Olivedo Lido In Varenna

We arrived at Olivedo with our family of 7 children; several tables were immediately pushed together and space was cleared. We sat outside, but after half an hour we were told that it was going to rain and a spot was arranged for us inside. The storm picked up quickly, but all the staff rushed to move everything and everyone inside. Honestly, I have never seen so much hospitality as at Olivedo. The children received free ice cream to calm their nerves, and we ate delicious pizzas. My compliments to everyone who works at Olivedo. I have rarely seen so much hospitality. Thank you for everything!

We tried the "private beach" option, which offered a great view of the lake. However, it was quite expensive for the quality of service… 40 euros for two sun loungers and a parasol, but the real problem is the lack of proper access to the lake, which isn't equipped for swimming. However, it is possible to bring your own towel for 5 euros per person, a very reasonable price.

A very nice location; we were lucky because, despite it being a very hot Saturday, the beach still had sun loungers and umbrellas, allowing us to relax in complete tranquility. The staff was truly kind, helpful, and always attentive to our needs. We had both an aperitif and lunch, both served directly to our seats. The only negative was the food: it was well-presented, but the quality wasn't convincing. The bread seemed stale, as did the pretzels and chips. I hope this was just an isolated incident, because the location is worth it, and I would gladly return, especially to give the cuisine a second chance.

Beautiful location, right on the lake. Rather expensive for Italian standards.

Difficulty finding parking, but then you can relax with a cool drink at the Lido.

We had a wonderful day with the restaurant team! They were quick and lovely (an extra star for Sally and Alex (sorry for misspelling their names 😐)). We 100% recommend them!
