I discovered Otto Kraus by chance, on a business trip to Genoa and, please, for your own good, don't miss the chance to taste and try this type of approach to burgers. Truly one of the best I've ever tasted. And don't even consider the negative comments, the helpfulness and kindness of the owner are values ​​that are hard to find nowadays, even for those who work in contact with the public.

23/06/2025: I went to buy two fruit cakes for my 30th wedding anniversary. I ordered them two days in advance for delivery on the day of the party on time. They also offered to accompany me to the car because they were afraid I wouldn't be able to carry them both. They weighed about 1.8kg each and were truly exceptional. See photo. The fruit had been chosen methodically, colorful and very carefully. The custard and shortcrust pastry were very very good. If you are looking for a pastry shop in the Arenzano, Cogoleto, Varazze area I recommend these guys who are truly good. I received compliments from all the guests at the party. The place also does coffee bar brioche and the desserts such as the baci di dama that I saw in the window were very attractive. I will return to try them. Congratulations to the efforts of these entrepreneurs. The only small flaw may be the parking which is sometimes not in front of the restaurant but if you continue north-east for another 300 meters there are many parking spaces on the left. 16/07/2025: Siamo stati da Cantiere Goloso a Genova e ne siamo usciti davvero soddisfatti! Un posto perfetto per chi ama i piccoli piaceri golosi, dalla colazione alla merenda. Abbiamo assaggiato diverse cose: pizzette fragranti, davvero ben fatte, con una base soffice ma non pesante e condimenti gustosi. I cookies sono stati una vera sorpresa: morbidi al centro, croccanti ai bordi, ricchi di cioccolato, come fatti in casa. Si sente che usano ingredienti di qualità. L’atmosfera è accogliente e il personale gentile e disponibile. Un locale curato nei dettagli, ideale per una pausa veloce o per prendersi un momento di dolcezza. Se siete in zona e avete voglia di qualcosa di buono, Cantiere Goloso è una tappa che vale la pena fare!

Note that you also have to pay for bread and cover (€5 per person). The meal was good, but not exceptional. The veal escalope is served with half a potato... Not a satisfactory value for money.

06/06/2025: Concordo sul casino assordante e sui lunghi tempi della cucina ma personalmente ho gustato un piatto di spaghetti alle vongole veramente eccellente. Sulla ricevuta del conto mi ha sorpreso leggere una cifra forfettaria per "pranzo concordato" invece che la specifica delle singole portate. Io ho mangiato solo un piatto, una birra e un dolce. Nessun secondo e nessuna frutta. Per il servizio io ho incontrato una cameriera che fefinisco professionale e cortese. Mi piacerebbe tornare a gustare il piatto di spaghetti alle vongole veramente di classe superiore ma solo durante le sere settimanali sabato escluso per la troppa confusione ma sono lecite scelte.

18/05/2025: This is an excellent place if you just want to come to enjoy the setting. The music is very soft, and it’s a perfect place to read a book on your own if you are a solo diner. It’s mainly a Pizzeria but also serve some steak as a side option do not under any circumstance or their own Amaro.Its called Basanotto. It’s basically mix between Limoncello washing up liquid and chemical basil. Absolutely revolting.

14/04/2025: Neapolitan pizza with a high (and chewy) edge and very thin in the center. Not my favorite type of pizza. Excellent ingredients. Medium-high prices. Long waiting times.
