We tried 12 different types of risotto, all excellent.
Rustic atmosphere. Very friendly staff.

19/01/2026: Antica Risotteria is one of those restaurants that are increasingly rare to find: intimate, welcoming, and not at all cluttered. As soon as you enter, you immediately breathe in the atmosphere of times gone by, that of Brianza from days gone by: exposed brick walls, solid wood tables and chairs, checked tablecloths. Everything contributes to making you feel like you've been catapulted back in time.
From a place like this, you expect home-cooked, healthy, and authentic cuisine... and your expectations are amply met. The staff is very courteous and attentive, without ever being intrusive.
There's so much to say about the food, but I'll limit myself to the essentials: A risotto that makes you understand why this place is special. The meat is also exceptional: the pork cheek literally melts in your mouth.
The portions are generous (thankfully!). In other restaurants, you often finish the risotto with a desire for more... not here; you leave fully satisfied, and at worst, if there's anything left, you take it home.
Compliments to all the staff: I will definitely be back.

23/12/2025: I went for pizza on Sunday evening. I wanted to go because this summer there was an event at the farm in Triuggio with some local pizzerias. For the occasion, I tried a delicious pizza that wasn't even on the menu.
The table service was unprofessional; two of the items I ordered were sold out. These are the details that make the difference.

06/11/2025: Intimate place for dining in. It's certainly a bit crowded because they do mostly takeout, but unless you have extreme needs, it's a great place to dine in. The tables are a bit small, but the staff is friendly and the service impeccable. Excellent value. Top-quality ingredients. I discovered it by chance, and I'll be going back often.

The restaurants are lovely!
The only downside is the price, which in my opinion is excessive! Still, it's worth a visit.

04/12/2025: For her birthday, my wife decided to stay a night at Maso Zambo. We'd already tried last year, but there was no room. We started with the spa, reserved for the two of us, with a Finnish sauna alternating with an outdoor walk barefoot in the snow. This was followed by a fantastic dinner, of which I vividly remember the taste of the salmon trout eggs cracking in my mouth. Finally, in the morning, after a delicious breakfast, we had a restorative massage. We were pampered during these 24 hours of pure well-being. Finally, Stefano took us out of the fairytale by taking us back to our car at the top of the road, and we were enchanted!
02/11/2025: As per the property's slogan, keep it a secret! Maso Zambo is a hidden gem in Valsassina, a small property with meticulous attention to detail, where everything is genuine and authentic, starting with Stefano, the owner.
There are only two simple rooms, each with a very comfortable bed and a beautiful view of the hills. Dinner is tasty, intimate, and features produce from the garden. Breakfast is simple and healthy, perhaps one of the aspects the Maso could improve.
The highlight is undoubtedly the spa, which Stefano is an expert on. A clean, relaxing environment, with a splendid sauna and hot/cold showers. Massages and scrubs can also be added.
The price is certainly high, but I find it in line with the offerings. If you're looking for peace and relaxation, Maso Zambo is for you.

18/12/2025: Despite the rain and fog that ruined the view and magnificent scenery, this hotel/restaurant was a very pleasant surprise. The room, dinner, and breakfast were impeccable. The welcome was warm and the staff were friendly and professional. I won't go into detail, but I highly recommend stopping by. We'll be back as soon as possible. Hats off!
