22/07/2025: What a hidden gem! Very popular, so a booking would be advised. I was new to this town and just took a stroll and came along this lovely restaurant at 19h30. They kindly managed to squeeze me in. By 20h30 it was full. Everything is made to perfection. The best fillet steak I have ever had, no sauce needed. The vegetables and salad were so colourful and fresh. Service was friendly. It just had such an amazing atmosphere. Prices were good. Starter, drink, fillet steak, potatoes, roasted veg, salad and dessert at €55.

17/08/2025: Very nice place, especially the terrace directly on the lake, which is truly beautiful. Really good food. The tagliolini with lake ragù were incredible, one of the best pasta dishes I've ever had. The rest of the dishes were also very good. Recommended and definitely worth returning to.

24/07/2025: I often frequent this charming little place in the center of Novara. It offers an excellent selection of wines, well-crafted cocktails, and well-tasted draft beer. A small restaurant offering quality delicacies... Highly recommended!

20/07/2025: Let’s start with the positives: the area is beautiful overlooking Lake Orta and the most famous 3 Michelin star in the region. From the moment you park at the designated car park for the restaurant, you will walk through their organic garden where they get all their fruit, veg and herbs. We came for lunch and ate outside which was a real vibe as we took in the view. Even if it rains, most tables are protected by the above trees which created an even more romantic setting. Now the negatives: I thought the food was very average; especially considering the high prices. La Darbia is clearly going for a Michelin star given the service, location and prices but there is a reason they don’t have one in my opinion. We had the tasting menu which is 5 course meal, and tried both the vegetarian and meat options. I thought the pasta course was the best followed by the dessert. The other courses I will forget about by next week, average at best. I will also stress than my partner’s vegetarian menu was better than the meat one. Service was good, staff mostly spoke English. Professional service. Overall: it was an ok meal, an amazing atmosphere but wouldn’t go back.

17/07/2025: Llegamos sin ninguna expectativa específica, ya que no estábamos familiarizados con el lugar, pero nos quedamos completamente impresionados por el personal excepcional, el entorno impresionante, el ambiente cálido y acogedor, y la comida exquisita acompañada de menús de vinos perfectamente maridados con y sin alcohol.

15/08/2025: Ferragosto lunch. This is our second time here, and we're still very happy with the food. The service is always prompt and friendly. It's definitely a great place to eat at reasonable prices.

05/08/2025: Il mio giudizio in generale non può essere positivo in assoluto. Soprattutto per il riso Nerone con zola e gamberi. Quest’ultimi chiaramente decongelati, non scongelati al momento e non dichiarati nel menu. Per il resto delle pietanze ordinate posso esprimere un giudizio nella media. Non si percepisce quell’empatia che invece ci deve essere. Bisognerebbe fare un salto di qualità.

23/08/2025: The pizza was reasonably priced and delicious. The pizza maker spoke Spanish and treated us like royalty. If I return to Novara, I'm sure I'll go there for lunch.

23/08/2025: There's really little to say... this pizza is delicious! I ordered it to take away and it arrived perfect.. in three bites it was finished.. I highly recommend it! :)

07/09/2025: We had a great time, small gnocchi with gorgonzola, simple and effective. Very good service, nice setting and not too noisy. I recommend it
