I track the calories in everything I eat. An app suggested this place by scanning my photos. These focaccias counted toward my daily calorie count and were delicious. The place is quiet and the service is quick.

Incredible food. I would say an absolute must if you are staying in the city and willing to spend more than €75 on a meal. I could not be happier with what I ate.

Excellent food with great wine selection. Great staffs too, we would like to name Thomad specifically for being very friendly but professional. Reservation is recommended. We had the tasting menu with the wine combo.

Really wonderful gastronomy. Our tasting menu (Memories; 5 servings @ €90) was all seafood (except the dessert), and there was finesse and craftsmanship over the kitchen. Menu was paired with a 4-glass €40 wine menu, all regional, that supplemented very well. Fine, value-for-money, dining and it didn’t disappoint with its Michelin recommendation.

We enjoyed the full 8-course tasting menu, and it was outstanding! Every dish is a piece of art and the flavours are incredible. Service on very high level, but still very personal. Wine pairing was 4/5 OK, 1 a little bit off. We will for sure come back when visiting Bari again.

We ordered the signature dish course with a wine pairing menu. It was authentically Italian, with a touch of Japanese influence. The pasta and meat were exquisite! The Puglian wines paired with the dishes were four types: white, white, rosé, and red. They all matched the food perfectly and were delicious. The service, delivered with big smiles, was also very pleasant, making for a wonderful evening.

08/08/2026: Panzerotto is a fantastic Italian street food – fried dough similar to pizza dough, filled with mozzarella and tomato sauce, with additional ingredients depending on the variety. At Madia, the panzerotti are freshly fried, beautifully crispy, and simply delicious. There’s also a good selection to choose from, so it’s hard to stop at just one. And the best part? You can take your panzerotto with you and enjoy it just a few steps away, on the old city walls overlooking the sea and the harbour. This is exactly what great street food in Puglia should be like.
08/08/2026: Excellent, everything was delicious!! I had the panzerotto with mozzarella and tomato and it was spectacular. Big in size and lots of toppings. They make them on the spot so they're nice and hot... go for it, you won't regret it. PS You can choose the dough... there's also one with hemp flour.
