We ordered a plate of prosciutto and melon as an aperitif. The menu photo showed six slices of melon, but we only received half that amount. The service was okay.

We stayed here for four days. Excellent drinks, especially the limoncello spritz. Fast service and reasonable prices. Excellent location in the center of Stresa. Excellent platters.

Great refreshment right on the market square We made a quick stop here and weren't disappointed. The location right on the large market square is simply unbeatable – perfect for watching the hustle and bustle and soaking up the atmosphere. Pickup was quick and easy. The beer was perfectly chilled and just what we needed for a short break. The ice cream deserves special mention: the combination with the fresh strawberries was delicious and of very high quality. Anyone looking for a tasty refreshment in a prime location should definitely stop by. We'll be back!

Restaurant visit: Well, there are much better options in Stresa. After a city tour, we wanted to grab a bite to eat and were guided by the idea of ​​"eating cheaply." It wasn't a good decision. While the location is nice, the restaurant was a bit hectic, and the service seemed overwhelmed. The food is more like a fast-food joint. The prices were okay, but you can't expect more for the portion sizes.

We had a wonderful meal; the dishes were delicious and exactly as pictured—even better! Perfect for a simple and pleasant evening. Centrally located on a lovely square. The staff were friendly and very kind.

The hot chocolate was excellent, and the chocolate croissants were also very good. The terrace gets plenty of morning sun. The staff was friendly; we recommend it for a morning coffee on the terrace.

13/06/2026: "Café Glace" is the advertising slogan. The small bowl contained an espresso and a tiny scoop of ice cream—a really tiny scoop with a lot of whipped cream inside. A bit disappointing. You're paying for the location. At least the server spoke English :)
11/06/2026: Yesterday evening, all the restaurants were booked for groups. Despite the negative reviews, we went to L'Union. To our great surprise, it was a wonderful evening. The staff were charming, friendly, and smiling. The atmosphere was lovely, with a calm and shaded terrace. The meal was perfectly suited to the island of Precatore. It cost 73 euros for two people: a shared starter, two main courses, and a shared dessert. As for the portions, we went out for dinner. An exciting experience, the "dolce vita" Italian style.
