11/03/2026: Disgusting!!! I stayed a few days ago and found nothing but filth, the rooms aren't cleaned in the morning, bedbugs living in guest rooms, spiders that have built empires of webs all over the room, the stench of animal dung that greets you in the morning (great for those with colds, it opens your nostrils), sheets with an inch of dust, hairs on the floor from other guests, walls that are falling apart, terrible service, poor food, I found a hair in my pasta and a piece of plastic in my cutlet. I hope the NAS comes to do a thorough inspection.

11/03/2026: I stayed at the hotel for two nights and, unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The property appears neglected: the room wasn't particularly clean, with dust on the furniture, and the bathroom could use a more thorough cleaning. The furnishings are also quite dated and poorly maintained. The reception staff wasn't very helpful: they responded hastily and unfriendly to our inquiries. Furthermore, the soundproofing in the rooms is practically non-existent, so noises from the hallway and other rooms can be clearly heard at night. Breakfast, which should be one of the highlights of the stay, was rather poor in both variety and quality. Considering the price, I definitely expected better service. Overall, the experience didn't live up to expectations, and I personally don't think I'd return or recommend it.

24/07/2026: We went to dance salsa and bachata. Everything was pretty good. I just recommend improving the service. It's not possible to put a girl (alone) and not even a very experienced one making cocktails.

19/07/2026: TERRIBLE experience last night, no positive notes to report, we arrived at 8.30pm there were only 5 tables besides ours and yet at 10.30pm they still hadn't brought us anything to eat, we complained, finally the appetizer of gnocco and cold cuts for 7 arrives SOMETHING FROM A POOR MAN'S CANTEEN! 12 pieces of gnocco, 2 platters of cold cuts and 2 of cheeses in truly RIDICULOUS quantities, a slice each of salami or mortadella, then there was only one slice of prosciutto per platter🤣 and I won't even mention the cheeses, tiny pieces of 4 different cheeses, we didn't know whether to laugh or cry given how hungry we were and the ridiculous portions for a very expensive appetizer, on top of that! Anyway, after 11pm we asked for the grilled meats. We received trays of mixed grills to share, with tiny pieces of meat, portions that were not even remotely equivalent to a decent mixed grill platter. Furthermore, they had run out of skewers and they hadn't brought us any beef, only some pork and a bit of dry chicken breast (THE PHOTOS SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES). We sent everything back, and the kind and professional waiter's response was... "SO DON'T EAT ANYMORE NOW!" We refused to pay for that shameful grill, obviously! The bald waiter was incredibly rude, his manners were outrageous, the owner, instead of apologizing, was also very arrogant, the staff were completely incompetent, with only 5 tables they were all tired and clumsy, you could see dishes arriving at the various tables and then taken back, evidently either they were constantly getting the orders wrong or the customers were also unhappy and sent the dishes back! A table next to us who arrived before us only at 11:00 pm and their gnocchi arrived, then, afraid of waiting another 3 hours, they left in a hurry and told us they were very disappointed with the dinner! In the photo you can find a barbecue for 2 people, without beef, for the modest sum of €48, does that look like a €48 dish to you?? In the other photo you will find the XXL COTTOLETTA 🤣🤣🤣🤣 It was nothing more than a miserable CHICKEN BREAST (IN MY HOUSE THE COTTOLETTA IS BEEF NOT CHICKEN) PRACTICALLY OPEN IN HALF TO MAKE IT LOOK BIGGER, I HAVE NO WORDS TO DESCRIBE THIS HORROR! Anyway we went to the cashier to pay for the little we ate.... bill for 7 appetizers (which is equivalent to 3 appetizers x quantity) plus 2 liters of wine and 3 of water, a guancialino and a cutlet for the modest sum of € 170 but taxed for half because the honest lady gave us the receipt for half the amount paid!!! Just one word to conclude SHAME ON YOU!!! I eagerly await the owner's response, which will surely make you understand even better how arrogant and rude she is. What can I say? IT'S UP TO YOU TO DECIDE. However, I really advise you to avoid dealing with certain people!

01/02/2026: Yesterday, January 31, 2026, we experienced the inconvenience of the only usable restroom again. It's very unfortunate to report this, but in a similar circumstance (Modena's patron saint), it would have been necessary and appropriate to provide another restroom, which apparently exists but is out of service. In previous years, we've had better experiences. Perhaps this will be our last. The wait was well over 30 minutes.

24/01/2026: Good coffee. Friendly service. Quite a large selection of pastries and desserts.

30/07/2026: LPG refillable "whenever they want"... For the second time I stopped here, obviously forced, and again they refused to supply LPG.

19/07/2026: Watch out, they try to scam you when getting gas. I tanked for 101.36€ and ‘by accident’ they entered 110.36€ when wanting to pay by card. I felt something was off when he didnt show me the amount on the card device and was hesitant to give me the ticket. Beware!

19/07/2026: Very nice place, new friendly and professional management. Quality breakfast, aperitifs, and dinner. 🔝

04/03/2026: I returned from "Momento 25" with mixed feelings. Let's start with the strong point: the food. The dishes show excellent potential, with well-rounded flavors and quality ingredients that are definitely worth a try. Personally, I'd expand the dessert menu, perhaps by bringing something with my coffee. For example, a simple sbrisolona cake costs €4... considering the number of guests, it's enough for a day. The service was also excellent: the staff were courteous, attentive, and ready to offer advice. Unfortunately, the only downside is the interior. The restaurant is located in a beautiful historic building in the center of Carpi, but the architectural potential seems almost wasted. The decor appears haphazard and inconsistent: between posters on the walls, Lego flowers, black sculptures, and a bookcase, the atmosphere feels a bit confusing and lacks a clear identity. The outdoor space is much more pleasant and well-kept, but unfortunately, it's unusable in the winter. The price is average and fair for the quality of the food.

18/01/2026: Let me start by saying that the only negative thing is the quality-price ratio. In terms of flavor, everything was very good, really! The staff were helpful and friendly, and the atmosphere was welcoming. However, considering the price paid at the end of the meal, I don't think it was exactly right... The portion sizes were really small, a bit too much for a main course, as was the case with my "Open-faced gratin squid with potatoes, mushrooms, and porcini mushroom powder." The selection of chocolate and biscuits was equally... well, quantitatively unsatisfactory. It's a shame, because in other respects, it was truly excellent.

02/11/2025: My family and I used to go there often for lunch before the change in management. We've been twice since, twice to make sure we hadn't, unfortunately, stumbled upon a bad day. The place is nice, but we once again weren't impressed with the quality of the food. The burger was tiny, thin, and dry, for one thing, and the food in general was just plain awful. Plus, the portions were absolutely tiny for the price. It's a shame, because it was a regular spot for us.

08/10/2025: Bad experience. I ordered homemade tortellini in capon broth. They brought supermarket tortellini in stock cube broth (inedible). I ordered tagliatelle with Bolognese sauce (also inedible), runny ragù, and sticky tagliatelle from the supermarket. For my main course, a roulade with tomato sauce and tough green beans (inedible). A quarter of a liter of Lambrusco on tap and a carafe of sparkling water. Cover charge. Total €38.50. Bad experience. Never again!!!

05/02/2026: I wanted to go to breakfast, but the sign outside saying "cash only" made me go elsewhere.

06/11/2025: The signs outside, clearly visible to potential customers (and perhaps even the Guardia di Finanza), are interesting. They read "NO PAYMENT BY POS" and "NO ELECTRONIC PAYMENTS." A quick reminder: offering card payment is a legal requirement, but at Bar Fragola Corta, this concept seems to be happily (probably with impunity) ignored.
