22/08/2024: I was there this morning for a coffee and a croissant so far so good I sat down the girl tells me I'll be right there.... in the meantime I wait and time passes when I see the girl I've been waiting for for too many kids now taking the orders of others people who have just sat down so I understand that they are not interested in my order. I get the urge for coffee and brice and I'm leaving....

12/08/2024: Con mia moglie ho avuto il piacere di cenarvi durante il primo weekend di luglio. Preventivamente, al pomeriggio, avevo prenotato telefonicamente. È da quasi quindici anni che frequentiamo due/tre volte all'anno il ristorante. Abbiamo cenato nell'incantevole giardino attiguo all'edificio principale. Per quanto riguarda la carta dei vini mi sembra scontato parlarne, data l'eccellenza e la qualità indiscussa. Questa volta abbiamo optato per Lugana Menasasso. In merito al menù abbiamo scelto: Affettato Misto della Cascina, Selezione di Formaggi, Bigoli al Pescato di Lago (per due), Luccio in Salsa Gardesana con polenta (per due),  in chiusura un caffè ed una porzione di panna cotta con zafferano di Pozzolengo e salsa al cioccolato. Complessivamente abbiamo speso circa 130,00 euro. Uniche criticità, i tempi un po’ troppo dilatati del servizio, qualche spina di troppo per il Luccio in salsa e forse il conto un po’ più alto della media. Questi piccoli “peccati” sono ampliamente compensati dall'elevato livello qualitativo delle materie prime e dalla bontà delle portate, dal servizio e dalla splendida location. Comunque è stata una serata da ripetere.

29/07/2024: Una lentezza pazzesca tra antipasto (caprese) e una tagliata di cavallo immaginabile(dura) abbiamo aspettato 1 ora e più....non parliamo del caffè qui il record mondiale 40 minuti di attesa ....pazzesco....naaaa mai più

16/08/2024: Our first night in Sirmione and what a fabulous start to our holiday. Delicious food and the amazing staff were so welcoming and friendly. We will definitely return during our stay.

26/08/2024: We took a bruschetta with tomatoes that had gone bad as well as acid combined with a rotten salad. spaghetti with clams full of sand and rather dry, €18 excessive for the dish it really is. excessive cost of water €5 per bottle, I understand the position but we didn't even have a lake view. not recommended, especially due to the rudeness of the staff when we went to pay who served us rudely by throwing the money on the counter. nothing to say about the waiters but never again.

24/08/2024: Visitando Sirmione ci siamo fermati a mangiare da scaligeri street,vicino al omonimo ristorante. Qui si mangiano piatti veloci e in effetti abbiamo preso 2 pizze e un calzone. Dopo 25 minuti il cameriere molto cortese si scusa ma le pizze sono bruciate,comunque quasi subito arriva la comanda. Il calzone era tuttavia bruciato e mascherato con una abbondante copertura di pomodoro per coprire la bruciatura e anche la Margherita orribile sembrava pane secco,comunque il tutto anche per la fame èstato consumato. Andiamo alla cassa per pagare e oltre alla nostra lamentela ci troviamo un conto un po' fuori misura. Praticamente i prezzi visti sul menù al tavolo non corrispondono a quelli sullo scontrino. Spiego: La Margherita da 8 euro passa a 10 e il calzone (bruciato) passa da 10 euro a 13 l'altra pizza prezzo corretto. Alle nostre rimostranze ci hanno ridato 5 euro di rimborso ma senza giustificare nulla anzi a mio giudizio molto seccati per la perdita di tempo.morale: noi non ci torneremo più e chi ci andrà consiglio di controllare il conto.

01/08/2024: We stopped off for lunch, after a boat ride nearby, on the Lake. When we got the chance to order, our food was out fast from the kitchen and was spot on and tasty. The restaurant is directly on the Lake and it has a roof top seating area which must be lovely at night.

18/08/2024: Something didn't work Pizza to forget and my wife was sick all night Ordered 2 greens which were so full of radicchio (unseasoned, without oil and salt) that you couldn't taste all the other vegetables (like eating a sandwich stuffed with unseasoned radicchio, really terrible) Unfortunately, the Margherita was also mediocre, tomato and mozzarella not very tasty, but what little you could taste had a strange taste for the classic margherita (as well as being dry and without even a drizzle of oil) Too bad the conditions seemed good

06/07/2024: I asked for a Matriciana that had nothing of the Matriciana, I asked for a slice that arrived cold and thinly sliced ​​like cold cuts, the chips were drowned in oil. I absolutely don't recommend it.

28/05/2024: The restaurant is in a lovely setting ,looking out over the lake. We chose this place as it was easily accessible for our friend in a wheelchair however the servers were very abrupt and came across rude. The food was very average. One of the party asked for a green salad and was given a bowl of iceberg lettuce!!!! The French fries were like off cuts of potato peelings with no potato!!! The veal was dry with no offer of a dressing. All in all a very bad experience ….would not recommend and will not return!!!!

