Locanda Milano 1873 In Brunate

We had lunch at the restaurant. The staff was friendly. When they found out we were celebrating a birthday, they went out of their way to welcome us with a song and sparkling wine. 🔝

Great location with stunning views and opportunities for dog walks. The staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating. The hotel is charming and has potential for improvement. The rooms are a bit small, but adequate if you're mostly out and about. Everything is a little dated, but perfectly fine. The breakfast is typical Italian fare, which we loved, but might be a bit challenging for serious breakfast eaters. Unfortunately, everything in the area is a bit pricey. Como, Milan, and other cities are easily accessible by public transport or car.

I discovered a great place in Como – Locanda Milano 🍝 Authentic Italian atmosphere, quiet and very pleasant, exactly as you would expect from a traditional restaurant. I tried the seafood pasta – absolutely delicious, fresh and full of flavor 🦐🦑 The star, however, was the ossobucco risotto, recommended by them – extremely tender, well-cooked and with a sauce that stays in your mind 🤌 The service was impeccable, the staff attentive and friendly, and their recommendations were really worth it. If you end up in Como, it is well worth a stop here. I recommend it without hesitation! 🇮🇹

Excellent location with immediate access to the funicular and the wonderful views of lake Como. Owner and staff are super friendly and made us feel at home.Basically a great *** hotel with charm ,good food and somewhere we as a family will return to next time in como.

We had dinner at Locanda Milano (my husband, I, and our 10-year-old son) and had a wonderful time! The food was delicious, the location was lovely and well-maintained (we dined outside, and the garden is inviting), and the staff were incredibly friendly. The restaurant manager is a wonderful and extremely helpful person: my husband realized at the last minute that he'd ordered the wrong dish (he wanted polenta and sausage, but made a mistake and ordered polenta and porcini mushrooms), and the manager immediately agreed to modify the dish (which was already prepared in the kitchen) by adding the sausage to the polenta and mushrooms (and, I emphasize, WITHOUT CHANGING THE PRICE OF THE DISH). Furthermore, at the end of the dinner, we were offered their homemade amaro... delicious! The manager was also very kind to our child: he introduced him to his son, and they started playing together after dinner. The hotel is family-run, beautifully situated, and the staff are very friendly and always helpful. We felt very comfortable here.

About the food: I dont recommend spaghetti frutti di mare. Tomato sauce was good and nicely seasoned, making the dish initially quite promising. Unfortunately, the experience was spoiled by the way the shrimp were prepared. The presence of uncleaned, fully intact digestive tracts was very unappetizing and completely took away the enjoyment of the meal. This is a detail that should not be overlooked at this standard. In the end, this issue made it impossible for me to finish the dish.
