We can honestly say this was the best meal we had around lake Como, and this is a true hidden gem. The food was absolutely delicious, and the couple that have owned and ran the place since the 1970’s were really helpful and kind. Spectacular views and a lovely atmosphere. I would recommend this place wholeheartedly, and can say if we are anywhere within driving distance we would definitely come again. If I could give this place 6 out of 5 I would.

Another top-rated restaurant on Lake Como. We were so enchanted that we returned the next day. Delicious food, friendly service, beautiful decor, and that view. I highly recommend this place.

We couldn't find parking in Varenna around lunchtime because everything was completely full, so we ended up stopping here instead, and it turned out to be a great choice. Parking wasn't the easiest, with limited street parking along a narrow road, but it was manageable. The food was good, though the real highlight was the beautiful lake view and the lovely atmosphere. A very scenic spot to enjoy a meal.

30/05/2026: The quality of the products is top-notch, the dough is excellent, and the toppings are generous. The price/quality ratio is average; you're paying for the pizza chef's expertise and the quality of the products. It's absolutely worth every penny. One of the best pizzerias in the area. Reservations are recommended if you want to eat in, as there are limited seats. TOP CONGRATULATIONS!

Ristorante Crotto del Capraio

20/07/2026: Mediocre food. I didn't like it at all. The bland service isn't the original Valtellina style. Parmigiana was too heavy with cheese. Snails were acceptable with polenta, which was good. The apple pie was made with raw dough. The price was a bit too high for the quality of the product.
19/07/2026: We had lunch today at Crotto, a truly relaxing spot surrounded by nature, within walking distance with nearby parking. The appetizers, pizzoccheri, and tagliatelle with wild boar ragù were excellent. Fair prices, friendly service!
