01/01/2026: Very old place, the food isn't very good and you spend a lot

10/11/2025: Vegetarian/vegan options are always available, including a pizza option. Friendly and efficient staff. The bar is on the ground floor, while the cafeteria is on the first floor. Convenient parking is available just steps away.

02/11/2025: My family and I used to go there often for lunch before the change in management. We've been twice since, twice to make sure we hadn't, unfortunately, stumbled upon a bad day. The place is nice, but we once again weren't impressed with the quality of the food. The burger was tiny, thin, and dry, for one thing, and the food in general was just plain awful. Plus, the portions were absolutely tiny for the price. It's a shame, because it was a regular spot for us.

08/10/2025: Bad experience. I ordered homemade tortellini in capon broth. They brought supermarket tortellini in stock cube broth (inedible). I ordered tagliatelle with Bolognese sauce (also inedible), runny ragù, and sticky tagliatelle from the supermarket. For my main course, a roulade with tomato sauce and tough green beans (inedible). A quarter of a liter of Lambrusco on tap and a carafe of sparkling water. Cover charge. Total €38.50. Bad experience. Never again!!!

04/03/2026: I returned from "Momento 25" with mixed feelings. Let's start with the strong point: the food. The dishes show excellent potential, with well-rounded flavors and quality ingredients that are definitely worth a try. Personally, I'd expand the dessert menu, perhaps by bringing something with my coffee. For example, a simple sbrisolona cake costs €4... considering the number of guests, it's enough for a day. The service was also excellent: the staff were courteous, attentive, and ready to offer advice. Unfortunately, the only downside is the interior. The restaurant is located in a beautiful historic building in the center of Carpi, but the architectural potential seems almost wasted. The decor appears haphazard and inconsistent: between posters on the walls, Lego flowers, black sculptures, and a bookcase, the atmosphere feels a bit confusing and lacks a clear identity. The outdoor space is much more pleasant and well-kept, but unfortunately, it's unusable in the winter. The price is average and fair for the quality of the food.

18/01/2026: Let me start by saying that the only negative thing is the quality-price ratio. In terms of flavor, everything was very good, really! The staff were helpful and friendly, and the atmosphere was welcoming. However, considering the price paid at the end of the meal, I don't think it was exactly right... The portion sizes were really small, a bit too much for a main course, as was the case with my "Open-faced gratin squid with potatoes, mushrooms, and porcini mushroom powder." The selection of chocolate and biscuits was equally... well, quantitatively unsatisfactory. It's a shame, because in other respects, it was truly excellent.

01/02/2026: Yesterday, January 31, 2026, we experienced the inconvenience of the only usable restroom again. It's very unfortunate to report this, but in a similar circumstance (Modena's patron saint), it would have been necessary and appropriate to provide another restroom, which apparently exists but is out of service. In previous years, we've had better experiences. Perhaps this will be our last. The wait was well over 30 minutes.

24/01/2026: Good coffee. Friendly service. Quite a large selection of pastries and desserts.

17/02/2026: The atmosphere is very welcoming and inviting, but both the food and service are subpar. I thought the mountainside restaurant was a safe bet, given the quality of the ingredients available, but apparently, this isn't Trattoria del Gallo's priority. A BIG PITY!

13/02/2026: First time we ate very well, very good first courses and excellent quality meat, the girl who served us was very good and very polite, price for 3 with first courses, second courses, desserts and coffee 157 euros, fair... highly recommended... We will be back

01/11/2025: The star for the food isn't accurate because, unfortunately, I couldn't eat the pizza because the pizzeria doesn't have a POS in 2025, or it wasn't working. On a Saturday night? I was very disappointed, even though the aroma was truly inviting.

28/06/2025: Ei fu. Eccomi qui a comunicare la definitiva chiusura di O sole mio... Una stagione che finisce; e purtroppo dopo un lungo declino... È stata per anni la mia pizzeria preferita, quando a Modena giravano solo tristissime pizze sottili. Trovarla, li in periferia, sulla via Emilia est, fu un'illuminazione: "ma quindi anche a Modena si può mangiare la pizza napoletana"!!! Per anni fu la sola pizzeria che amavo frequentare. Poi qualcosa andò storto; dopo il trasferimento nel locale su via Vignolese (pretenzioso} qualcosa non ha più funzionato: tra crocchè acidi e pizze semi-crude ho dovuto pian piano accettare che la storia fosse finita. In più, mentre O sole mio tramontava, in città si moltiplicavano pizze finalmente napoletane e pizzerie con proposte di qualità sicuramente più alta. Ed oggi eccoci qui, con il cartello "affittasi" esposto sulle vetrine del locale. Comunque sia andata a finire, un bel ricordo della mia gioventù. Grazie

22/09/2025: Unfortunately, prices have skyrocketed in the Rita chain's canteens. Spend less and eat better at fixed-menu restaurants.

10/09/2025: Two spritzes for €12 at a Rita's Bar with no service is definitely disgusting and incredibly expensive. Unacceptable. Stay away from Rita's... you're guaranteed a rip-off.

05/02/2026: I wanted to go to breakfast, but the sign outside saying "cash only" made me go elsewhere.

06/11/2025: The signs outside, clearly visible to potential customers (and perhaps even the Guardia di Finanza), are interesting. They read "NO PAYMENT BY POS" and "NO ELECTRONIC PAYMENTS." A quick reminder: offering card payment is a legal requirement, but at Bar Fragola Corta, this concept seems to be happily (probably with impunity) ignored.

26/02/2026: I ate trofie with pesto. Too much salt spoils the flavor.

24/12/2025: Terrible place to eat. The staff doesn't even look you in the eye, they give you time to decide, and above all, they talk trash about their company in front of their customers. Absolutely avoid.

14/02/2026: It's a shame about the place, which would be nice! The prices are outrageous and the service doesn't justify them! I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND.
