A very nice pizza restaurant. In a quiet area across from the hospital. I loved the pizza. It was cooked just right, not too salty, and made with quality ingredients. The freshly made chocolate cake is amazing, although you have to wait a bit, but it's worth it. The staff is super nice and friendly. If you're in the area, I recommend stopping by.

I knew this pizzeria and restaurant because it's across from the Somma Lombardo hospital, but I'd been there years ago. Now I have to say, it's top! The entire menu, both in the restaurant and the pizzeria, is AIC certified, meaning gluten-free. This time I tried the pizza and dessert, and they were excellent, with a huge selection of both. I'll be back to try the pasta, especially the gnocco fritto (gluten-free, what a dream!). Various pizza doughs are available. Reservations are recommended. Prices are average, considering the gluten-free surcharge. Well done, well done!

Ristorante Vecchia Riva

06/05/2026: Top hotel in a prime location right on Lake Varese. Super friendly and accommodating staff. Rooms always fresh and clean. The view from the second floor on the lake side is stunning. Dining in the restaurant is also a treat. If I ever come back to Varese, I'll definitely stay there again.
