03/09/2024: The food was absolutely delicious. I had a wrap and it was very well filled and a lovely blend of flavours. On top of this the seating is in a lovely area with a water fountain and a balcony. However, the service was mediocre. The server didn't seem like they wanted to be there and spent most of the time chatting to friends on another table instead of attending to customers. She wasn't very friendly in greeting or in taking our order either. It did also seem a little bit expensive considering it was only a sandwich. However, We did go inside to pay and there was someone else inside who I presume was the owner who was very lovely and smiley, and again the food and location was brilliant.

30/07/2024: We had the pleasure of stopping during our motorbike ride towards the Balcony of Italy for a quick lunch. We choose two salads (…One because the portions are generous) Excellent salads with very tasty products and the choice of organic oil and vinegar. Due to a small mix-up we received special treatment from the owner who we thanked again maaa... it was almost too special. We will be back for sure and soon!

09/06/2024: we came last night with the class to eat for €25 per person and they gave us a pizza of our choice to eat... to drink some bottles of hot coke among other things and then a slice of cake which honestly they could do even better in terms of quality. Once upon a time the food was really much better and whoever manages it now has lost a lot on quality.

21/07/2024: Since our last visit in 2022, the bar has obviously been spruced up in 2024 and now looks more attractive. We haven't eaten here yet but at least the food at the neighboring tables looked good. Remarkable: we only ordered drinks but received a large selection of free snacks. I've never seen anything like that 😳

01/09/2024: The guys work well, except that the last time I was there, the organization was a bit poor, instead of bringing us food, they asked me if I want to drink, I understand that it works like that, the more you consume to drink, the more convenient it is, but one wants also eat. I can't say anything about the service of the boys, they were all good.

25/08/2024: Spettacolare la posizione e soprattutto l’autenticità del luogo. Gente semplice e cordiale, come raramente si trova. Matteo e la mamma ci hanno raccontato la storia del Crotto, che posseggono da parecchie generazioni. È stato bellissimo pranzare in terrazza, ma soprattutto, gustare una cucina fatta molto bene con prodotti tipici. Da provare!

23/08/2024: Si sa, da quando il lago è invaso dai turisti mangiare in riva o nelle vicinanze e’ diventato caro dappertutto ma una volta al Crotto Val Durino sapevi di mangiare come tradizione comanda a prezzi onesti. Non è ahimè più così e ormai mangiare qui o in altro ristorante del lago poco cambia. Tutto buono eh, sia chiaro, ma prezzo totalmente spropositato.

11/06/2024: Historic place for Como. Pleasant business lunch. Convenient for the location and away from the hubbub of other places in the centre. UPDATE: LOCATION PERMANENTLY CLOSED at the end of 2023.

14/04/2024: A real nightmare, on the site they talk about home-made Lombard cuisine, on the site there is all sorts of goodies, then there are three sauces, amatriciana, pesto and ragù. . what is Lombard? Then the sauce put on the cooked pasta. .the worst place ever
