28/12/2025: Everything is always delicious, and they love their four-legged friends 🐾 A variety of gluten-free and lactose-free ice cream flavors, all delicious too. The team is truly welcoming, and nothing is left to chance. You can tell they put their heart into every process! 👏

08/03/2026: The place is very nice and clean, always quite crowded. The breakfasts are excellent, as are the aperitif cocktails, as well as an excellent wine selection. I'm not giving it five stars because the aperitif appetizers are a bit sparse and lack imaginative... there's room for improvement.

11/01/2026: BREAKFAST SERVICE REVIEW. I booked their breakfast service this morning to treat myself to a different experience with my family. When I booked, I was given the time the service was available and the time we could access it. We showed up ten minutes early, knowing we might have to wait for the exact time we'd booked. We were greeted by a very rude young lady who couldn't help but tell us that breakfast service was delayed because the hotel guests "had woken up late." When I asked for an approximate wait time, she simply replied that she didn't know anything about it: "Ma'am, after all, it's Sunday for everyone; hotel guests have priority! Didn't they notify you?" No, I wasn't notified. My reservation was accepted, and when the mix-up occurred, I received no welcome or any desire to do anything to fix it, even though I was with my four-month-old son. In my opinion, this isn't what you'd expect from a service open to the public outside the hotel. I recommend better organization and, above all, a different welcome.

09/01/2026: A magical place to stay in beautiful Bergamo, a delightfully unexpected and memorable experience. Tucked above Citta Alta, accessible by funicular or a beautiful scenic walk up or down, the hotel offers amazing views of the town and surrounding mountains. A very short walk above the hotel brings you to the gorgeous panoramic hilltop views from Torre Castello San Vigilio ruins. The rooms were immaculate, the service impeccable and on-sight dining and outdoor garden were unique and inspiring. A wonderful experience.

08/03/2026: We were recommended this pizzeria as a good choice for lunch in Bergamo. They were right. Traditional Italian food of good quality combined with very kind and pleasant service. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and quite attentive. The food is ideal I would say. It has a coperto of 3€ per person. Thank you very much for everything, we highly recommend it ❤️

29/03/2026: Last night, my friends and I dined at Pizzeria Byron and we all left thrilled. As a celiac, I can say I've rarely felt so relaxed and pampered in a restaurant. The menu is vast: an incredible selection of pizzas, all customizable, and what struck me most is that practically every dish on the "regular" menu is also available in a gluten-free version—even the casoncelli! The waiter who looked after us was impeccable: attentive, just the right amount of friendly, and very knowledgeable. As soon as I told them I had celiac disease, they changed my cutlery, brought the bread packaged separately, and my pizza arrived on a dedicated plate. There were six of us, with very different requests, and yet everything arrived at the same time. The wait wasn't long, and in any case, the quality of the dishes more than made up for it. The gluten-free pizza dough was different from anything I'd tried before, but it was truly delicious—and I even devoured the crostone. Last but not least... the desserts. Seeing those masterpieces being passed around the tables around us convinced us to try them, and yes: they're also available in gluten-free versions. Next time I'm in Bergamo, I already know I'll be back!

02/03/2026: The pizza is excellent, the service is fast, and the staff is friendly. The only downside is the desserts, which I didn't find very satisfying. They have lactose-free mozzarella, which unfortunately isn't always a given. The place is small but comfortable, and parking is easy to find in the area.

31/10/2025: Wonderful villa where we attended a wonderful wedding!

25/10/2025: We celebrated our wedding at Villa Canton about a month ago. Since it also serves as a town hall, we chose to hold the civil ceremony there, organized with the help of the wedding planner recommended by the property. The villa is splendid, meticulously maintained, and has a truly magical atmosphere. The property was professional and available throughout the planning process. However, a few aspects left us a little perplexed, which is why our rating isn't fully 5 stars: 1- Seating during the ceremony: Out of approximately 100 guests, we were guaranteed 70 seats, but the photos show there were just over 40. Several guests—including elderly ones—were left standing, which created some discomfort and a sense of a "loss of style" during such an important moment. 2- Fans during the aperitif: During the aperitif, some guests felt hot, and the management independently turned on fans with water mist, informing us only after the event. In the end, we were charged an extra €300 for a service activated for one hour that we had neither requested nor approved. In this context, we would have expected the decision to be up to the couple. 3- Second course: some guests reported that the meat was tough and sinewy. We were unpleasantly shocked to learn that the management attributed this to our choice not to include sauces, which was not true: we had simply requested a gluten-free sauce to include all guests, given the bride's celiac disease. From a venue of this caliber, one would expect greater attention and an appropriate solution for specific dietary needs. Aside from these critical issues, we recognize that the overall organization and management of the day were excellent, and we would like to especially thank Andrea, the restaurant manager, who proved to be discreet, courteous, and always attentive. His professionalism is one of Villa Canton's true strengths. In short, a lovely place and an overall positive experience, with a few aspects that could be improved to make everything truly perfect.

18/03/2026: This is probably one of the coolest and best pubs in Italy. Amazing! The owner and staff are incredibly friendly, and the food is really delicious (my tip: Kill Bill 🍔). I'll be back, 100%!

14/02/2026: A small but quaint place. The menu features typical pub fare like pinsa and burgers, as well as restaurant-style first and second courses. The food is very good and well-prepared, and the beers are craft; you won't find any commercial labels (fortunately). Excellent drafts, but check out the fridge, which is well-stocked with hidden gems. Nice little spot, relaxed atmosphere, and interesting beers. A little out of the way from Lecco, but worth the drive. 🍻
