11/02/2025: I have been going to this hotel a stone's throw from the lake for years, I used to go there with my parents and now I'm bringing my family there. A perfect place to build memories. Always friendly owner and impeccable service. I'm trying to contact you to come back again this year but no one is answering. Have you changed your phone number? 16/06/2025: We were back after two years. The view is incomparable. Service was attentive and, despite the small number of guests, a bit overwhelmed by the friendly German customers, but everything was still within reason. The menu is old-school, which is fine for us as tourists. I don't know the needs of the locals, but I didn't see a hint of a daily special. It may have been a slip-up, but my side potatoes were... (no words). Everything else tasted very good, but the love was a little lacking. Since I sent the potatoes back, they weren't on the bill. When I paid, I asked the chef why that was and if he had tried them. He said yes and apologized briefly, but that was it. There were few locals that evening, even though the restaurant is only open Thursday and Sunday evenings, and it was a beautiful day. Why that was, no one knows.

31/05/2025: Like every time, when I return to "Doss" I feel at home. High quality local products, the friendliness and helpfulness of everyone, the dishes prepared with skill and passion will always make me come back here. Forgive me if I don't have photos but when a dish arrives I can't wait to eat. You must try the spaghetti alla chitarra with lake ragù and the beef in oil (it melts in your mouth)!!! And then, what a view!!!

21/06/2025: Great for years! For years, we've been visiting Ristorante Modi with the whole family (three generations!) every time we're in Sirmione. Not only does the food actually keep getting better, even if you'd hardly think that possible, but the staff is also the friendliest in all of Italy. Highly recommended! Plus, the location on the central piazza is a dream, and the proximity to the lake always brings a refreshing breeze.

02/02/2025: Bar molto carino e gestito da una Signora sorridente e gentilissima. Abbiamo mangiato torta e biscotto SENZA GLUTINE e bevuto una strepitosa cioccolata alla nocciola e una buona tisana alla vaniglia. Ambiente accogliente, con tavolini sia all’interno che all’esterno, pulito.

20/05/2025: We slept here for one night, transiting on the highway. I want to tell you that we were very satisfied and delighted. They have parking in the yard, you feel very safe. The reception is large and spacious. Even though it is an older building, it is very nicely restored and everything is very clean. What I noticed as soon as I entered the reception was the smell of freshly washed floors. The reception staff was very, very kind. The spacious room and the bed were very clean. It is indeed old furniture, but it is well maintained. What we liked the most was the bed, which was very comfortable. The pillows were also very good and the bed linen was clean and ironed. I slept very well. What would be negative is if you have a room on the road you can hear the cars, especially since the windows do not isolate noise. And possibly ask for a room facing the yard if you can't sleep. I am also sensitive to sounds, but after I fell asleep I no longer have this problem. We could definitely ask to change our room and it would be resolved, but after we settled in and sat in bed we only heard the sounds of cars. And it didn't bother us. Breakfast is ok. Very good coffee. I recommend this hotel!

24/06/2025: Piadina ok. Maybe a little expensive for what is offered. There were 8 of us, at about 3, empty place. The cashier waited for all my friends to leave to complain to me about the fact that the piadina wrappers had been left on the table. The bin is on the outside terrace and not very visible, nothing in the place suggests that it is the customer who has to clear the table and we would have responded calmly and positively to an explicit request made when the piadinas were delivered or before leaving. I found it a useless complaint, not very polite, rude and decidedly passive aggressive. I don't think I'll return

07/11/2024: I have to say the food was really delicious. They were very polite. The coffee was also very good, I can't forget the taste. I definitely recommend it. It is also a very suitable place for family. The portions were large. It was an advantage that we could order in German.

26/03/2025: Ristorante, top, a pochi passi dal lago D'Iseo, Accogliente, il cibo gustosissimo è poi puoi scegliere fra tanti tipi di vino, di ALTO LIVELLO, Atmosfera fantastica, ti senti coccolato dal proprietario e da tutto lo staff, molto professionale.

03/06/2025: We had really delicious pizzas sitting outdoors on this amazing square with wonderful views to the duomo vecchio and the other buildings. Service was excellent and very friendly. Recommendation!

02/07/2025: Cesar Salad (17€) was bad, pizza lido (13€) was good. Toilet was not clean. The small water is cheaper per liter ;)

06/04/2025: Good cappuccino and croissants. The sulky lady who serves doesn't even look at you, she's really not suited to the service. Unlike the gentleman at the cash register who is kind and polite.

20/04/2025: In occasione della Pasqua siamo andati in questo ristorante per pranzo. Il personale è molto gentile ed il pesce cucinato è molto fresco. Sicuramente ci torneremo anche per provare le loro pizze.

17/06/2025: The happy hour special was quite good 😉 Unfortunately, the pasta dish was very dry and very small, which was ridiculous for €13 + €2 for the coperto. Tables are crammed together. The view was nice.

15/06/2025: I chose this place thinking it was a good pizzeria, in reality I ate a disgusting pizza, watery and with a very thin dough so much so that you can't even cut it. Not only was the food not good, but also the staff was very rude. There was no one at the restaurant (and they shouldn't have closed because it has continuous hours as it says) literally at the last bite of pizza of the boy who was with me they ran to collect the plate immediately. I was still eating and due to a health problem I can't eat quickly, the Indian girl immediately came over to collect the plate I told her I haven't finished yet and she left. The other Egyptian waiter dressed in black immediately came over and asked me if I'm finished I told him no, he collected the plate and left. The Indian girl told him I was still eating he pretended nothing had happened and left. All this in less than an hour! I could understand if I had been sitting there for a long time (even if disrespectful ways are always unacceptable). Also my friend heard them say in Arabic now I'll kill you, guys you are not very smart you know that the person in front of you understands your language! But what do I expect from you if while sitting I heard your owner say out loud saying that if the customer tells you that this is not a toast tell him that it is from our house if you want the classic one you can make it at home! It is obvious that the employees will then behave rudely and impolitely! Even there if you have speeches like that these briefings are done in the kitchen between you not in the room in front of people! You are really not professional at all! I wanted to stay for dessert and coffee but they also made me lose my desire, I just wanted to leave. Maybe they don't care about customers since they rely more on tourists passing by as in our case, but in the end you lose your reputation and surely even if you are the last ones open I will not stop by your place again. I wanted to tell what happened so no one falls into the trap. And maybe reading my comment you will start to do some math and try to improve.
