25/03/2025: Just had breakfast with an amazing pain au chocolat! I always look forward to trips out of town to the French Riviera to eat excellent, typical French pastry puffs, but this morning I discovered that I can easily find them in the center of Arenzano. I will definitely come back to try other proposals, such as the Maritozzi which immediately capture the attention and, unfortunately, are not so popular in Northern patisseries. Congratulations to the young and kind owner

29/12/2024: We stopped by without a reservation at 6pm on Saturday to get some cakes and single portions and we found the whole assortment. The Bavarian cream with berries was very popular and sold out in a very short time. Well made and well presented desserts. I absolutely recommend

13/05/2025: I have loved La Santa since the 90s. A family management and a retro atmosphere make it one of my favorite places. A dinner always with an excellent quality/price ratio and a lunch that if touristy offers the same goodness with an even lower cost. Always recommended...

10/05/2025: Typical restaurant. Menu at 15 euros for lunch and dinner. I recommend booking because the place is not very big. It takes patience because being family run you have to wait a bit. But you're on holiday or you're not in a hurry to spend 1.30, 2 in the company of friends and with generous portions is a must try

03/05/2025: Truly terrible, fried appetizers served cold and tasteless, each dish was based on fish, but the taste was completely covered by mayonnaise or other fried preparations. The only nice thing is the view...everything else is super not recommended.

21/04/2025: Per la prima volta siamo venuti a pranzare in questo ristorante ed è stata una gradevole esperienza. Menù fisso a base di pesce, ottima qualità prezzo, servizio impeccabile con personale gentilissimo e i titolari sempre presenti ma non invadenti. Consigliatissimo anche per la vista spettacolare

17/05/2025: Wonderful place, clean place, kind and attentive staff, high quality raw materials, cooked to perfection, abundant dishes is an understatement, their portions are certainly very generous... Excellent wines and desserts! Excellent value, quality/price, really honest! No negative notes to report. Simply, a place, where you feel at home and where you want to return. I can add, that I chose to take us, my dad, a customer not easy to please, always demanding and critical, had his only favorite restaurant in Casarza Ligure.... from today, HABEMUS RISTORANTE!!! My daughter and I are very nomadic, we know places where we feel good.... but, in fact, Carmelo is truly Unique!!!

04/05/2025: I expected better, and for the prices much better. Too bad. I've eaten similar, tastier dishes at lower prices. Parking non-existent and difficult to find. And don't expect a place with a sea view, you can't see from the place at least if you don't sit at the tables near the window where you can also see the continuous passing of cars. The top staff are kind, friendly and attentive. In my opinion there is a distinction to be made about food, the fish is certainly EXCELLENT to start with, the problem is what it loses when it reaches the table. I tried the prawn cocktail which was excellent and the addition of raspberries was unexpected but spot on. Spaghetti with lobster, let's start with a FABULOUS lobster with a sauce that still gave it respect, shame about the spaghetti which lacked a lot of cooking. Grilled Prawns and Scampi, EXCELLENT raw material, the problem was that they were charred and the grilled vegetables (only courgettes) also only tasted burnt. Tiramisu, well this wasn't...

29/04/2025: Very good restaurant in the center of Genoa, the style and furnishings may not be for everyone but the substance is there both in the dishes (excellent quality and quantity) and in the staff (very attentive and precise in service). Price a little higher than average but absolutely in line with what the place offers

26/04/2025: Un tempo era il mio ristorante preferito di Genova seppur caro...offrivano in attesa diversi pani, buon servizio, il proprietario veniva a consigliarti...sono tornato lo scorso anno dopo davvero molti anni e l'esperienza stata piuttosto negativa : personale di sala poco empatico (tra l'altro a pranzo eravamo solo in pochissimi), proposte strane ed il loro gusto ancora di più causa accostamenti che a mio avviso non c'entravano nulla. Il proprietario ora probabilmente fa il manager avendo negli anni aperto altri locali in città. Prezzo da Michelin ma siamo ben lontani da quel livello!! Con me a chiuso...

29/05/2025: It did not meet my expectations. The typical focaccia was very good, but the other dishes were quite disappointing. The setting is nice but the dishes did not live up to the restaurant's reputation. I personally ordered a tuna that I struggled to eat and deserved to be sent back to the kitchen (which unfortunately, due to my nature, I almost never do, because I don't like to create controversy). A slice practically served raw, which was not cut because it was so hard and with a soft and cold "crust". The other diners found the dishes passable, but certainly not exceptional. I'm sorry because I had heard a lot of good things about it

01/01/2025: Ambiance cosy, service attentionné et surtout une cuisine justement interprétée! Nous avons pris le menu à 65 euros avec 3 plats et un dessert. Mises en bouche de la région succulentes puis crevettes panées, gnocchis aux châtaignes et turbot aux choux frit! Top

08/05/2025: Everything is very good! Very good service, food and price. It is worth going 100 meters from the center to enjoy a delicious aperol with a good meal and a delicious dessert. I recommend the Apple Pai with ice cream!

10/05/2025: Das Essen war super. Eine klare Empfehlung, ich hatte keine Reservierung, bekam einen Tisch draußen. Die Bedienung war sehr nett, alle Gerichte wirklich toll. Probiert es aus!

04/05/2025: I had dinner with my family last night. Worth noting is the great attention paid to my two-year-old daughter, who, in addition to the small portion of pasta, also tasted it from my plate. A glass and smaller cutlery were immediately brought to her to allow her to eat independently, and the lady on duty - the owner of the restaurant - made sure during dinner that everything was always to our liking. Service and courtesy that made every dish even better, from trofie to linguine with swordfish. Highly recommended

04/05/2025: More than sun and moon I would say rice cake or take it in k. Expensive raw pasta and gram heart attack prices for what they cook school canteen sauces maybe worse...then they criticize the Chinese rist??? Shut up, you'll make a better impression

18/05/2025: This is the fourth, but I think it will also be the last time I dine here. Let me start by saying that the food is excellent and the staff is friendly. The wait ruins everything, sometimes really frustrating, perhaps also due to their strange way of taking orders one dish at a time. For a meal of two courses per person plus dessert it took us about two hours. The guys go back and forth but when the place fills up (and you are squeezed between one table and another) a certain disorganization emerges. Also due to the small kitchen you can't expect more, better to arm yourself with a lot of patience. No discounts when it comes to the bill, average prices, good portions.

03/05/2025: Avevamo sentito parlare da almeno 2 anni di Portobello, ma avendo 2 bimbi stavamo aspettando il momento giusto per andarci..ieri sera abbiamo cenato qui in coppia ed e’ stato tutto magnifico! Il general manager, Giovanni davvero molto gentile e attento a tutti i tavoli, insieme al proprietario che non abbiamo avuto l’occasione di conoscere ma che abbiamo visto girare attorno ai tavoli e controllare continuamente il servizio. Siamo stati serviti da Claudia che oltre ad essere stata super cordiale, ci ha spiegato con passione ogni piatto e ci ha accompagnato sempre con il suo dolce sorriso! Grazie perché cenare sulla Baia del Silenzio con musica bassa dí sottofondo che crea un’atmosfera romantica e cibo di qualità non capita tutti i giorni..consigliatissimo il loro piccolo crudo di mare ed i tagliolini al limone, riccio di mare e gallinella sfumata al Vermentino!torneremo sicuramente per altre occasioni!