28/07/2024: Booked for 7 - Sunday 28/7 outside table as requested. Order without menu and prices but recited by the waitress. Having ordered Pizzoccheri after half an hour we were told that they were finished, we resolved with tagliatelle with mushrooms and wild boar ragù, a wait of an hour, finally the second courses arrived for the other diners after we had said the second courses all together. The worst, while the others are eating, a tagliatelle arrives, then after 15 minutes the other and after that the third (a chef's line prepares them all together distributing the condiments) but there is no sign of a chef in the kitchen, but immediately afterwards they arrive the other seconds while eating the first, a make-do seeing as we were the last table to be served telling them so everything was simpler but not for Corna Rossa apparently. Let's move on to the dessert, two tiramisu, one different from the other even more frozen, returned to the kitchen with all the trappings. The coffee served to some with a sachet of sugar and others without meh!!! The mounted waitress lays the blame on the kitchen and bar... the owner at the cash register At the moment of payment she says a tiramisu I won't take it into account, the answer is of course we haven't eaten it's not possible to present the food like that, having made further disappointments by asking her she doesn't ask how we found it, the owner who claims 😂 that she understands and hesitates to babble excuses shoot out the bill amounting to just over 200 euros (6 first courses three tagliatelle, two casoncelli and a crepella, 6 second courses three morsels of veal with polenta and three morsels of wild boar with polenta, half a liter of loose Cabernet wine, 4 waters, 1 tiramisu) also asking for the 50 cents they were dancing, maybe an I'm sorry or can I offer you a bitter I don't know would have allowed her to recover. In short, the restaurant and the location deserve more careful and customer-friendly management. Score 1 with clear disappointment, the menu must be presented (especially for allergens), the missing dishes must be indicated, the courses must be checked if they correspond to the requests, the service must be taken care of, the customer must always be gratified especially when faced with obvious situations of truthful and objective disappointment encountered by the owners. Good catering is something else.

28/07/2024: Esperienza del tutto insoddisfacente…Tagliere con salumi e formaggi discreto… funghetti sott’olio tolti dal vasetto del discount (in una località di montagna!!!)…Passiamo al top dei top…Ordiniamo due piatti di pizzoccheri (e ci viene detto che era rimasta solo una porzione), optiamo per i casoncelli al burro versato (a detta della cameriera, casoncelli di carne, ma quel ripieno tutto era tranne che carne - era pane e una poltiglia insapore). Costolette con funghi e polenta immangiabili e coniglio arrosto decente…Ordiniamo il dolce e ci viene detto che uno dei due non era più disponibile, in quanto ordinato da una persona a pranzo…PAZZESCO! Arriviamo al conto…Tagliere con salumi e formaggi, due primi, due secondi, una bottiglia di vino rosso della casa (anonimo), due bottiglie di acqua, tre caffè di cui uno con correzione e una cheesecake (chiaramente confezionata): 146 euro!!!!! Chissà perché era l’unico ristorante vuoto di sabato sera a fine Luglio…

25/07/2024: Sorry...that doesn't work at all. No guests, just a table set. The food wasn't good at all. The parmesan on the table had mold spores and the olive oil was an old rancid oil. The cook was sitting at the next table and had his own oil, which was probably better. CONCLUSION....Not recommended at all... PS...PIZZA didn't exist...in a pizzaria🤔

25/07/2024: I don't understand the good reviews here at all. I would have preferred to give zero stars. It wasn't good at all. Order was placed and food was on the table 5 minutes later. How fast was the cook please??? It didn't taste good at all either.

17/08/2024: After looking at restaurant reviews for a long time, I choose Restaurante Essentia and make a reservation. The summary. Disappointment. The location is charming but when we arrived (in the middle of August) they didn't have our reservation and they set up a table for us next to an outdoor drinks bar. The food was the most disappointing. Some of the dishes we ordered: Penne a la Arrabiatta, supposedly the recommended dish of the day, the sauce seemed like a jar. Another dish was the Vitello Tonnato. It was dry, and lastly, some Spaguetti Alle Vongole, the clams had a LOT of dirt, they had not been cleaned. The lasagna was saved. Summary, bad experience, I do not recommend it.

04/08/2024: Occupying a prime spot right at the top end of the peninsula this is very handy if you're visiting the Grotte a vast Roman ruined villa across from the hotel. We had antipasti for lunch which was well above standard fare. The burrata and anchovies was excellent (though I would have loved a few more anchovies!), as was the crudo e melone. Service a little lax and on the pricey side but the location and food outweighed that.

21/06/2024: I have been a fisherman for 16 years and I have fished all over Italy and in many other places and one thing is unacceptable, I have not seen a single fish in the 5 hours I have been here I have not seen anything I advise everyone not to go it is a waste of money and of time because it's a fool's errand the only trout I've seen are the corpses of them on the side of the lake
