15/04/2025: After a very pleasant Sunday lunch with the family, I confirm with even more enthusiasm that the Cascina Barbassa restaurant is an obligatory stop for lovers of good Piedmontese cuisine. The rustic and welcoming environment proved to be even warmer and perfect for a convivial Sunday lunch. The real protagonist, as always, is the cuisine, which skilfully enhances the authentic flavors of the territory. We particularly appreciated the abundance of the portions and the attentiveness of the staff, who passed between the tables several times asking if we still wanted to taste their delights. A gesture of attention that denotes great care for the guest. The ingredients are very fresh, and you can clearly perceive their origin from the farm, guaranteeing excellent quality. The appetizers with the particular ostrich cured meats were an excellent opening, followed by first courses with homemade pasta reminiscent of the flavors of the past. The meat-based second courses were a true triumph of taste, and the wide choice of excellent local wines perfectly accompanied each course. The young and friendly staff contributed to making the atmosphere even more pleasant and relaxed, demonstrating professionalism and availability. The quality-price ratio is absolutely excellent, considering the abundance and authenticity of the dishes offered. The Cascina Barbassa restaurant is not just a meal, but an unforgettable culinary experience, a true triumph of genuine flavors and tradition, made even more special by the warm welcome and attention to the customer. Highly recommended for a Sunday family lunch or for any occasion where you want to taste the true essence of Piedmontese cuisine.

30/04/2025: We went to this restaurant for dinner with friends and children and had a really great time! The welcome was warm, the service attentive and friendly. The dishes were excellent, plentiful and well presented, with quality ingredients. Even though there were many of us and with several children, everything went smoothly and pleasantly. A perfect place to eat well and feel at home. We will definitely be back!

25/05/2025: The food was average, the only thing we didn't like at all was the fact that there were no prices on the menu but a price range for each category (starters, first courses, etc.) .. obviously in addition to putting the maximum on the receipt, for some things the price was even higher than the indicated range. The lady who served us was kind but we were disappointed by the bill.

18/03/2025: Small restaurant about 40 minutes from Turin. Convivial atmosphere, with two or three stoves in the room; everything makes you feel at home. Opted for a menu with many mixed appetizers, two first courses, two second courses, and a dessert. There were many appetizers, from those with minced meat to refreshing ones with celery. All very good. Ah, to appreciate the constant change of bread and various white pizzas (soft and tasty). The first courses are excellent: the braised ravioli are of great quality! The latter are good but perhaps not at the level of the former. Strong and decisive flavours. The exceptional dessert! Cake with strawberry filling. Friendly service and pleasant atmosphere! If you pass by here, stop by!

16/07/2025: They always offer the same menu (which can be changed upon request): cold cuts from Valchiusella, chestnuts in butter, vegetable flan, fresh Valchiusella tometta and boiled potatoes (a typical dish from Valchiusella), polenta concia and non with wild boar and veal, dessert and coffee.

08/05/2025: Beautiful, panoramic location, pleasant food without excess, truly terrible service! There were 6 of us, we ordered bottles of wine (not the mediocre quality loose wine) which was simply brought to the table without tasting with an inadequate glass. Staff evidently recovered at the last minute with evident difficulties in relating to customers. Finally, at the time of payment (in cash) the owner dismissed us without a receipt, in short "run away, take it, go"! NB: We were with friends from Lombardy who had suggested the suggestive location! We won't be back, the farm is good but they underestimate the most demanding customers.

01/07/2025: Our experience was not positive because my husband took a seasonal pizza with porcini mushrooms, Bra sausage and truffle paying 18 euros and the truffle didn't taste of anything; when it was time to pay I was asked if everything was okay so I said no explaining the problem ... the answer was that in this season it is like this ... and therefore they included it among the seasonal pizzas making you overpay even though you know it!!! I would have appreciated an appropriate discount for the truffle "not received". The tables were not very far from each other and it was too hot despite the air conditioning ... I think these last inconveniences were due to the white night: they tried to accommodate more people and I can understand this. Compliments instead to the boy who served us for his kindness and preparation.

24/05/2025: Locale da premiare anche solo perché sempre aperto, oltre ad ottime pizze cotte in forno a legna, offre anche piatti tipici e con prodotti stagionali, i primi sono golosi ed abbondanti. la mise en place è soddisfacente come pure la carta dei vini. Il personale è gentile e professionale coi tempi di attesa molto rapidi ed il conto non ha riservato sorprese, ma ci è sembrato giusto. Unica pecca sono in po' rumorosi i tavoli a bordo strada, ma comunque un posto da consigliare.

16/03/2025: Excelente pasta, jabalí ragu, pato, aperitivo de sardinas. Teníamos un servidor encantador, ella hablaba inglés bien. Hermosa casa de esquí antigua, hay una foto de ella de 1890 en el pasillo principal! Esquiamos, almorzamos, luego regresamos a las pistas. Vaya despacio a medida que se acerca en la cuesta abajo, hay una pequeña abertura en la valla y un letrero que apunta al restaurante y la posada. Es súper encantador y hermoso en el restaurante. Excelente comida italiana!

27/02/2025: Gran comienzo con un paseo móvil de esquí por la montaña. Gran comida y ambiente. Sin duda vale la pena visitar cuando en sauze d'oulx!
