08/06/2025: When I entered the Accademia restaurant in the heart of Casale Monferrato, I felt as if I hadn't just landed in a historic palace, but in a mysterious chapter of a novel that Dumas never finished. The Palazzo Gozzani Treville not only preserves frescoes and stucco, but perhaps also an ancient legend… For how can this strange coincidence be explained? Here, the estate of the Italian Gozzani di Treville family, there, the honorable de Tréville, Captain of the Musketeers? I took a seat by the window and watched the ancient streets of Casale Monferrato sink into twilight. I ordered risotto to accompany it—a dish as elegant as the manners of a French nobleman. The cuisine? Precise as a sword stroke: refined, regional, with a touch of French finesse. Who knows, perhaps one of the descendants of the great de Tréville has actually found his second home here? In any case, Accademia is not just a restaurant, but a gastronomic duel between history and taste – and the guest is the winner.

15/06/2025: Dopo che il Puny la lasciato dobbiamo fare i conti con i figli. Il pranzo e stato assai buono con l'antipasto di salumi vari di qualità, il primo di riso gratinato al forno con crostacei e il gelato ai frutti di bosco. Buon timorasso 2023 a tutto pasto. In accompagnamento al gelato Piccolit collio. Caffè buono e cognac altrettanto (Gabriel et Andreu 1973). Un appunto alla pasticceria secca offerta: moscia e secondo me rafferma. Un elogio allo chef Mattia Murchio, uomo non diplomatico, e fin troppo. Ma generoso, simpatico e leale. Mi ha offerto un distillato alle rose mentre io gli esponevo le mie critiche. In definitiva, locale ok, ma attenzione alle critiche. Non sono accettate. Ancora un encomio allo chef Mattia che ha saputo magistralmente accogliere l'eredità del padre, Stefano, con il quale io ho interloquito per più e più anni. Una raccomandazione per le sorelle di Mattia: il cliente ha sempre ragione (inteso nell'ottica giusta).

Both classic dishes revisited with creativity and intelligence, and more innovative ones. Excellent Quails cooked in Villeroy style and cannoli filled on the spot. We will definitely be back. 01/06/2025: I leave this review by saying that I don't like restaurants that offer a more niche and gourmet choice. We went to this place because of the limited availability in the area given the time (around 2 pm). We had two appetizers and a second cheese plate; the choice was very limited and also, being celiac, I had to exclude all the first courses. We asked if it was possible to bring everything together, but we were told no. Overall the food was not bad, I was just sorry that the dishes were not explained to us: when the cheese plate arrived the owner stopped to give us a very quick explanation of the types of cheeses only as requested by us (the question was banal: "what cheeses are they?"). The environment was really suffocating, very small and without even a bit of background music. We spent around €15 per dish. Overall I would not go back.

22/05/2025: La cascina che ospita il ristorante è all interno degli orti comunali, bellissimo spazio con orto didattico e location per eventi, a 2 passi dal centro cittadino. Menù con opzioni gluten free, semplice ma gustoso. Gestito da cooperativa sociale di tipo B. Prezzo ottimo, al pari del servizio e progetto sottostante.

25/05/2025: Beautiful restaurant, excellent food (monferrato appetizer and asparagus and cuttlefish risotto). Delightful staff who served us very well. Slightly high prices, but for the service and the products used it is certainly worth it. If you pass by Ovada you must try it.

08/06/2025: Delicious wine shop that offers a variety of excellent wines, not to mention the fantastic Gin Aroma of its own production. You can't miss stopping by if you are passing through Tortona. Furthermore, the food proposals are excellent and of the highest quality. I will always and only return there when I happen to be in those parts again.
