Great little stop off place to grab a drink and snack on your journey.
I think they make their own milk and cheese too.

16/08/2024: Disorganized staff we ate a sandwich with cold cuts and a coke paying 11 euros excessive price for a sandwich with cold cuts the sandwich was excellent but the price and waiting time from when we arrived to when we waited at the checkout were excessive
14/08/2024: Stopping at Varmost at Raul's is like eating with family or a friend from Forno who wants to pamper you in the midst of this stupendous and unique panorama of the Carnic Dolomites: frico, polenta and sausage, gnocchi with venison ragout or melted butter with smoked ricotta, cjarsons and other typical local dishes. Without forgetting the evening pizza with various mountain flavours. A typical moment of relaxation for those staying in Forni di Sopra or a stopover for travelers passing through...... and bon appetit for those who stop by

15/07/2024: Wonderful place, wonderful hosts. We stayed here one night on our way from Austria to Croatia. A place with soul and a unique atmosphere. Multi-generational farm, old farm buildings transformed into a guesthouse. Rooms clean, well-kept, with bathrooms :)
26/06/2024: I've passed there a thousand times and finally stopped to eat the other evening. I thought better. The house wine wasn't that great. The frico was good. The salad with cracklings was soaked in grease. Basically I wouldn't go back. I gave 3 stars for the frico

07/08/2024: I recommend this chicken cut, very good!! Don't expect the usual grilled chicken breast but rather a soft meat resulting from low temperature cooking. If you pass through Forni di sopra, stop at the cella cicchetteria bar, Alice and Roberto will surprise you with local delicacies from morning until evening!

10/08/2024: The owner is very friendly and kind, service is generally excellent, with some excellence. Very well-kept and pleasant-looking location, despite the exposed electrical panel. The food? Very good, I personally tasted everything and couldn't find any faults. The lamb chops are amazing, the steak is a little less so than the other dishes. The white under ice was particularly appreciated. Stayed cool all evening. I would happily stay here again

31/07/2024: It seems that the employees lack the desire to satisfy the customer.
If I were you I would start to get off the pedestal in the meantime, try to smile every now and then and understand that the Ego and being grumpy are two different things.
Every time I made a small request e.g. lukewarm water in drip coffee, was never answered. It's a problem that I only have here, elsewhere they try to satisfy this small request by being, among other things, very simple to put half hot water and half cold water.
Then, we would have to talk about the fact that they charge for the glass of water but I would risk being offensive

07/07/2024: This family run Italian bar possesses all the ingredients for a five point rating, as I pointed out extensively in previous reviews. Friendly and helpful staff, reasonable prices, good coffee and a nice house 'bianco', but the deciding factor is, that the outdoor seating is at the front row in the heart of beautiful, historic Venzone. Tip: go to Venzone in the late afternoon. The coaches with day tourists and the herds of pensioners on their electric bikes will have left by then.
