I went today, July 10, 2026, for the first time, I had farinata and meatloaf, to nibble on the train to Savona. The farinata was good, but the meatloaf is out of this world! Many times you buy it and only taste the 'bean' flavor... This is legendary! You can taste the marjoram🤗 Now I'll have to buy it every time I come to Genoa. The girl who served me was very kind, despite the heat, smiling and being nice, not everyone does that. I heard a lady passing by in the street and saying hello and calling her Ania. See you soon, Ania! I'll become a regular customer! Yum yum!

Umberto was so friendly and explained how to make farinata. Everything was delicious! Well done. I'll be back.

Exceptional food prepared in the old tradition, the perfect service very courteous, friendly and attentive in providing cutlery, napkins etc. The place exudes history and highlights the desire and passion of those who do their job well.

I read some reviews that really surprised me. I've known that place since my aunt was there, that is, 70 years ago. Anja is a delightful person. Pleasant, fast, kind, and polite. Seeing her being rude struck me as heretical. The other thing that really made me laugh was hearing people say that Genoese cuisine on Via di Ravecca, at Sciamadda, is betrayed and not made with respect for tradition. I fear she has a very vague understanding of our/my cuisine. I, a true Genoese, with Genoese great-grandparents, categorically disagree. I've tried the restaurants in San Giorgio and Canneto. I can say that the best onion, leek, and chard tart is right here. Highly recommended. For everything. A close-knit and extremely professional couple. The hours are a bit unstable, but in such a chaotic world, do we want to be bothered by a few small delays?

It's a shame that it's often closed without warning or notices on the shutters.
