18/07/2025: In a quiet spot at the foot of the mountains, you'll find an elegant atmosphere with many unique dishes, each one unique in flavor and carefully crafted pairings of local ingredients. The wines are also excellent. The service is attentive, and the staff at the tables are knowledgeable about the ingredients in each dish. They are also very attentive to any requests from guests with allergies or intolerances. Truly excellent!

06/09/2025: During our family vacation trip, we stopped for some excellent ice cream. It was artisanal gelato, absolutely delicious, with fair prices and indoor seating. The Frutti Di Bosco Gelato was outstanding, and the affogato was excellent as well!

06/08/2025: A must-see if you're passing through Salò. A warm welcome and generous sandwiches offer excellent value for money. We also recommend stopping here for a coffee, as it's the house specialty. Also very good are elderflower, bergamot, and lemon tea drinks.

22/07/2025: Worth a try if you're in the area... But... I've called several times to make a reservation and it's always full... congratulations... I saw some fish dishes (I think Catalan) that were really beautifully presented! My experience: -The first courses were very good, tasty and plentiful (Donkey stew, shrimp, and zucchini) -Second courses: Ni (Grilled sea bass, grilled prawns, tuna steak) -Desserts: Apple pie, could be improved I would have appreciated a wine list (at least to know what they have available and how much they cost) rather than just verbal and very generic information. Price: I didn't find the right balance between price and MY experience.

01/07/2025: If food is important to you, then you must try this trattoria. The portions are generous but also well-cooked. The sliced beef is special, but the rest is also remarkable. The atmosphere is dated but suitable for lunch breaks and dinners with friends. The quality/price ratio is excellent. The staff is professional and courteous, and the owners are friendly.

06/09/2025: It practically supplies the entire area with bread. The bread is excellent, as are all the other baked goods. In a very central location, perfect for aperitifs or breakfast... wonderful staff.

20/07/2025: We stopped for an aperitif. We ordered four Hugo sandwiches and appetizers, two piadinas, and a cheese and charcuterie board. Everything was delicious. The four of us spent €64.00. Fair price.

10/08/2025: I went yesterday for both lunch and dinner (which is a precursor to this review). I had two meat dishes (picanha and fillet), both truly excellent and well-cooked (specify if you want a specific level of doneness; I didn't specify and was happy with the medium-rare they arrived). The inside can get noisy, but I don't see it as a problem given the location; the outside is quieter. The prices are fair for the quality, and the service is attentive and friendly. I'll be back again; if you're in the area, you should definitely check them out; if you're not, you could still pop in and then stroll around the town center.

20/08/2025: La Tortuga is hospitality at its finest. Orietta is a perfect host, her mother is a superlatively good chef and her daughter is a very professional waitress. From the moment you arrive at the jewel like space you feel enveloped by a sense of love and care that extends to all aspects of the experience. The food is very refined and they have a great wine selection. I would especially recomend the linguine with fish ragu and the zabaglione, both of which were memorable. Expensive but great value. I recomend booking well in advance.

30/08/2025: It's the second time visiting this place while on holiday. It's a nice and friendly atmosphere with fast service. There's a wide variety of food on the menu especially the pizza section. The pizzas seem very popular with most visiting this restaurant. The size of the pizzas is very large with a thin and crispy dough. The tiramisu was light and fluffy. A pleasant dinner indeed. And a booking is recommended 🙂

21/07/2025: The experience was definitely below expectations, especially considering the reviews. The raw fish platter was paltry, banal, and not at all worth the price: nothing different from what you'd find at an all-you-can-eat restaurant. The starters were decent, but lacked any real flair. The bread—which in other contexts at least provides nourishment—was left there, abandoned on the table the entire time, untouched or changed. The air conditioning being off practically forced us outside, where we were plagued by mosquitoes until a customer—not the staff—requested bug spray. In general, it's clear that they're very self-righteous here, but this belief doesn't translate into anything concrete. Among fish restaurants, it's among the most expensive, but the quality and substance are nowhere near as high as the price. Something isn't working as it should, and the gap between appearance and reality is evident. Response to Corte del Mago: I'm sorry to read such a defensive and dismissive response, because my review wasn't meant to offend, but simply to report a real experience, objectively. I don't frequent all-you-can-eat restaurants, but I've been there and—like it or not—I found raw fish very similar to what I found at your restaurant, unfortunately, at a price that's significantly higher. The point is precisely this: for the same price (or even lower), there are restaurants in Brescia that offer fish menus with superior quality, service, and hospitality. To cite just a few examples: Eden, Labirinto, Officina del Mare, I Mori... A visit to one of these establishments could be useful, if only to compare yourself and assess whether the experience offered truly aligns with your chosen positioning. In my opinion, a calm and constructive discussion is worth more than any personal attack. Regards. ANSWER: Forgive me, but I'm torn between answering you or, indeed, letting you continue with this unmotivated tirade. Do I have the right to believe that the dinner wasn't even remotely worth the price? Bear with me, you have truly excellent reviews, with the exception of mine and a few others. I may be an outsider: I haven't fully grasped the quality of the food and service, but I'm firmly convinced that you—at least for my dinner—are far from being overly pretentious. I welcome any success you achieve for you and your business, but I'll give my opinion: the opinion of someone who, as a customer, has experienced a lot and has been disappointed.

27/07/2025: The girls serving need to be more patient when presenting the menu and explaining what's available throughout the day. They're young and will do their part, but with constructive adjustments, you can start to learn and improve. Otherwise, everything is top!
