The restaurant has a new owner; I inquired about the bad reviews. We were a group of three and found the atmosphere and service to be good. The food was also very tasty. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. We would definitely eat here again. Prices are also quite average for Sirmione.

The food is delicious, the pasta is amazing, but the service is terrible. Mrs. Julietta does us a favor by splitting the bill. It's a disaster.

After a nice walk through Sirmione, where it was quite busy considering the 1000 Miglia will also pass through there in the afternoon, we settled down at Da Mario for lunch. Friendly welcome and the service was quick. Nice cold Peroni and an iced tea. The food wasn't bad, but not what you expect from a pasta in Italy. I had the carbonara, but I wouldn't order it again next time!

I spend many nice evenings there in my holiday. The pizza was very very good, fresh and i loved the (handmade) bottom. The prices were good for Sirmione. The staff was super kind and friendly and I was felt quite comfortable as a solo traveller. Would go there again next time. :)

We enjoyed good food here, the mixed meat kebab was good quality and plenty of tasty meat. My wife had the tagliatelle bolognese - also tasty, they gave us some free pizza slices that were good as well. Pleasant friendly staff.

05/07/2026: How come this place has 2.1 stars is a mystery! Do try their pastas!! We've been in Desenzano for four days and this was the place with best meal we had. We would absolutely come back if it wasn't our last evening there. We did, however, felt a bit rushed even as there were empty tables, which is a bit of a shame as I would give it five stars if not for that :)
19/06/2026: First evening, we were lost and hungry. The atmosphere in this small square was very pleasant. The service was very friendly. We were served by three waiters right away. Water was immediately provided for the dog, and a highchair for our daughter. The food arrived about 10 minutes after we ordered and was hot. The drinks were cold. It's not gourmet food, but you shouldn't expect that. It's more like a fast-food place with a nice outdoor seating area. Our pinsa was delicious. Our daughter's gnocchi pomodoro was less pomodoro-y and a bit overcooked. But she loved it.
