13/09/2025: This tavern transforms into a traditional restaurant in the evening, with cheerful lights. Generous portions, tasty dishes, typical of our Piedmontese cuisine, and fair prices. The Vittoria appetizer includes Russian salad, tomini cheese with green and red sauce and Fassona tartare, tongue with greens, leek and potato agnolotti with bacon and honey, Val Maira ravioli, and delicious desserts. Attracted by the sign in the window, we would have also liked the fried porcini mushrooms, but unfortunately they weren't available. Maybe next time.

14/08/2025: When we arrived at 1 p.m., the café was closed, even though no closing time was advertised. We waited an extra hour because Google Maps showed the café as "busier than usual," even though it appeared to be closed that day, given the closed shutters.

A message would have been nice to let us know and avoid unnecessary travel!! It's a shame, considering the culinary quality and all the positive reviews; we didn't expect this. Best regards.

14/08/2025: Pleasant and attentive service. Honest and fairly light cuisine (not too heavy or too greasy), which is very pleasant. Pizzas, starters and main courses are well-filled. Delicious strawberry meringue, pavlova style, not too sweet. You leave feeling full but not bloated 👍

10/07/2025: While passing through Ivrea for an evening, we discovered this restaurant and had a great time. We ate typical dishes outdoors and were treated with kindness and professionalism. The price was fair. I highly recommend it.

15/04/2025: After a very pleasant Sunday lunch with the family, I confirm with even more enthusiasm that the Cascina Barbassa restaurant is an obligatory stop for lovers of good Piedmontese cuisine. The rustic and welcoming environment proved to be even warmer and perfect for a convivial Sunday lunch. The real protagonist, as always, is the cuisine, which skilfully enhances the authentic flavors of the territory. We particularly appreciated the abundance of the portions and the attentiveness of the staff, who passed between the tables several times asking if we still wanted to taste their delights. A gesture of attention that denotes great care for the guest. The ingredients are very fresh, and you can clearly perceive their origin from the farm, guaranteeing excellent quality. The appetizers with the particular ostrich cured meats were an excellent opening, followed by first courses with homemade pasta reminiscent of the flavors of the past. The meat-based second courses were a true triumph of taste, and the wide choice of excellent local wines perfectly accompanied each course. The young and friendly staff contributed to making the atmosphere even more pleasant and relaxed, demonstrating professionalism and availability. The quality-price ratio is absolutely excellent, considering the abundance and authenticity of the dishes offered. The Cascina Barbassa restaurant is not just a meal, but an unforgettable culinary experience, a true triumph of genuine flavors and tradition, made even more special by the warm welcome and attention to the customer. Highly recommended for a Sunday family lunch or for any occasion where you want to taste the true essence of Piedmontese cuisine.

16/08/2025: We were looking for a restaurant serving typical Italian cuisine, particularly with very good pizzas, and we weren't disappointed. Two excellent appetizers followed by two equally good pizzas. Attentive service and staff. More than excellent value for money. We recommend it without hesitation.

16/08/2025: We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance while strolling and decided to try it out. It's rather unassuming from the outside, but the interior is air-conditioned and very pleasant. The menu offers a wide selection of classic Italian dishes, albeit only in Italian—which fits with the authentic charm. We tried pasta and seafood, both of which were delicious and freshly prepared. We particularly liked the value for money, which is really fair for the quality. All in all, a successful visit; we would definitely return.

31/08/2025: First time we went to eat at this pizzeria, we had a good time, both with the food and the environment, and cleanliness, the only flaw if you can call it a flaw we waited longer than necessary for the food, maybe because it was busy, very good pizza as well as the farinata, so the wait was rewarded, soft pizza light and very digestible, I think we will make other visits, I forgot small pizzeria inside informal and welcoming, with a small outdoor terrace excellent 👏👏👍

The restaurant is small, but welcoming like a house of happy memories. Tablecloths that remind us of the sea, waves drawn with grace, and an atmosphere that whispers “slow down, here you can savor”. Our journey begins with a Plateau Royal: a triumph of the sea in celebration, fleshy oysters that taste of wind and depth, sea lemons as bright as rare pearls, scallops that melt like whispers, red shrimp with an intense and proud flavor, salmon and tuna tartare, raw delicacies that caress the palate like liquid poetry. Then, like an unexpected twist, the prawns with gorgonzola arrive – a bold, creamy, inebriating harmony: an embrace between sea and land, that remains in the memory like a well-written song. The heart of the dinner is a sea bass with a sincere flavor, cooked to perfection, soft and fragrant, placed on a crunchy potato crust, which envelops the dish in a warm caress. And finally, the dessert: a chocolate sphere that opens like a secret, revealing softness and intensity, and a Salento cream pasticciotto – not too sweet, just the right amount: an authentic cuddle, between tradition and lightness. To accompany it all, a bottle recommended by the splendid Mrs. Miriam: a Sicilian Kikè, fragrant, enveloping, that danced with the dishes as if it already knew everything. High quality, more than honest price - a rare combination, that makes the heart smile. The staff is kind, authentic, present. And Mrs. Miriam, with grace and intelligence, was a precious compass among the flavors. And then there is Mr. Pino - chef, owner, discreet and true soul of this place. His cuisine speaks for itself: it tells of attention, experience, respect for the raw material and a sincere desire to make those who sit at the table feel good. In short, a beautiful discovery. A place from which you leave full... also of beauty. We will return. With pleasure, and with appetite.

08/09/2025: On a trip to Cantoira, a small village above Lanzo, we stopped for lunch at this trattoria, where we ate very well. The staff were friendly and helpful.

25/07/2025: Purtroppo l'esperienza che ho provato in questa trattoria non è stata delle migliori, a partire dal fatto che l'indirizzo indicato qui su TripAdvisor non fosse quello effettivo da oramai quattro anni. In compenso il personale è stato gentilissimo e disponibile. In merito ai piatti, mi sono piaciuti moltissimo gli antipasti e ho preferito meno i primi. Infine non ho particolarmente apprezzato il fatto che i prezzi della maggior parte dei piatti non fossero indicati nel dettaglio. Infatti erano segnati in alto, vicino a "antipasti", "primi" e "secondi" e oscillavano (per esempio 10/12 €).
