01/10/2025: We were refused to eat here when we went inside the restaurant. The lady even scolded my friend on what she was wearing (off shoulder top), very unnecessary. Very bad experience. We just went out of the restaurant, even so, she continued to tell us that it was wrong to enter the restaurant. Hays.

23/08/2025: It's always a shame for me to leave a negative review, especially when the location is truly delightful: small but meticulously maintained and with a pleasant atmosphere. For this very reason, I believe constructive criticism can help both the owners, helping them grow and improve, and future customers, helping them have a more satisfying experience. During our dinner, however, several inconveniences arose that I must point out. As soon as we sat down, we found the placemat dirty, likely not replaced after the previous service. A detail that alone wouldn't have ruined the evening, but unfortunately it was the first in a series of oversights. We ordered a first course to share and two second courses. Unfortunately, the tagliatelle with lamb ragù was so salty that it was difficult to enjoy. The wild boar meatballs, however, arrived cold and partly burned. Finally, the sliced ​​beef: we weren't asked how it was cooked, and, without a proper knife for serving, we were faced with overcooked, very salty, and difficult to cut meat. A real shame, especially since the prices were decidedly high compared to the actual quality of what we were served. I sincerely hope these observations are helpful: the location has potential, but the cuisine and service deserve more attention to live up to expectations.

27/12/2025: We dined at this restaurant with a table reservation. The place is large and welcoming, and the waiters are very kind! The menu can be scanned on your phone. We opted for two appetizers: the sfizio and the whitefish carpaccio; and two first courses: ravioli with truffle and parmesan cream, and shrimp ravioli. Everything was very good and tasty! Highly recommended!

19/08/2025: We went for dinner one evening on the recommendation of our friend Moira. We had a wonderful time, dining al fresco on a large veranda. The fish was incredibly fresh and the portions generous. The fried food was spectacular, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. We'll be back.

06/01/2026: A welcoming and pleasant place, beneath the walls of the Papal Palace. Ample free municipal parking is available. The dishes are beautifully presented and the quality of the ingredients is excellent. Friendly staff and quick service.

11/11/2025: Compared to a few months ago (I think the management and name have changed), there have been many improvements. The prices are fair and the atmosphere is well-kept. I'm not giving it a 5 only because they don't make "simple" sandwiches (a classic ham and mozzarella, for example). Only tramezzini. Overall, a nice place.

01/12/2025: A gluten-free experience, yet full of flavor ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ La Pappa Celiaca 2.0 is a restaurant that offers gluten-free cuisine without compromising on quality and flavor. The atmosphere is modern and welcoming, perfect for those looking for a place to eat without worries but with tasty dishes. The service is attentive and professional. I tried the porcini mushroom risotto and the fresh gluten-free pasta: both dishes were rich in flavor and well-prepared. The main courses, like the grilled chicken, were also tender and tasty. The gluten-free tiramisu was the perfect ending to a satisfying dinner. The prices are reasonable for the quality, considering the attention given to each gluten-free dish. Perfect for those with specific dietary needs who don't want to sacrifice excellent cuisine!

10/11/2025: Awesome cafe that was my main go to for delicious gluten free sandwiches, cakes and other tasty desserts! The staff and owner are incredibly friendly, good people.

15/10/2025: We booked for two nights, but after the first, we fled due to the unbearable smell of mold and dampness that lingered in the room, if you can call it that. Room 9 is a small building nestled in the vegetation, far from the main building. It has a glass entrance covered from the inside by curtains (it feels like sleeping in a shop window!), no bidet, and is very run-down. The owner offered us a room change, but we preferred to leave after finding a room in another hotel in the village. A terrible experience.

03/10/2025: Our stay was okay. Not bad but definitely not what we expected. We stayed two nights (as part of our walk along the Via Francigena) and I would not stay here again. Our room and bed were nice. Dinner was good but not great and it took forever (30+ minutes between 1st and 2nd course) and all our food was warm but not hot. The breakfast had a lot of pastries, store-bought yogurt, some soft apples and not much else - not even eggs or granola (I question the whole zero-kilometer food concept they promote). Overall, we didn’t really feel much warm hospitality- we honestly did not even get a “welcome” when we arrived or a “thank you” when we paid. (Although the young lady who did breakfast was very friendly). If you stay, I would avoid the meal options. As a pilgrim walking the VF, it’s not worth the extra kilometers.

26/02/2026: Historic pastry shop in Viterbo. Sunday lunches as a child always ended with their delicious pastries. And their tea biscuits are divine 😍 Top quality!

21/02/2026: I consider Pasticceria Garibaldi my go-to pastry shop. For years, I've come here from Rome specifically to buy their cookies, croissants, tarts, meringues, panettone, and colomba cakes. This year, since I live there, I chose to have them make my birthday cake, and together we agreed on a semifreddo with a puff pastry base, raspberries, and cocoa. The cake was delicious and had a stunning design. Marco and Moreno are not only world-class in their field, but also welcoming, friendly, kind, and helpful people. The passion they put into their work adds that extra touch to all their creations. The place is delightful, clean, and tidy. Inside, you can enjoy breakfast or a snack comfortably seated. Pasticceria Garibaldi is a guarantee, swear by a blogger!!!

17/10/2025: On our way to Pisa, at the suggestion of friends, we decided to stop in Orte, where they recommended we try their magnificent pinsa. We sat outside, surrounded by a family-friendly and authentic atmosphere. We ordered three pinsa to share among four: one Gricia, one Bufalina, and one half Carbonara and half Provola and Pancetta. Flavorful, to say the least!! The pinsa dough was crispy and flaky, the sauce was creamy and rich. Highly recommended! We'll be back whenever we're in the area.

05/04/2026: I ordered takeout and I'm not satisfied at all. The food tastes like nothing, they forgot the baked potatoes, and the portions are small. Yet I remembered having eaten well there once. What a shame!

22/01/2026: Located just steps from the medieval historic center, this welcoming restaurant serves truly delicious food, especially the first courses. Service was prompt, despite the restaurant being packed. Prices are slightly above average, but I would improve the dining room service, which is a bit too cold.
