I casoncelli erano davvero buoni, così come i pizzoccheri, che avevano un ottimo sapore. Tuttavia, sul menù non era indicato che fossero conditi con la panna. Per gusto personale, li avremmo preferiti senza, perché avrebbero esaltato meglio il sapore della salsiccia e dei porcini. Detto questo, la qualità del cibo è ottima e le porzioni abbondanti

23/03/2025: 4 of us looked for a place on a winter Sunday without having booked, but, obviously, given the high turnout that always characterizes this refuge of which many are fond, there were no free tables. However, we rightly adapted to an arrangement on the outside tables, which are not used in winter. The dishes were very good, even if the staff used ways that were not always kind to deal with customers, and we had to wait inside for plates and cutlery to be delivered to us to serve ourselves independently: so far, no problem, if you don't consider that they made us pay for four covers. Among other things, the refuge is certainly not difficult to reach even for the supply of various materials, because it overlooks a road that is almost always clean and passable, which is why I would have expected lower prices.

03/03/2025: I have known the place for some time but for the first time I stopped to eat at the restaurant of the Monte Avaro refuge. I had a wonderful lunch, large portions of excellent quality food. I had a starter for 2 and pasta with ragu. fully satisfied. I praise the staff who, even with a lot of people, offer good service suitable for families and children. I recommend trying the bombardino! Exceptional!

07/03/2025: What can we say about this video jewel of this little temple of good food, Federica's fantastic welcome and wonderful friendliness? Very little, because after you eat at Retrobottega, you can hardly do anything else other than look at the sky enraptured by the good flavor and quantity of fantastic food. I can't even find a dish that I liked more than another, I even managed to eat some things that I never, ever in my life thought I would want to try and yet not only did I taste it, even though it still didn't fit my tastes I can't help but admit that it was good. Thanks to Federica and her fantastic staff for bringing this corner of Salento to Treviglio!

14/03/2025: Truly excellent shank. I would focus more on the seasonality of the vegetables they offer as a side dish since courgettes in February are not exactly the best... :) this is the only reason I don't give the maximum stars! For the rest, very kind staff and quality meat.

08/04/2025: We came to dine at this establishment twice during our stay in Italy, and it was impeccable. Both by the quality of the service, the quality of the dishes, the fresh and homemade products (traditional charcuterie as it is rare to eat) and the very beautiful bottles! You can taste the traditional Cassoncelli with Bergamasca, and it's a bomb! The staff is very pleasant and attentive, we will come back as soon as possible, thank you

07/04/2025: Fantastic experience. We enjoyed a nice evening with friends in this restaurant in the upper town. We ate downstairs, where we were served in perfect time by a very friendly waitress. Excellent appetizer. Very good first courses. I tried a perfectly cooked risotto with iuertis (bruscandoli) on top but the others also appreciated it. The dessert very good. I also had a chat with the owner who is really nice. Advised

04/01/2025: We stayed at the farmhouse one night (booked with smartbox) and had a great time! Very quiet place, wonderful view from the room, directly on the mountains and a wonderful welcome. The rooms and bathroom are very beautiful, we had dinner there, also doing the cheese tasting, and it was all delicious (0 km). The breakfast also offers a lot of choice and satisfied us.
