11/04/2026: New owners – sadly, so much has been lost. We used to love eating here on vacation and lingering longer, even with our children. Unfortunately, we were disappointed this time. The pizzas are tasty, but the service is unfriendly, almost disinterested (no eye contact, just "okay," no "Enjoy your meal," no asking if we liked it…) and increasingly made us feel like we were bothering them throughout the evening. Other guests were treated the same way: as if we were all a nuisance. An Italian couple even left early. What a shame!

02/05/2026: The staff isn't limited to a lack of professionalism; they actively practice rudeness that ultimately insults the guest's dignity. It's paradoxical how an aesthetically pleasing place can be stripped of all its beauty by the presence of individuals so devoid of respect and grace. They enjoy a view they had no part in creating, using it as a shield for their own incompetence. The service is terrible, an unprecedented lack of respect that transforms a moment of relaxation into an exercise in forced tolerance. They have committed the original sin of hospitality: tainting the beauty of the setting with the ugliness of their soul. Recommending it would mean becoming complicit in a system that rewards arrogance and rudeness. It's an empty shell, an aesthetic trap that hides an abysmal poverty of spirit. Avoid this place, if only out of respect for yourselves.

29/04/2026: Restaurant with outdoor seating on the promenade. Service geared towards tourists. Shady spot with a direct view of the lake, sheltered by trees. Unfortunately, no pasta dishes.

23/03/2026: We had a room with a balcony overlooking the lake. The room was clean, and the view from the hotel was amazing. You could enjoy your breakfast and dinner surrounded by a beautiful landscape. The food was good, and the service was excellent as well. There was nothing to complain about. My three-year-old child was even sad at the end because he didn’t want to leave.🤗 A very nice Family mange the Hotel thank you for your hospitality and patience 😊

05/03/2026: Excellent restaurant-osteria. The menu is compact but varied and well-defined. The dishes were carefully prepared and beautifully served. It was an excellent accompaniment to a beautiful, long, and delicious evening with friends.

25/02/2026: I wasn't particularly satisfied with the food: I ordered gnocchi with bitto cheese and butter. The butter was too much, and the gnocchi floated to the bottom.

04/05/2026: In mid-April, after a roughly three-hour train journey, we arrived at Como San Giovanni station and, with our rolling suitcases, set off towards the old town, where our hotel was located, navigating potholed sidewalks and bumpy cobblestones. Thirsty and craving a little refreshment, the shady terrace of the Krudo restaurant seemed like a godsend: fresh air, plenty of space for our luggage – just what we needed for this moment of arrival. We shared a portion of avocado bruschetta with a refreshing Crodino and mineral water. The service was exceptionally friendly and attentive, making us feel instantly welcome. Both the drinks and the food were to our liking, although we would have preferred a bit more seasoning and a little less balsamic vinegar on the bruschetta. So there we sat, content and a little relieved to have finally arrived in Como – delighted with this first, uncomplicated place that had given us such a warm welcome.

03/05/2026: The cocktails were great, the staff was friendly and very welcoming. The food was delicious and we didn’t need to wait long. We even went back after out boat tour for a second round of drinks.

23/01/2026: The restaurant looked unassuming from the outside and inside. However, upon entering, we were pleasantly surprised. A homely, family atmosphere was palpable. A smiling waiter invited us to a table and patiently waited while we placed our final order – it was difficult to decide, as the menu had so many dishes. Ultimately, we opted for the classic carbonara and gnocchi with vegetables. These were the best dishes we had at any restaurant on Lake Como during our week-long trip. The limoncello at the bar was also decent. The only thing that tempted us to visit this place was its opening hours, which didn't change during siesta – all the recommended restaurants were closed. Luckily, we found it and didn't rely on the reviews, which are definitely unfounded… If you're looking for a secluded place with delicious food (especially), we wholeheartedly recommend it!

10/01/2026: We had coffee after walking up to the Volta Lighthouse via the funicular. A nice hot chocolate or a beer for some, and then we were ready to walk back down and take the funicular again. The view of Lake Como from the restaurant or the terrace is splendid. The service was friendly.

04/05/2026: A simple restaurant with a breathtaking view of the lake. The selection of products is varied and of good quality, catering to all needs, including celiac disease. The staff is excellent and friendly, always available for requests. The area is also great for relaxing with a swim or a game of beach volleyball. It's also suitable for those arriving by boat, with the option of mooring at the pier in front.

04/03/2026: Prices are too high for the size of the portions and the service. The location is beautiful, in the piazza overlooking the lake. The flavors are good, but the portions are too small. €89 for lunch includes an appetizer and two main courses, a bottle of water, and a glass of wine.

28/02/2026: Nice location, good food, very high prices. We recommend sitting outside whenever possible.

29/03/2026: We stopped by chance, very late, and Yuri greeted us with a smile. We had pizza, crispy and tasty. The place is well-kept and has original wooden tables (he made them). I absolutely recommend stopping by! Thank you, Yuri, for your kindness.

15/03/2026: And today again, the girl who takes our orders over the phone got our order wrong. It's the umpteenth time, but she says everyone else makes mistakes anyway, and she won't tell anyone she got the order wrong.

04/01/2026: Dropped in after a wonderful walk up to Baggio. A well deserved treat. Delicious food and a great fire going. Highly recommend but you will need cash.

13/11/2025: A few years ago both pizzoccheri and polenta oncia were more seasoned and tasty. Too bad.

11/10/2025: 5-star luxury? At Uncle Pippo's Shack Osteria, these things don't happen. €52 for two drinks, and we were served an aperitif with this spoon. I was both indignant and disgusted at the same time. It's out of the question to find these things in a place that claims to be 5-star luxury. On the verge of calling the NAS, I left with €50 less and feeling nauseous, because I realized afterwards that the spoon was dirty, even though I was using it at the beginning!!! DON'T GO THERE.

30/03/2026: The pastry shop is located across from Lake Como. We had a proper Italian coffee and the pastries were all exquisite. The owners provided excellent service and the view was unique.
