10/03/2026: We arrived yesterday at 2:00 PM, expecting to have lunch as usual, because Google says the kitchen is open until 2:15 PM. However, the staff told us the kitchen was already closed and that we could only order pizza. We were quite disappointed because we had driven there specifically to eat from the kitchen menu. If the kitchen closes before the stated time, it would be appropriate to clearly indicate this on Google, so people don't make the trip unnecessarily expecting service that isn't actually available.

05/04/2026: We arrived without a reservation, and a table was quickly prepared for us. There's a huge selection of different pizzas, and they taste very good. Excellent value for money. Since it was very busy, you always had to wait a bit before you could order more drinks.

27/12/2025: The Santa Rita Refuge is located at approximately 2,000 meters above sea level, at the Bocchetta della Cazza, which separates the Biandino and Varrone Valleys. Its panoramic location offers a close-up view of Pizzo Tre Signori, making it one of the most picturesque and popular refuges in the Lecco area. The structure has been renovated and now offers approximately 25 beds and a dining room seating approximately 60, with the option of dining outside on the terrace on nice days. The refuge is equipped with amenities such as hot water, electric lighting, a bar, and a restaurant, and offers traditional dishes and local products. It can only be reached on foot via various scenic trails: one of the most classic starts from the Biandino or Varrone Valleys and can take several hours to hike, depending on the chosen route. The hike is highly appreciated by experienced hikers for the beauty of the views and the connection with the mountain. Many reviews describe the refuge as a welcoming and scenic spot, appreciated for its cuisine and hospitality, although—as often happens with mountain refuges—experiences may vary depending on management and current conditions. The Santa Rita Refuge is an ideal destination for those who love hiking and want to enjoy a memorable natural setting at high altitude.

15/09/2025: A comfortable and welcoming family-run retreat. Excellent traditional local cuisine, especially the delicious homemade desserts. The view of the Biandino and Valvarrone valleys is priceless.

29/03/2026: The restaurant is beautiful both inside and out. It has a large private parking lot, which is extremely convenient, given that finding a parking spot in Montevecchia is like winning the lottery! The kitchen doesn't offer a wide selection of dishes. For example, among the first courses, there are various risottos and a single pasta selection. However, this doesn't detract from the deliciousness and quality of the dishes, which are very refined and beautifully presented. For dessert, we only tried the tiramisu, which is freshly prepared at the table. The mascarpone cream not used in the tiramisu is left at the table to be enjoyed with a spoon or in your coffee. The service is also commendable: everyone is very kind and friendly.

25/03/2026: I've been there several times, both for lunch and dinner, and the food has always been divine. A wonderful place located on a panoramic hill, offering a well-kept garden with tables in the summer and a splendid veranda with glass windows in the winter. The fireplace in one of the dining rooms creates a relaxing atmosphere for long conversations, and the rooms are carefully designed to allow you to enjoy all the tranquility this splendid location offers. The owner is very friendly and always attentive to every detail. Highly recommended.
