Truly a beautiful and very quiet place. Dishes are prepared the old-fashioned way, without too many frills. Delicious food, generous portions, and a varied menu to suit all tastes. The owners are friendly and very approachable. Highly recommended for a few quiet hours away from the hustle and bustle. Dining in the garden will definitely be even more pleasant in the summer. We'll definitely be back soon!

Traditional cuisine served with great care. Authentic flavors in a warm and welcoming atmosphere with a beautiful view of the valley below. The spicy white meat is worth the trip, as are the scottadito or wild boar stew! Bravo, bravo!

It was recommended to me, and so far so good. We'd been at a small reception at 11:00 a.m., arrived around 1:15 p.m., not feeling particularly hungry. We sat down and ordered. They offered us some specials of the day, and we chose à la carte. So far, so good. Among the dishes we chose were tagliolini with truffle, which was listed at €15.00 on the menu, but one of the specials of the day also included tagliolini with truffle. We had lunch, and everything was fine until the bill came around. To our great surprise, the tagliolini with truffle had been charged at €30.00. We asked why, and were told the truffle was the white one...
We had asked for the tagliolini on the menu, not the ones of the day, for which, incidentally, they hadn't even told us the price.
The owner, who took the order, probably thought it best to bring the more expensive of the two dishes. We, on the other hand, didn't bother with the truffle, so we ended up paying double for a 100g plate of tagliolini.
Now, according to the unwritten rules of a good restaurant, when offering dishes that aren't on the à la carte menu, it's a good idea to include an attachment to the menu to give the customer the opportunity to evaluate. We specified that we wanted the tagliolini with truffle from the menu, so the owner who took the order didn't have much room for error in interpreting the order.
I wonder, does a place like La Foresteria, with a 4.5 rating, need to behave like this?
Be careful, the restaurant relationship is based on trust; that is, customers must be able to trust the restaurant owners in terms of the culinary offerings, the products used, the service and preparation, as well as the quality/price ratio.
If you swap dishes to enjoy a white truffle that's perhaps a little old and aged, that trust is lost, and above all, the customer feels cheated. I personally will never return to that place because the behavior wasn't consistent, not so much because of the offering itself (between us, it's average for the area), but because of the way it happened.
It's important to be consistent; it's not just about selling; I personally prefer to spend my money where I'm not being cheated.

A fantastic place, a breathtaking view... delicious appetizer with typical products, beans with pork rind and coratella (delicious). The "la foresteria" stringozzi is highly recommended for those who like spicy food. Delicious mutton and delicious mushroom stew!! The house red wine was special!! We'll see you again soon. We had lunch there a few days ago. The location is charming, with a lovely garden and a beautiful window overlooking the veranda. The first courses, pork shank, and tiramisu are excellent. Prices range from €35 to €45. The staff is very friendly. Perhaps the service could be speeded up a bit.
