14/11/2025: Simply presented family run restaurant that has the best home made tiramisu I’ve tasted in the world. Lovely staff and the Pizza is also well worth dropping in for.
05/11/2025: Stopped in for the first time, and we really ate really well, the service was excellent, the staff were really kind and the waitress was very nice and friendly, I recommend it, parking for trucks is no problem, I will be back on occasion.

18/11/2025: A sadly outdated hotel, otherwise in a beautiful location, but with a mass-production feel.
For hours at night, there was a loud argument that kept flaring up in the hotel, which the staff failed to resolve despite guest complaints.
Also, due to the literally astronomical price-performance ratio: Never again!

16/10/2025: My wife and I visited Varenna on our honeymoon and were fortunate enough to find this gem. The shuttle service (a tuk tuk) with the hospitality of blankets is something we will never forget. The staff were very kind and attentive. The food was amazing. Overall great experience!

22/11/2025: Terrible service, the staff on the right told me I can only try ONE flavour when I ordered a double scoop cone. She was very rude to me. The other staff on the left let my friends and other customers try two to three flavours. This is unfair and unacceptable. Mind you, I came in winter November when there was no queue at all.

27/10/2025: Disappointed by this restaurant. I chose it based on the good reviews, but compared to everything I've tried in Varenna, I felt like I was in a tourist trap.
The cheese tasting (€18) was really not up to scratch: limited portions, little honey or jam, and stale bread to accompany it all.
The wine was decent, and fortunately, the friendly service helped raise the bill a bit.
27/10/2025: Very disappointed with this restaurant, as I'd seen good reviews and tempting photos. However, the pasta I ordered was really not great, and the cheese platter was very disappointing. We were seated upstairs, a bit forgotten.
However, the servers were friendly and cheerful.

04/11/2025: I could have bought frozen lamb from a random supermarket and it would have tasted better than what they served. For the price they charge, it’s frankly a ripoff. What made the experience even worse was the staff’s attitude: the waiter insisted, in a rather bossy tone, that we pay one single bill, even though each of us was charged a service fee. You either apply a service fee per table or allow separate bills. You can’t have it both ways. Having lived in Italy for years, I can say I’ve rarely had such an unpleasant dining experience.
31/10/2025: We loved this little restaurant where we had dinner. The welcome was very friendly. The appetizers and assortment of breads and breadsticks were a nice touch. The dishes were very good. I would have liked a bit more fish with the orecchiette, though. Remember to book ahead, as the restaurant is quite small when the weather isn't suitable for dining on the terrace.

Both the pizzas and the Mexican food are excellent.
I would recommend it to anyone, not without reason; I've been going to Teglia for several years.

05/10/2025: Lunch at this agriturismo is a truly memorable experience. As soon as you arrive, you're transported back in time. Welcomed by Mattia in a warm, family-friendly atmosphere, you begin by sampling the appetizers of mixed cured meats with sweet and sour onions... a sensory journey I recommend to everyone.
Then move on to the first courses, which I recommend trying every single one.
Last but not least, the meat is top-quality!
Desserts and coffee (if available) are a must!
All washed down with a good red wine from the Langhe.
Eating is a necessity, enjoying is an art! Mattia's cooking excites and inspires you to enjoy food.

08/09/2025: The place is beautiful, a symbol of Barzio since forever. But this time I have to leave a somewhat negative review.
Unfortunately, not much attention was paid to one of my guests' allergies, and they served food that wasn't suitable for his needs, despite our express request. It's a shame because on other occasions,
we've always had excellent service and food quality.

29/11/2025: Obviously, you can choose to pay €22 for a sandwich and chips; I did, and I'm not complaining. However, you should be able to choose whether to eat it in a warm place or not, and perhaps not find yourself halfway through dinner with cold food on your plate. Otherwise, I have nothing else to add.

01/12/2025: A historic restaurant on the Bellano lakefront, it has changed hands over the years but has remained true to its style and quality. It's a lovely, down-to-earth place, unpretentious yet welcoming. In the warmer months, it has a pleasant covered terrace. The unpretentious cuisine is good, and the prices are reasonable.
16/11/2025: Everything was excellent, there were 40 of us, and we were all served in a perfect 1/2 hour.
Good pizza, everything perfect, highly recommended.

03/12/2025: It saved me a Friday night, when it was the only restaurant open in the area. Excellent value!! Abundant food. Both Chinese and Italian cuisine! Easy to reach by car. I recommend it if you're hungry. All the food was delicious.
