03/06/2025: As good marketing phenomena that they are, they decrease the quantity and size of the hamburgers, coincidentally on the day that there is the half-price promotion, and to tell the truth they have decreased the portions in general, without decreasing the prices! Congratulations!.... As if that were not enough, in the bill they make you pay the cover charge, which would also be fair, but 2 euros for a paper napkin (or rather waste paper) and a paper placemat, moreover with your advertising on it... seems excessive to me... The icing on the cake, I had ordered a hamburger with double bacon (as per the menu) and it arrived with only one slice, this means that the normal portion is half a slice!!!! OBSCENE!!!! so...never again! To be avoided!

26/04/2025: Tutto vale Per dare voce a chi di voce ne ha persa un po', oggi (in tali momenti clue, il decibel emesso da noi, i commensali, consone ad una trattoria di camionisti della bassa) siamo accolti con la gioia tipica di una giornata nella quale, da queste parti, il tasso di autolesionismo incrementa secondo un andamento matematico iperboleo. Ma in questa culla, tra i monti della val Strona, frequentata da gente a tratti chic, a tratti no, i primi di questa lista come il risottino mantecato alla moda vegia che dona le sembianze dell'eterno savoir faire della cucina piemontese, o come la prima categoria di clienti menzionati, ci si sente coccolati. Normalmente qui gli avventori intuiscono il rischio dell'altitudine. Lo svenimento o il collasso spontaneo dopo aver oltrepassaro la famigerata soglia dei 500 metri, sono naturali conseguenze della distanza dalle loro residenze consuetudinarie. In effetti una piccola (ma spaziosa) chicca, elevata tra i monti chiarendo che, Heidi comunque ci guarderebbe dall'alto verso il basso e Clara qui, non faticherebbe a raggiungerci. Piu in generale un posto caloroso e ricco di piccole sorprese, piacere supportato da un valido servizio: la ricerca del gusto, c'è, il vino, anche. 4 stelle +

07/04/2025: Io ed il mio compagno siamo stati un paio di domeniche fa, a pranzo, presso questo ristorante (attenzione che bisogna prenotare in anticipo altrimenti non si trova posto la domenica a pranzo, non so per gli altri giorni). Per non dilungarmi troppo sintetizzo a punti: - servizio: siamo stati abbandonati per circa 40 minuti (di orologio) solo con in mano il menù, senza sapere che c’erano piatti fuori menù…senza pane, acqua e vino. Nulla. Al momento di prendere l’ordinazione è stato tutto molto frettoloso senza nessuna spiegazione dei piatti del territorio proposti. Peccato. - Sala: molto rumorosa e chiassosa per la quantità di gente (tanta/troppa). - Cibo: nella media buono. I salumi dell’antipasto erano sicuramente di qualità, i secondi piatti ben cucinati ed i dolci nella media (il fondo della mia pavlova purtroppo era rimasto appiccicoso/umido). - Conto: antipasto di salumi, 2 secondi (coniglio e fegato entrambi con polenta), 2 dolci, vino e acqua (no caffè) totale: € 90,00. Secondo me ci sono giusto un paio di euro di troppo, ma anche in questo caso direi “nella media”. Tornerei solo qualora fossi di passaggio, perchè a mio avviso è un posto dove ho pranzato mediamente bene, ma come in tante altre trattorie/osterie della zona. La mia valutazione purtroppo tiene conto del servizio, ma per il cibo sicuramente 4 stelline. :)

03/05/2025: I only ate at the hotel restaurant. I order the shrimp in American cocktail sauce as a starter. I peel the shrimp, a green juice comes out of the shrimp with a particular smell. When I tell the waiter, he tells me that it's normal and that it's the best part and that he will break it all down for me. Luckily the sauce masked the taste. Next I ordered a seafood salad, the mussels and cockles were disgusting (overcooked, tasted stale). My friend ordered a carpaccio (not carpaccio meat, and the Italian grilled vegetables (waterlogged and no taste). Luckily my other friend's beef fillet was decent. Fortunately the setting in the garden is nice. Don't be fooled by the idyllic setting.

24/04/2025: Our large and welcoming room. Silent. We slept great. Hooks for towels would have been useful in the bathroom. Good and plentiful breakfast. The dishes they served us for dinner were also really good. Strategic location a stone's throw from the train station. Advised

29/05/2025: We arrived at the restaurant at 7:30 p.m. We waited almost two hours for the food to arrive, and we weren't the only ones complaining. The food was overpriced and mediocre. We certainly won't be eating here again.

23/05/2025: We didn't even eat, we waited 15 minutes for the waiter to take our order and gave up.

