I celebrated my wedding there, and all the guests were thrilled to rediscover the old flavors! Mrs. Lucia is a warm person, very helpful, and an exceptional cook! She cooks with love and dedication, respecting the tastes and authenticity of the food, all handmade.

11/10/2025: What can I say? The casoncelli at Barbariga are always exceptional. A classic trattoria in the lower Brescia area where eating is an insane pleasure. We had appetizers, two pairs of casoncelli, including the pumpkin ones, which were truly magnificent. Finally, the beef in olive oil was delicious. Excellent selection of wines and spirits, too. Definitely worth returning.

13/11/2025: 🍷 Trattoria Il Ghiottone – Authentic Brescian Cuisine, Like It Used to Be Trattoria Il Ghiottone is a typical Brescian family-run restaurant, a bit dated but always clean and tidy, with that authentic, old-fashioned atmosphere. The dishes are truly exquisite: the tagliatelle with mushrooms and the risottos made by Mamma are fantastic, absolutely worth trying at least once! The casoncelli are also excellent, especially the ones with pumpkin and amaretto. The portions are generous and the prices are more than fair. The menu is still dictated verbally, as they used to be—a detail that makes the experience even more authentic. The service is friendly and familiar, making you feel truly at home. I've been there several times, and each time it's a guaranteed success. Highly recommended! 🍽️

29/10/2025: We had one of the best pasta dishes ever here! The pasta is homemade and absolutely delicious. We highly recommend this trattoria! We even went out of our way just to have the tagliatelle ai funghi again.

18/09/2025: Pasta with radicchio and salted ricotta (the quantity pictured), a quarter of a glass of white wine on tap, and bread and a cover charge. Lunchtime, €18.50. The dessert menu is interesting.

15/10/2025: Excellent hotel. The carpet is everywhere, soft underfoot. The key card to open the room door is left on the wall inside the room, with a small blue light that stays on all night. There was no hot chocolate for breakfast.

The service and ingredients are truly TOP, reasonable prices, suitable for families and children and business lunches, convenient parking, highly recommended.

22/06/2025: Tonight June 22nd I had dinner with my family at the castle I booked during the week the lady having no reservations for tonight did it anyway the service was impeccable and the food was excellent! She could have called and not have us come and instead we had the whole restaurant to ourselves (there were 3 of us) great professionalism I recommend it and I will return on more occasions thanks

05/10/2025: What a beautiful place! I’ve never seen such a charming flower shop before. There is a bistro in the same building. Lovely coffee, pastries and cakes, outstanding deco topped with smiley and friendly staff. We ended up going there few times a day. No doubt our favorite place for a coffee stop.

29/09/2025: A truly breathtaking venue: a renovated former train station, nestled between Lake Iseo and the Franciacorta vineyards. An elegant concept encompassing a flower boutique, a confectionery shop, a café-bar, and a bistro. The postcard-perfect atmosphere is perfect for an aperitif, brunch, or simply a relaxing break in a special place. It's a bit pricey compared to a regular café, and the selection of snacks isn't extensive, but the ambiance, atmosphere, and service make for an absolutely delightful experience.

17/11/2025: I returned to this trattoria after several years; the interior was pleasant, including the lighting. Everything else was disappointing (except for the casoncelli): pasta with truffles that lacked the slightest hint of truffle and was of questionable flavor, and a €15 main course that was nothing more than a piece of cauliflower with a sauce on top and a few hazelnuts (the name of the dish was misleading and suggested something completely different). No, paying €15 for a dish like that was unacceptable! Desserts were average. Perhaps it would be better to remain more humble, avoiding copying dishes and recipes of a completely different caliber to lure the poor tourist. Better then the old trattoria, where the menu gave a clear idea of ​​what was coming. Poor service, poor value for money.
