07/04/2026: It was the first sunny day of spring, and I took advantage of it to catapult myself into Salento, eager to begin to smell the sea air, which, as we know, makes you hungry. This restaurant, found thanks to Google because it's not exactly on the coast, perfectly met my needs. Quality ingredients, beautifully prepared, served in abundance, so much so that you could fill up on a seafood lunch, which says it all. I look forward to seeing you soon in Martina to let you taste the meats of the Itria Valley.

I celebrated my father-in-law's birthday here today, and the experience was impeccable. Il Paisiello is a family-run restaurant that welcomes you in a quaint, rustic atmosphere, where the kindness of the staff (always professional and helpful) makes you feel right at home.
🍽️ The Menu: Freshness and Tradition
The highlight is undoubtedly the seafood. Here's what we tasted:
Appetizers: A triumph of flavors with an excellent seafood salad, authentic octopus meatballs, crispy cod croquettes, and tender octopus alla pignata (a true specialty).
First course: Caserecce pasta with baby lobster, flavorful and cooked to perfection.
Second course: A light, dry, and fragrant fried calamari and shrimp.
The finale: A refreshing sorbet, perfect after such a rich seafood feast.
🎨 The Ambience
We had lunch in the covered outdoor dining room: a very pleasant space dominated by white, made unique by naturalistic paintings on the walls and vintage objects that add a touch of personality and warmth to the atmosphere.
