04/08/2025: This wine bar is something special. Time stands still here, and you'll lose yourself in it :) It's not for a quick visit, as the selection is very extensive and the wines are very good. The food is also excellent. The service is friendly and attentive, and knowledgeable about wine. Overall, the bar is always worth a visit.

28/07/2025: Lovely and comfortable place in Trastever, far from all the tourist places full a people queuing for a normal dish of pasta or pizza. This place is original, familiar and the couple managing it are so nice and give you all the recomendations needed for having a good experience. Many wines or cocktails to choose. Thank you so much for the experience.

10/08/2025: I had lunch today with my husband. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We chose the daily menu, and everything was really good. I highly recommend it.

09/08/2025: I was with some friends who, when their dish arrived, had a problem: the menu listed "sea bream and sea bass," but they were only served a fillet. It would be helpful to update the wording to avoid any misunderstandings. The service was courteous and professional; the owner explained that the management is new and still requires some work. However, I believe that reviewing the menu should be a priority to identify and correct any inaccuracies. Although I apologized, nothing was done to resolve the issue. I hope the error is corrected as soon as possible to prevent future misunderstandings.

12/07/2025: En lille og nærværende restaurant, hvor smagen er i højsæde. Samlet ca. 12 pladser. Men helt bestemt værd at vente på. Priserne er også til den helt fornuftige side. Vi gav 101,5€ for 2 starters, 6 hovedretter, 2 glas vin, 4 sodavand og 4 øl. Jeg vil helt anbefale dette sted. Og særligt deres bacon er simpelthen bare turen værd. En smagsoplevelse af de rigtig gode.

05/07/2025: Siamo stati da La Bottega di Cesare in quattro e abbiamo ordinato tutti la carbonara. Buona? Sì. Indimenticabile? No. Una di quelle versioni oneste, ben fatte, che però non ti cambiano la giornata né la mettono in pausa per un “wow”. Il personale? Educato, ma senza guizzi. Nessuna nota stonata, ma nemmeno una melodia che ti resta in testa. La vera nota dolente però è l’organizzazione degli spazi. Il locale è piccolo, e questo di per sé non sarebbe un problema, se non fosse che ci hanno fatto accomodare a un tavolino minuscolo per quattro persone, dove ogni gesto era una coreografia da evitare rovesciamenti. Mangiare schiacciati, gomito contro gomito, senza nemmeno lo spazio per appoggiare bene piatti e bottiglie… no, grazie. Peccato, perché il cibo non era male. Ma l’esperienza, nel complesso, non è qualcosa che consiglierei. Alla fine ti resta più in mente quanto ti sentivi in bilico che il sapore della carbonara.

26/07/2025: My partner and I stumbled upon this restaurant by chance. It looked so good from the outside, we decided to try it. We were pleased; the cured meats appetizer was excellent, as were the amatriciana and tiramisu. The staff was welcoming and very kind. We'll definitely be back.

18/05/2025: Found us a table for 4 at short notice on a Saturday evening. Excellent from start to finish. Quality ingredients, imaginative dishes created by the chef served by his wife. We enjoyed anti pasta de la casa , excellent home made foi gras, tasty pasta dishes including scampi sauce with homemade pasta. The duck main was very tasty. Well selected wines. Very reasonably priced. The restaurant was filled with locals. Always a good sign.

17/05/2025: We stopped at this gourmet restaurant for our last evening in Rome, and we were delighted to discover it. An intimate place away from the background noise. Truly excellent cuisine featuring high-quality ingredients, such as the sea bream carpaccio with hazelnuts and basil oil and the foie gras with onion compote, were mouthwatering. Tender beef fillet served with mashed potatoes, cooked to a desired medium rare, which was perfectly executed. Excellent duck breast with two glasses of dry white wine to round off the evening. Go there with your eyes closed!!! The best restaurant we visited in Rome, far from the tourist traps. Even if the bill isn't cheap, your palate will thank you. Thank you for the welcome and the wonderful, delicious, and peaceful time we spent.

11/08/2025: Good gelato place to visit especially if you are visiting Pantheon as it’s quite close to it! Lots of options available, and it’s good taste too. However giving only 4/5 as staff is very reluctant to give a taste of the flavours. It was our first time at Gunther and we were unaware of their flavours and was difficult to make a decision. There were 4 of us they only allowed to taste 4 flavours before we made a decision. I appreciate that it could be difficult when they have a huge queue or lots of tourists who aren’t actually going to buy anything, however when we visited we were the only ones in the shop and clearly said we would buy ice cream for each of us. That kind of spoiled the experience to be honest. Overall good taste but not the best gelato in Rome for sure. Also the portions are smaller than in many other gelaterias.

17/05/2025: The Mirandolina Inn is an enchanting place immersed in an enchanting landscape, a place with which to get in tune to fully savor its peculiarities: kindness, good taste, poetry, refined flavors offered with love. Mrs. Suzanne is a frank person and an expert and creative cook who knows how to warmly welcome even slightly "oppositional" customers to her inn (guess who I'm referring to, dear Suzanne). Thank you for everything, I hope goodbye and a hug!

28/07/2025: Spontaneous lunch here after a morning at the lake. It looked fancy so we were nervous about being in lake attire. We were welcomed though and seated inside (if you want to sit outside, reserve a table). Our goal was a quick pasta. A nice, appropriate menu plus an outside menu with in season plates. I love it! We ordered pasta. It was perfect. Cooked, flavored, and served beautifully. We also tried the sangria which was amazing, and potato starter. We enjoyed everything. The restaurant is clean and lovely with a great view. The staff was friendly; the owner was active and made a point to chat with every table. We did pay a hefty €80 for lunch but we agreed, it was worth it. We will definitely eat here again and recommend to others.

22/07/2025: On our way to Rome, we made a quick pitstop at a lovely little coffee bar just off the road. It turned out to be one of those unexpected gems that makes traveling through Italy such a pleasure. We ordered two Americanos and shared a pistachio croissant that was buttery, flaky, and just the right amount of sweet. The prices were very reasonable, especially considering the quality and setting. The patio was absolutely adorable—small tables shaded by umbrellas, with views of the quiet street and the picturesque town surrounding us. This charming town was the perfect backdrop for a mid-morning break. The service was warm and friendly, with a relaxed atmosphere that made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. Inside, they boast an impressive selection of pastries, desserts, sandwiches, and even gelato—something for every kind of craving! If you're passing through the area, this spot is well worth a quick detour. Just the kind of place that reminds you to slow down and savor the simple joys of the journey.

03/08/2025: This is my second visit to this restaurant, and the experience is always truly delightful. For our appetizer, we tried the ricotta with flaked black salt, honey, and chopped pistachios, a delicate and surprising combination that perfectly opened the meal. Next, we enjoyed the fettuccine with porcini mushrooms, the fettuccine with wild boar, with a bold and well-balanced flavor, and the strozzapreti with cheese, pepper, and mint, an aromatic and enveloping dish. For our main course, the sliced beef was tender, juicy, and perfectly cooked. All this accompanied by courteous service and a welcoming atmosphere, making this place ideal for both dinner and lunch, as a couple or with friends. A must-try for those who love traditional cuisine and authentic flavors.
