11/03/2026: My wife and I arrived by motorbike, we stayed for a weekend, the owner Mr. Gianni is a fabulous person, helpful and very kind, excellent food, excellent welcome, all the staff is efficient. Congratulations, we will be back 💯💯✌️

07/02/2026: We stumbled upon it by chance while looking for shelter on a rainy day. We were welcomed with simplicity and kindness, just like at home. We ate the ravioli with ricotta and chard and sampled the meatballs they'd cooked for them. Everything was delicious!

11/04/2026: Truly a beautiful and very quiet place. Dishes are prepared the old-fashioned way, without too many frills. Delicious food, generous portions, and a varied menu to suit all tastes. The owners are friendly and very approachable. Highly recommended for a few quiet hours away from the hustle and bustle. Dining in the garden will definitely be even more pleasant in the summer. We'll definitely be back soon!

A casual yet elegant location, attentive and friendly service, and a varied cuisine with interesting options for both meat-eaters and vegetarians. The cheese selection is excellent, as are the homemade fregnacce. Highly recommended.

26/12/2025: Always a great experience here at Taverna del Tiranno: I've tried it on several occasions, especially for lunch during short trips out of the Sabine-Rieti area (for example, it's just minutes from Farfa Abbey and many other charming little villages worth visiting). Even during this latest offering—a Christmas lunch with family and relatives—Raniero, his partner, and their team proved to be an excellent team in charge of the dining room and kitchen, demonstrating courtesy, simplicity, friendliness, and that touch of rusticity and refinement that distinguishes them. The Christmas tasting menu was incredibly balanced in flavors and portions, allowing us to fully savor each dish and arrive at the coffee shop feeling happy, satisfied, and not weighed down. Kudos to the selection of local ingredients and the extensive and well-rounded wine cellar, offering local and Italian wines (with a few excursions beyond the Alps), with a special focus on small, artisanal and sustainable producers, including labels that will please natural wine lovers. 22/03/2026: Neither good nor bad A family-run local trattoria... a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. The dishes we ordered were good, but I wasn't particularly impressed, considering I know them well from having eaten them elsewhere. I would have even given it an extra star if at the end of the meal, when our plates were collected, they had asked us if we were okay with that, or if we'd ordered dessert or unsweetened coffee... but nothing happened, and over ten minutes went by without anyone coming to the table to ask... they just walked right by without even looking at the table. They would have noticed that we tried to get their attention twice to ask... even verbally. But nothing! What a shame.

22/02/2026: I found all the dishes I liked, and a very pleasant surprise: the exquisite artichoke salad! But the Roman-style tripe and polenta with spare ribs were also very good. I particularly appreciated the cook's sparing use of salt. In short, it's worth trying.

01/03/2026: A Sunday lunch for two, found by chance while searching the area not far from Rome, well, it deserves 5 stars! A genuine place, one of those authentic places where you go to relax and eat locally sourced food! The Sunday menu (from what I understood from talking to other guests who had been there for a few days on a B&B basis) is a fixed menu, €35/person. Today's offering included a mixed appetizer of cured meats, cheeses, vegetable pots, and focaccia. Followed by two starters, the one with marjoram grown on site was noteworthy, and for the main course, a tender pork loin from their own farm with potatoes and chicory. Dessert, coffee, liqueur, and drinks with house wine! In conclusion, a full pass, places like this are becoming rarer and rarer! I'm curious to return on a sunny Sunday; eating outside or on a warm summer evening is wonderful! P.S. I especially recommend it to bikers, both for the road and the internal parking ;-) Thanks to all the staff
