24/12/2025: We had a very bad experience here. The bread might be okay, but the service was simply catastrophic. The saleswoman who was serving us just started talking to another customer without even acknowledging us. It took what felt like forever before she finally remembered who she was supposed to be serving. Totally unfriendly, simply outrageous. We'll never come back here.

10/05/2026: A historic restaurant on the Arma di Taggia seafront, this beautiful venue features an elegant 1950s/60s atmosphere and impeccable, professional service. The owner is helpful, but old-fashioned (the restaurant doesn't have a website). The food and prices are high, but the dishes are also affordable (e.g., a good "branda" for €19). If you have time, I recommend the tasting menu; a truly interesting culinary journey for less than €100.

08/03/2026: I've been a regular at this restaurant for almost 20 years, and its cuisine has never disappointed. Even today, Giacomo treated us to an unforgettable seafood feast. The dishes, conceived and prepared by his wife, were perfectly paced and punctuated by a selection of appropriate oils. The service was impeccable, as always. Bravo for the Grigio del Friuli! Thank you all… For me, this restaurant is among the great Italian establishments where the ingredients are showcased in their simplicity and transformed into something complex by the hand of an artist…

26/10/2025: Outstanding food and wine experience in Sestri Levante . A top chef knows how to match japanese and italian ingredients and traditions in absolutely exquisite recipes . Well needed wine pairings make it be the One in an otherwise so poor restaurant panorama . A little treasure absolutely to be discovered!

10/06/2026: The food and atmosphere were good but the service was very poor. We asked for the bill on 3 separate occasions begore being given it. Given bread that they charged for without asking and when tipping the waitress, she didn’t say thank you at all. Just completely blanked us and walked away. Service just felt incredibly rude since we arrived.

08/06/2026: Tourist trap. We chose Ristorante Strainer with high expectations and ordered Spaghetti alla Carbonara to try the traditional version of this iconic Italian dish. The food was good and we enjoyed the meal itself. What left a very negative impression, however, was the pricing. It was surprising to discover that a single Spritz and a dessert cost more than the main course. In my view, when drinks or desserts are priced higher than a pasta dish, it raises questions about value for money and pricing transparency. As shown in the bill, the carbonara was reasonably priced, but the cost of the drink and dessert felt excessive. Unfortunately, this overshadowed an otherwise pleasant meal and is the main reason for my low rating. There are many restaurants in Portofino, and I would encourage visitors to check prices carefully before ordering.

09/06/2025: Andato due sere fa con amici che già lo conoscevano per noi era la prima volta e direi che è stata un'ottima scelta.Ambiente carino ed ospitalità al massimo gradimento con un titolare di grande gentilezza come tutto il personale.Iniziato come antipasto con le focaccette farcite secondo i gusti,una vera prelibatezza,cui ho fatto seguito con i rosticcini di polipo che in un'altra recensione erano stati criticati ed invece li ho trovati ottimi,ho chiuso con un sorbetto al chinotto veramente gustoso,il tutto condito da un rosato della casa di Luni veramente all'altezza.Prezzo equo,per cui ovviamente ci torneremo.

30/11/2025: The restaurant is spacious and traditionally furnished, yet somewhat unusual, especially with the wisteria plant creating a romantic vaulted ceiling. The service is impeccable and attentive, the portions generous, the quality truly superb, the meat excellent, and the staff friendly and helpful. If it were possible, I would have given it a 7.

30/11/2025: Unmissable: excellent quality of every dish and wine, generous portions, friendly service. All in a quaint setting. Spectacular head steak. Unforgettable sliced ​​steak with pistachios. Tiramisu worthy of the best home cooking. I can't wait to go back.

18/03/2026: We've always had a great experience. The pizza is delicious, the Recco-style focaccia isn't always up to par, and only double portions are available. The desserts are good, the staff are friendly and welcoming, and the place feels like a family-run business. Prices are perhaps a little above average for a place a bit out of the way. Just be aware that it's always very crowded, especially on holidays and weekends, and it's best to book to be on the safe side. They also have a large, pleasant veranda for the warmer months.

23/10/2025: First time I've had pizza here, I was passing through for work. I had cooked ham, mushrooms, and sausage. Just seeing the preparation made me immediately realize that the pizza chef, the owner, and the lady who makes the pizzas know their stuff! Excellent pizza, thin yet crispy, not overloaded with ingredients but with just the right amount of everything, even the tomato sauce, cooked just right, doesn't leave that raw or acidic taste! The "light" dough doesn't weigh you down like a brick in the stomach. They still use their beloved wood-fired oven! Which gives the pizzas a unique flavor! They were kind, and from the short time I was there, they seemed very friendly. It's a shame I can't return because they really make excellent pizza. But never say never, if I ever get the chance, I'll definitely come back for another pizza and I'd recommend it to EVERYONE!

05/04/2026: We stumbled upon it by chance, and will be delighted to return. We stopped by on a Friday around 6:00 PM, and what can I say... A very pleasant surprise!! A huge selection of gins, truly top-quality! We also found a large buffet, with always hot food and delicious appetizers (special mention for the Venere rice and savory brioche... 10!), so it was more like dinner than an aperitif! The staff were truly friendly and extremely helpful with recommendations (in my case, they were top-notch when it came to recommending different types of gin). We'll definitely be back, highly recommended!

06/01/2026: I'm not used to being so generous with my reviews, but "Ortica" is the restaurant of my dreams: kind and attentive staff, a cutting-edge chef, excellent local ingredients, and a location with a fairytale view. Happy and satisfied, I'll definitely be back soon, even to celebrate my events.

30/11/2025: Lunch at Muinà was a birthday present for my partner, and it was excellent! After the "usual" enormous house appetizer, we decided to try two truly unusual dishes: linguine with sea bream sauce, sun-dried tomatoes, capers, chili pepper, and crunchy baked breadcrumbs. The carefully measured chili pepper gave the dish a special touch, but without overpowering the other flavors! For the main course, the larded shrimp on a gorgonzola cream sauce, another highly unusual combination, but absolutely successful! Two bottles of fruity and pleasant Ligurian Vermentino obviously accounted for almost half of the bill, so the quality/price ratio remains excellent, especially for a restaurant that's been in business for 175 years. Congratulations, and see you next time!
