The foods are to die for at a Ma and pie price and I just had Real with like a Hunter sauce over mashed potatoes and then I had a salad on the side that was out of this world and before that I had pasta dish that I wish I could get in the states and I’d pay three times the amount that they charge here

26/12/2025: Always a great experience here at Taverna del Tiranno: I've tried it on several occasions, especially for lunch during short trips out of the Sabine-Rieti area (for example, it's just minutes from Farfa Abbey and many other charming little villages worth visiting). Even during this latest offering—a Christmas lunch with family and relatives—Raniero, his partner, and their team proved to be an excellent team in charge of the dining room and kitchen, demonstrating courtesy, simplicity, friendliness, and that touch of rusticity and refinement that distinguishes them. The Christmas tasting menu was incredibly balanced in flavors and portions, allowing us to fully savor each dish and arrive at the coffee shop feeling happy, satisfied, and not weighed down. Kudos to the selection of local ingredients and the extensive and well-rounded wine cellar, offering local and Italian wines (with a few excursions beyond the Alps), with a special focus on small, artisanal and sustainable producers, including labels that will please natural wine lovers. 12/10/2025: Excellent food, top-quality ingredients, EXCELLENT value for money. We spent very little and had a fantastic meal. Considering that we'd also had an aperitif before lunch while we waited, We enjoyed it first by the fireplace, then moved to the stove, while it was raining outside!!! Wonderful atmosphere, it feels like being in Trentino.

08/09/2025: Very good food. The brie, honey, walnut, and grape tart was truly exquisite. We enjoyed eating outside at the tables on the street. I can't comment on the ambiance inside. Speaking to people at nearby tables, I noticed a major complaint about the wait times for their dishes. For us, they were normal. The service was attentive and helpful.

31/07/2025: I'm not reviewing the rooms because we didn't use them, but if I have to talk about the location, the hospitality, the food, I can only give 5 stars.... on a trip from Reggio Calabria to Turin we decided to break up the kilometers and stop halfway.... I didn't know this part of Italy, Sabina, and I have to say that it is truly spectacular.... definitely worth exploring further!!!

15/02/2026: The food is really excellent, it's a shame that we waited 40 minutes before starting to eat, they didn't even bring us bread, the portions are very small, we left spending €60 for 2 plates of pasta, a cutlet and two ice creams. It's a shame... because I repeat... everything we ate was excellent.

17/11/2025: Excellent food, perfect service, and a wonderful atmosphere...all the qualities for a perfect Saturday evening in the company of friends and family. I recommend booking. They offer a variety of menus, both meat and seafood, and a wide selection of pizzas. In my opinion, Peter Pan 2 is the perfect restaurant.
