A truely outstanding restaurant with local cuisine. We asked the owner to decide on our food, including wine pairing. Each course of the menu has been excellent! Thank you for one of the best restaurant experiences this year - I will come back for sure!

Wonderful restaurant - I understand why it’s recommended in the Michelin guide. We really enjoyed our meal and the wine. The restaurant is walkable from Varenna, the stroll back along the lake finished the evening nicely :)

I've lived on Lake Como for 23 years, and nowhere else does an atmosphere quite match. The food and wines are mind-blowing. And if I say so, you know it's true! Congratulations!

A lovely restaurant just past Varenna. Walkable from the city. We loved the menu. Everything was fabulous and the house wines were excellent. Delicious.

We were staying in Fiumelatte so this fabulous restaurant became our ‘local’. It’s a refreshing break from the crowds in nearby Varenna. The food is really interesting and well presented and there is an extensive wine list. You must have two courses - they have different price combinations which are really clear on the menu. The staff were so welcoming and take care to ensure taxis are ordered for those who have come a little further than we did. Over the time our group worked its way through much of the menu which was well prepared and presented. Leave room for dessert!!

03/08/2026: Coming back from Switzerland we stopped for a quick dinner, my wife and I, 1 slice of steak for two, very good
28/07/2026: Good old-fashioned food, prepared as it should be. Generous portions, just like in the old days. The location is rustic, but that doesn't hurt. When I'm in the area, I prefer it to all the other restaurants.

29/04/2026: Dear guests, we opted for the set menu. The prices were reasonable.
09/04/2026: A paradise of flavors at an unbeatable price! A fantastic experience! We took advantage of the convenient jeep service that took us from the village directly to the refuge and brought us back down at the end of the day. The staff was incredibly kind; we immediately felt at home. The food? 10 stars! We started with perfect pizzoccheri, then continued with ribs, goat, and stew, all accompanied by truly amazing polenta uncia. We finished on a high note with an excellent selection of local cheeses and a mix of homemade cakes that were out of this world. All for just €20 per person (plus €10 for jeep transportation). Unbeatable value for money. Highly recommended, we'll definitely be back!
