13/04/2025: I write this review with regret, because I have very positive memories of this restaurant, visited about eight years ago, always in January. At the time I was struck by the welcoming atmosphere, with the fireplace lit, grilled meat and typical dishes of the area, many of which were based on truffles. Returning this year, I unfortunately found a general decline in attention and care, both in the environment and in the gastronomic offer. The fireplace was turned off, and the meat was prepared exclusively on the griddle — which, in my opinion, does not offer the same experience. The menu offered first courses such as carbonara and amatriciana, good but common, easily available elsewhere. What I missed was precisely the identity of the territory: no proposals linked to truffles, which years ago were instead the protagonist of the menu. Furthermore, the service showed some rigidity right from the start, with the waiter placing limits on our choice of dishes ("this one yes, this one no"), generating a sense of disorientation. In cases like these, it would be useful to set up an external blackboard or an updated menu that informs customers about real availability, allowing an informed choice right at the entrance. The selection was limited and, personally, I did not find enough stimulation in the menu to fully enjoy the meal. I chose the bare minimum out of courtesy, but then concluded lunch elsewhere, where I was able to enjoy tastings of truffles and fresh local cured meats. I'm sorry to have to express a negative opinion, but I hope that this review will be accepted as a constructive contribution. The place has great potential, also due to its beauty and tourist location, and I sincerely hope to be able to return there one day and rediscover the quality and authenticity that I had appreciated in the past. I write with affection and with the hope of a future relaunch.

02/04/2025: Hotel to avoid: no hot water after 6 hours of walking, the toilets do not work, dilapidated bedding, no box spring, blanket with holes..

15/08/2024: Country bar, with little attention to service, especially the poor glass department, for the aperitif service the right glass is never paired, negative note the older lady very rude at least towards me for sure, then she is not the most friendly, negative rating as a review.

09/09/2024: Unfriendly (unhappy?) owner. The room was old and not well maintained, but clean. Collapsed building right in front.

14/08/2024: One night stay (unfortunately) Quiet and isolated location. The narrow road and the parking at the back are a bit expensive (be careful of the neighbor's dogs). Furnishings a little dated but in line with the lack of tourism in the area. A few more pointers along the way would help. Courteous staff. Good breakfast and cuisine. Spectacular morning view.

29/01/2025: The waitress came to the table to ask what they wanted and didn't even say hello. We waited for two pizzas which arrived after more than 45 minutes, after our request they realized that the order had been lost!! In the meantime, about ten other people served. We were supposed to go to the cinema and missed the screening!! 🤬😡🤬😡🤬

24/05/2025: Posto magnifico e quasi magico. Cena di famiglia e non solo, cibo ottimo e una carne favolosa. È diventato un posto a me oramai legato non solo dal gusto ma anche dalle emozioni. Devo sempre fare i complimenti perché è un bellissimo posto e mantenuto in modo eccezionale.

16/03/2025: We went for a birthday on a Saturday evening. Exceptional welcome from the owners, very welcoming, tidy and clean environment. Attentive and punctual service to customer needs. Piedmontese menu with typical dishes, all very appetizing and generous portions. The venison and the dessert were very good. Good choice of wine. I can't comment on the price, but from how it was presented to me it is good value for money. We will definitely be back, also to taste their famous mushroom menu.

16/02/2025: Ottimo ristorante con cucina tipica piemontese. Molto buona la carne all'albese con salsa alla bagna cauda, gli agnolotti al ragù; eccellente il bunet. Gentilissimi i proprietari. Da provare.

05/05/2025: Viaggio di gusto molto particolare. I piatti non erano eccessivamente rivisitati ma molto belli e buoni al palato. Particolarmente apprezzato il carciofo Scelta dei vini da migliorare Locale carino, intimo con pochi posti

