Albergo Del Sole In Varenna

Very good we stayed for one night and the service was good.

We ordered the meat and cheese platter to share to start and it could've been enough for 4 people easily! There was so much meat - different types, and some gorgeous cheese, we almost didn't have room for mains. Luckily we did, as the salmon with pistachio crust was very good as was the lasagne. There's no view of the lake here, but don't let that put you off if you want good value, tasty food.

Ideally located near train station and ferries. Small rooms but we had a nice balcony. Helpful staff.

Selbst in der zweiten Septemberhälfte war hier abends am Platz mit den 3 Kirchen noch reger Betrieb, was wohl auch der Grund ist, dass die Kellner vor lauter Durcheinander überfordert scheinen und man schon aufpassen muss, dass sich nicht andere Gäste vordrängeln, um einen freien Tisch auf der kleinenTerrasse zu ergattern. Wir bestellten nur einfache Gerichte - einen gemischten Salat, Lasagne und Tagliatelle alla bolognese, da ist man dann mit EUR 35.- dabei, inkl. des Gedecks zu jeweils EUR 2.50, jedoch noch ohne Getränke. In jeder Hinsicht nichts Besonderes, aber auch nicht wirklich schlecht. Empfehlen würde ich es nicht, lieber um die Ecke in einer der kleinen Gassen nach etwas Stilvollerem Ausschau halten!

W pokoju przydałby się mały remont ale czysto super lokalizacja i jak na tą okolicę bardzo dobra cena. Śniadanie bardzo smaczne, ogromny wybór. Polecam!

No nos alojamos allí, pero agradecer enormemente a la señorita de recepción que nos ayudó a buscar un taller para arreglar nuestro coche de alquiler, tuvimos el percance el día 28 de septiembre sobre las 19,00 horas, lo arreglamos en ese taller y muy bien, repito, muchas gracias a esa empleada.