07/05/2025: Sempre perfetto. Al di là della posizione panoramica impagabile, trovo che la qualità della materia prima sia notevole, per chi ama la sostanza (e viene di certo accontentato anche chi ama la presentazione!). Per ultimo ma non meno importante: servizio impeccabile. Costo adeguato. Ci torno sempre volentieri. Ovvio che per avere tutto questo… bisogna prenotare per tempo!

14/01/2025: Today I found myself with my family choosing the pizzeria for lunch, we arrived at the table at 11.45 and at 11.55 they came to take the order for the 3 pizzas, meanwhile the restaurant was filled with workers, regular customers I believe, we always waiting for our 3 pizzas until they have served the other 6/7 tables and we ask about our order, they tell us in an annoyed tone that it was arriving at 12 .20 I ask for information and they tell us that our order sheet had slipped, but it was clear that they wanted to serve the workers first, in fact when everyone had already been served some had finished and we decided to get up and leave, our pizzas arrived, and the pizzas had already arrived. 12.30. I don't think they can be called pizzas, thin is fine but the bottom was even transparent due to how thin it was, raw because if cooked beyond that it would char from the thickness, in my son's there is the addition of a long hair and sent it back, in fact I couldn't eat all of my salad. I'm sorry but we will never go back again. One star is already too many.

25/01/2025: The Cabin! The word says it... and a mountain refuge not a starred hotel. Wooden house-style... a breathtaking location. An old-fashioned piece of furniture, but full of history, rustic. A characteristic, cozy place. The owner, Mr. Claudio manages La Baita together with his daughter, barman and his son who is the Chef. Dishes rich in flavours. Polenta, game, typical desserts. an essential but complete menu. I "escape" when I can! I've been going there for more than a decade and recommend it! Updated in 2024. The very nice artist of many. Freehand.drawings.. theme.mountain.and.its.animals.. as well as Alpine of.2WW. He passed away. With great pain. 💔😪

04/06/2025: Accueil et personnel très attentionné et sympathique. Plats goûteux, et un coup de cœur pour la pâtes al vongole à la poutargue! Un délice. Un peu déçu par le tiramisu, beau mais un peu sec, mais on lui laisse 5 étoiles (4,5 si on pouvait).

27/05/2025: Eravamo cinque amiche e ci siamo imbattute in questo bellissimo ristorantino nella piazzetta principale di Stresa. Fin dal primo momento ci siamo sentite a nostro agio: il personale è stato super efficiente e cordiale. Il cibo, così come le porzioni, era ottimo e ha superato ogni aspettativa. 05/04/2025: Bel locale, con ampio parcheggio anche se quando pieno un po' troppo rumoroso. Lo staff è gentile e veloce, il menù ampio con una buona scelta di pizze. La pizza è sottile e ben farcita. Il problema? Sarà forse una questione di gusti ma al mio tavolo tutti concordavano. Non so se è un problema dell' impasto o della cottura, ma la pizza è secca. Sembra quasi pane biscottato. È un peccato perché gli ingredienti usati sono ottimi

30/03/2025: Das Essen war sehr lecker. Wir hatten Pizza und Spaghetti mit Meeresfrüchten. Bin da immer sehr heikel aber Qualität war gut. Personal dürfte freundlicher sein, kaum ein Lachen bekommen. In der Küche wird in Trainerhosen gearbeitet, das findet man nur in Italien 🤭😅 Schöner Aussenbereich und innen auch sehr italienisch, nur sehr laut. Man darf hier nicht pingelig sein. War im Grossen und Ganzen aber in Ordnung, waren vorallem wegen dem Essen dort.

La caray combina carnes y pescados como platos principales destacando la Tagliatta di Scottona alla griglia. Calidad/precio muy correcto por lo que es recomendable en la zona

27/04/2025: Esperienza che sfiora la perfezione. Hotel bellissimo con una camera molto spaziosa, bella e soprattutto pulitissima. Cena squisita inclusa (antipasto, primo, secondo, dolce, acqua e caffè) tutto ottimo a base di pesce super fresco e delizioso. L'atmosfera è elegante ed accogliente. Ci ritorneremo sicuramente!

25/04/2025: Abbiamo cenato in questo suggestivo ristorante vista lago. Servizio attento e cortese, menú incentrato sul pesce di lago, con poche varianti, pietanze ben cucinate e presentate, anche se a mio parere non indimenticabili. Prezzi in linea con offerta e qualitá dell esperienza. Nota dolente le opzioni fuori menu per i bambini (prezzo non esposto). Una cotoletta con patatine fritte viene fatta pagare 20€, che sommata ai 10€ di coperto (che include il servizio trasporto in motoscafo, ma noi ne abbiamo usufruito perchè pernottavamo in altro albergo sull isola), fa 60€ per sfamare (male) 2 figli. Meglio andarci senza.
