30/09/2025: I don't know how many times I've been to Barbesina over the years, through my work. I've photographed many weddings, baptisms, and parties, and I know the place very well. Surrounded by nature, with a staff that I'd say is nothing short of exceptional. Helpful, kind, and top-notch, as was the food.

13/01/2026: A beautiful place, with a lovely view of the vineyards, well-prepared cuisine, even the business lunch menu, for only 15 euros, is truly delicious with a good selection. Very friendly and professional staff.

06/03/2026: I had the seafood appetizer, the charcuterie board, the carbonara, the fried fish, the wine, the desserts... everything was excellent!! Well done!! The staff was always friendly and helpful, the atmosphere was clean, tidy, and quiet. Prices were reasonable. I really enjoyed my stay. The parking lot was a bit small, but we found the place anyway. We'll be back!

This elegant agriturismo, with elegant furnishings in several rooms offering complete privacy, is part of the architectural complex of the Ruino church, a stone masterpiece from the second half of the 18th century. High-quality cuisine is naturally rooted in the local area, with the venison, sourced from local game and prepared by the owner himself, standing out. The excellent cellar features the finest wines from the Oltrepò Pavese and an excellent selection from other regions of Lombardy, Piedmont (from the Langhe), South Tyrol, and Veneto. Accommodation is available in 5-star rooms. The Oltrepò Pavese must revitalize these splendid locations and remain connected to the itineraries of the 4PROVINCES, considering the paltry support from the Lombardy region and the province of Pavia.

22/10/2025: Had dinner with friends, a place I already knew. I noticed: very slow service, which can happen on a Saturday night; the food remains good, but the portions are smaller than last year; the prices, however, have increased. It's probably aimed at a Milanese clientele, but we're behind the rectory in Ruino, not on the Navigli or Isola district, and overall, in my opinion, it's not enough to achieve similar value for money. It's worth it in any case if you love game.
