18/07/2025: 5 stars because it doesn't get any better. Sublime food, friendly staff, wonderful location. Definitely worth a try.

08/06/2025: Visited the farmhouse for a Sunday lunch. Large and very nice location. Excellent dishes.

03/07/2025: The style is that of the typical "piola", with a clean and welcoming environment. Fast and friendly service. Fresh daily dishes with simple, genuine but good quality cuisine. Really basic and convenient lunch prices. I will definitely be back.

10/06/2025: I've rarely been turned away so rudely. We didn't even get to eat, even though my wife and I, along with our three daughters, had eagerly anticipated the half-hour walk to get to this oh-so-great "restaurant." When I saw the long-haired, yawning waiter behind the counter drying a glass, I wanted to leave right away. The man had obviously never really worked. When my wife politely asked if we could enjoy something to eat (at 7:30 a.m.) in the completely deserted dining room, he waved us off. He apparently not only didn't want to speak English, he couldn't speak it either. And he sent us away. Funnily enough, they added, the restaurant was completely booked later on, too. When we walked past again later after an excellent meal at the neighboring restaurant (see review of La Cucina), the restaurant was still deserted. The waiter must have also fallen asleep.

24/05/2025: A prosecco, a Negroni and a small plate with two appetizers without crisps, without two peanuts, without anything else, €21. Don't go!!!

30/07/2025: This morning, the manager was unfit for the job, a rude person who doesn't want the buses to stop. No problem, they won't see me again, nor will all my colleagues who, like me, were treated badly today. THANKS AUTOGRILL, WE WILL STOP AT SARNI TO AVOID DISCUSSIONS.

29/07/2025: The legendary Cantagallo has lost its stars... what a shame. Not to mention the prices at the gas station... oh well, the highway, though...

13/07/2025: The food is good, but the wait is really too long. The location could be much nicer if only the garden were more well-kept and there weren't all those cats wandering around the tables, making the courtyard smelly.

02/07/2025: very good pizza but exaggeratedly high prices. I took a pizza that cost 10 euros and instead of salami I put cherry tomatoes and peppers, which being vegetables I'm sure they cost less than meat. They made me pay for two additions, when in fact it was an addition and a substitution for 2 EURO PER ADDITION. 4 euros more for peppers and cherry tomatoes?? Also desserts that cost 6 euros but are small and not particularly good. Very nice location but you can't spend 40 euros for two pizzas and a dessert BUYING WATER. Last week also taking beer and coke we paid 24 in another pizzeria...

02/08/2025: What a great find! An acquaintance had already raved about this restaurant, and today we were in the area and stopped for lunch. Everything was excellent! From the delicious and plentiful carbonara to the delicious coda alla vaccinara. Everything was well-cooked, the service was friendly and fast, the restaurant is rustic, and the price was excellent. We'd definitely recommend it, and we'll be back soon.

11/07/2025: This place used to be in the Osterie d’Italia guide until 2024. I perfectly understand why it was removed from the 2025 edition. Food is ok, but service was very deficient. No explanation about what to eat, they just assumed we wanted the full menu and started bringing food. It took us almost three hours to have dinner, there was a very long interval between dishes. They did not offer any drinks or wine. Place was almost empty, except for an extremely noisy group of foreigners. The fact that no Italian was eating in the place on Thursday night should have been a dead giveaway, but we thought it was because we were there at 8. Will never come here again. One good point: an unforgettable eggplant carpaccio.

30/06/2025: June 25: A beautiful summer evening, 30 degrees Celsius, and the wonderful garden was closed, so we had to eat in the dining room. We were there for the fourth time, and this was our last! The ambiance? What kind? Zero! No wine list. Long waits between courses, even though there was only one menu for the entire restaurant and only nine tables were occupied.

03/08/2025: Nice place, good service. We ordered 3 menus and a bottle of Gavi for €125. The mussels were good; the fried squid wasn't up to par. The frozen squid wasn't good. Sir, you only do fish, you can't serve frozen fried food. Andrea.

13/07/2025: We went here for the first time at the invitation of friends. The place overall is nice and well-kept. We ate one of the fish menus, and I must say the dishes were average, very home-made. The service was a bit slow, and the wine list wasn't very good.

07/07/2025: Soft sour and soft yogurt ice cream. Thrown away to avoid stomach ache. The dose is really small for 3.20.

09/06/2025: A small but cozy ice cream shop, to die for. I had pistachio (my favorite) and a surprise fior d'arancio, and I'll be back tomorrow!

22/06/2025: Really good products, you can't say otherwise. Kind and polite staff. Seating both inside and outside in good weather it is pleasant to spend the evening sitting at their outdoor tables enjoying one of their delicacies. If I have to find a small flaw it is the proportions between price and minimum quantity of ice cream in the cones and cups. However I recommend it to everyone and I will always return!!!

18/07/2025: A simple but pleasant hotel high up in the hills, in a completely peaceful setting. The food is excellent, and the rooms are simple but clean and welcoming. The owners are friendly, helpful, and welcoming. A highly recommended stay.