21/01/2025: Buongiorno, non avendo ricevuto alcun riscontro alla mail inviata direttamente all'indirizzo utilizzato già in precedenza per conferme di prenotazioni e comunicazioni varie, ci permettiamo di riproporre quanto descritto in forma personale a seguito cena aziendale del 3 dicembre u.s.: Buonasera, sono oltre 20 anni che puntualmente nella seconda metà di novembre ci serviamo dei Vostri ristoranti per la cena aziendale "con tartufo" tra soci e clienti primari con grande soddisfazione sia nostra che dei nostri invitati. Purtroppo, ci duole segnalare, che nella serata di ieri, martedì 3 dicembre, abbiamo riscontrato inadeguatezze riguardanti il servizio. Elenchiamo brevemente quanto accaduto: al momento delle ordinazioni dei piatti sono emerse perplessità sulle nostre richieste sia sui piatti a menù che sulla possibilità di gestire la "grattata" del tartufo in autonomia come sempre in precedenza; il primo ordine di vini non è stato accompagnato dalle consuete entrèe di benvenuto (almeno i grissini); la prima bottiglia di barbera è stata consumata "a secco"; richiesto il tartufo da scegliere abbiamo dovuto domandare la bilancia per la nostra solita opzione di verifica del peso seguendo una prassi per noi consolidata in quanto per esperienza preferiamo proporre in abbinamento ai piatti la "grattata" ai nostri ospiti; prelevati dal vassoio con le nostre mani c'è stata negata la possibilità di utilizzare l'apposita taglierina... non abbiamo francamente capito il motivo, forse ne era disponibile una sola? Sorvoliamo sulla ripetuta osservazione di mancanza del pane e dei condimenti sulla tavola, ma riteniamo inammissibile la non sostituzione dei calici al cambio di vino in una enoteca del Vostro livello. Per ultimo, il prezzo del tartufo era sensibilmente diverso da quanto comunicatoci la settimana precedente nella quale non abbiamo potuto prenotare causa indisponibilità di posti. Abbiamo preferito scrivere queste osservazioni piuttosto che recensire negativamente sui social sperando possano servire a migliorare la Vostra offerta e farci cambiare idea sul prossimo appuntamento.

03/06/2025: Un ambiente molto curato dove si serve un cibo ottimo.. disponibilità e cortesia oltre che una grande professionalità fanno da cornice al tutto… diciamo che in un piccolo borgo come Farigliano e’ la ciliegina sulla torta… consiglio veramente

30/04/2025: Con 2 coppie di amici abbiamo festeggiato un compleanno. Tutto molto buono, io finalmente ho potuto gustare il baccalà mantecato, perché senza aglio (sono intollerante). Gli gnocchetti con i gamberetti erano delicati e anche la dose era adeguata. Unico neo, forse, il semifreddo allo zabaione che era ancora gelato. 26/05/2025: tolles Restaurant mit wunderschöner Terrasse und tollem Service wie auch Speisen. Anlässlich "Barbaresco a Tavola 2025" waren wir wieder im Rabaya - ein tolles Menu wurde serviert und die Weine konnten verkostet werden.

07/05/2025: Wir haben das Restaurant schon vor drei Jahren schätzen gelernt. Es ist ein Muss eines jeden Urlaubs von uns. Die Reservierung über Telefon unproblematisch. Die Speisen sind allererster Güte und die Preise eher günstig für solch Qualität. Die Bedienungen sehr gut ausgebildet und sehr aufmerksam. Ein Restaurant der obersten Kategorie. Die Terrasse ist genial und hat eine tolle Aussicht auf die Weinberge. Sonnenschutz nicht vergessen. Sonnenhüte vorhanden

18/05/2025: Arriving at Bar Corona Grossa after seeing the photos published on Google, I expected to find a nice aperitif but unfortunately for us, that was not the case. After stopping one evening on the fly just for a beer, the other day I decided to stop with a friend for an aperitif since both the position and the location are still really beautiful, especially the latter really well-kept. After placing our orders they let us know that (on Saturday late afternoon) the vermouth has run out and that therefore they will use a different one for our drink, which they say is of superior quality, which is why there will be an additional one euro per drink. I was astonished by this notice, since the lack is theirs, we accept it anyway... The drinks arrive which, obviously, not using the actual vermouth, do not have the correct flavor. They then continue with a ridiculous Aperitif plate for 2, with 4 slices of salami 2cm in diameter, two slices of cheese, two cubes of focaccia crust, and 2 mini croutons with the sauce poured over them. We are really disappointed at the sight of such a poor plate. They also ask us to pay immediately while other customers near us are not asked the same thing. Having paid 16 euros total for 2 drinks it seemed like a steal compared to other places that in addition to having lower or similar prices serve really rich dishes and do not treat you like a potential thief (we are in Saluzzo, not in the center of Milan). Having said that, I hope this review wakes up the management a little in order to help them find the right path. The guys who work there are really friendly instead.

12/05/2025: First time, a watered down spritz for 6 euros and the request to pay as soon as the order arrives doesn't make me feel like a customer. The service was good otherwise, good luck

03/05/2025: We ate for lunch on a Saturday, friendly and helpful staff, but prices a little high for a bar restaurant on a Saturday for lunch (€50 for two for two raw meats and two plates of pasta with coffee)

06/04/2025: The restaurant is located in the historic center of Cavallermaggiore, the interior is nice and clean. The reason why the rating is only two stars concerns the prices: a small ginseng coffee is €1.50, the cost is still proportionate, while the excessive and not at all proportionate cost is the price of the large ginseng, which is €3.00 considering the dose is ridiculous for a similar price. Finally, we note the lack of price exposure.
