It's right in front of the Varenna Pier.
It's delicious, cheap, has a great atmosphere, and is super friendly.
05/01/2026: We went in October 2025, after a nice lakeside stroll.
Quick, pleasant sandwich. Friendly service, a bit long wait, even though it wasn't crowded. The coffee was decent, the sandwich was better.
Right prices.

02/01/2026: This was one of the best meals my wife and I had on our trip to Lake Como. It’s a little further up the road from town, so a bit of a walk but there are some public paid parking available nearby. Every part of our dinner was great, both food and drink. Hospitality/service was great. We called ahead for a reservation and were able to eat outside. Would highly recommend this place, it’s worth it if you are in Varenna/Perledo area.

02/11/2025: The service and location were good, the dishes in the kitchen could be improved, with more flavour and less spices. The cold cuts appetizer arrived covered in oil from the onions (1) and artichokes (1) placed on top of the cold cuts. For 18 euros I would have expected something better. The bottle of water at 4 euros a litre is definitely not a bargain. It's a shame, it wouldn't take much to be a good place to return to.

04/11/2025: I could have bought frozen lamb from a random supermarket and it would have tasted better than what they served. For the price they charge, it’s frankly a ripoff. What made the experience even worse was the staff’s attitude: the waiter insisted, in a rather bossy tone, that we pay one single bill, even though each of us was charged a service fee. You either apply a service fee per table or allow separate bills. You can’t have it both ways. Having lived in Italy for years, I can say I’ve rarely had such an unpleasant dining experience.

02/01/2026: Ate dinner here with my wife while staying in Varenna/Perledo. Everything we ordered was amazing. The homemade lasagna was excellent! Very nice atmosphere and it’s a little tucked away from the main/busier area. There are actually two different levels of dining and we were lucky that they were able to accommodate us. It was really hard not coming back to this place but we opted to try on subsequent days to explore different restaurants. For my wife, this was her favorite place. Would highly recommend to anyone staying in the area!
27/10/2025: Disappointed by this restaurant. I chose it based on the good reviews, but compared to everything I've tried in Varenna, I felt like I was in a tourist trap.
The cheese tasting (€18) was really not up to scratch: limited portions, little honey or jam, and stale bread to accompany it all.
The wine was decent, and fortunately, the friendly service helped raise the bill a bit.

For hours at night, there was a loud argument that kept flaring up in the hotel, which the staff failed to resolve despite guest complaints.
Also, due to the literally astronomical price-performance ratio: Never again!
13/10/2025: Gorgeous hotel with amazing views. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The two young ladies I dealt with at the concierge desk were a great help. A short ten minute walk from the train station and 5 to the ferry

28/12/2025: The ice cream is good, and that’s the highlight. The service itself is polite, but we noticed the staff often seemed frustrated because many customers don’t realize that you need to pay first and then order the ice cream. This process isn’t very clear. Moving the cashier closer to the entrance or placing a more visible ‘pay first’ sign could really help; most customers naturally focus on the ice cream display, so the current sign above the freezer is easy to miss. We didn’t experience any bad treatment, but the frustration was noticeable. A small adjustment like this could improve the experience for both customers and staff.

17/10/2025: Incredibly nice and professional staff. Comfortable and spacious classic room. Loved that the Cipressi Gardens came with the room, as well as little touches throughout the stay (prosecco, candy). Wonderful!

The Christmas lights at dusk are charming.
The restaurants are lovely!
The only downside is the price, which in my opinion is excessive! Still, it's worth a visit.
02/01/2026: A visit to the beautiful garden. It's a shame that some parts were closed without us being informed at the entrance.
A very pleasant tea room with pastries and an outdoor view of the lake.

24/10/2025: We had a beautiful evening here. My seafood SCIALATIELLI dish was so flavoursome and the salmon with pistachios was delicious. Out waiter was very efficient friendly and professional. Thank you for a memorable evening.

12/10/2025: We sat for a coffe and sweet desert. The view was wonderful at the afternoon. The cheesecake was horrible, stale. The spoon for the capuccino was dirty and reused. The cappuccino had something like crumbs . I woudnt recomend the place except for the view
