We were a group of eight friends, and each of us chose different options from the menu: the gourmet experience or the à la carte menu, and we were all satisfied. Very much so. The service was prompt, friendly, and perfectly timed. The quality/price ratio was excellent and well-balanced. The atmosphere was charming. We will definitely be back.

20/03/2026: We stopped in for a quick lunch. Among the various options, we chose the veal with tuna sauce, which was incredibly delicate and melt-in-the-mouth, accompanied by mixed cooked vegetables. It was an excellent experience. The ladies who run the business were extremely kind and friendly. If I were to return to the area, I would definitely return. I highly recommend their fresh pasta.

22/03/2026: New management, same style. A historic restaurant offering good-quality traditional dishes in a friendly atmosphere. The cutlet is excellent! The wine selection is good, especially local ones. Friendly and helpful staff.

16/03/2026: Management of La Grotta has moved to Il Frate: well done! They've brought their excellent cuisine and attentive, helpful service to Via Musei. The dishes are always perfect: authentic, traditional, and unpretentious. A true osteria where quality and kindness are the order of the day!

18/03/2026: The Risorgimento restaurant in Sirmione no longer exists. It has changed ownership and its name. Now, that place is a tourist restaurant like so many others.

08/12/2025: Mediocre experience. Every year, at different times of the year or on different occasions, I spend a weekend in Sirmione and try two or three different restaurants. It's the first time I've been dissatisfied! Not all the waiters treated us the same way (and smiled), and as a result, not all of them made us feel comfortable. There was a misunderstanding regarding pasta for four little girls... Of course, it can happen. But the difference is made by those who are honest from the start and who don't want to rip off tourists. Two stars for the food. If I were to return, I wouldn't choose it. And if I were to recommend it, unfortunately, I wouldn't. It's true that, being a tourist destination, they might not care about customer service because they work regardless... but, I mean, it's still a matter of taking advantage of the profits and advertising. Ten of us (including four little girls) still left ours.

17/02/2026: We tried this place on Valentine's Day. We were two couples. We sat down (with a reservation) in this truly welcoming, all-wood restaurant. The waiters and food were excellent, no doubt about it. If you want to try typical dishes and local wines, you've come to the right place!
