09/04/2025: We stopped for a drink. We take a commercial beer of 66. Before the beer we get a small plate with chips and a small plate with appetizers (they put it down without saying anything). To pay they ask us 12 euros. We ask why and they say 6 for beer and 6 appetizers. But we're not there, 6 euros for appetizers that no one asked you for or ate. Things need to be said. They usually ask you: do you want to have the aperitif with a cutting board or without? This is scam. Too bad because the place is nice. Never again

05/04/2025: Terrible place, especially for their pricing policy. I paid 12 euros for a bottle of 66 commercial beer. At 6.00 pm, with 3 chips and two appetizers. But are you normal? That is, a Negroni costs 8.5 euros and a beer more? I don't know what your calculations are...but I'm sure we won't see each other again... Another thing...make a clear menu, with all the prices, not just what you want to sell... Too bad the place would also be nice...but then I realized why it was empty....

05/04/2025: I feel sorry for the businessman who has this team in his restaurant. Horrible service and there was only me and another couple in the restaurant. If you want to get angry, come here. I was going to have lunch, but because of the terrible attitude of the blonde waitress with dry hair, I only ate a cheesecake, which was terrible, not even for the food to be enjoyable. Sad experience, I do not recommend it. Worth 6 euros ever spent This explains why it has 3.5 stars on Google.

02/02/2025: Nonostante la lontananza da Modena ne vale sempre la pena anche nei freddi mesi invernali, un buon piatto abbondante di tortellini fumanti mette subito lo stomaco a posto,tortelloni lewis molto leggeri e per concludere grigliata mista cotta a puntino e di ottima qualità!Alla prossima!

17/11/2024: I want to respond to the owner of the restaurant when we came to eat in that tavern that he calls a restaurant that rude waitress told us that that day as the first there was only the couch grass which was the one she brought to everyone if they wanted there were also the penne with sauce or fusilli, no one gave us the menu, ok, I'll start by saying that the gramigna was also disgusting, not even the one you know how to make, as the capacity of the place that day was around twenty of us and it was squeezed tight I don't know how they manage to fit in 70 people as I wrote below the owner better tell less lies. Then outside the restaurant he has to say that during the week he makes the company menu while on Sundays he makes the top menu with all the goodies because what does someone who comes from outside Montese know? Last thing, I'm a worker too but those rude workers who come to eat there who burped and spoke in a loud voice that you couldn't stand are not part of the working class but rather rude. If you want a poor place, this is it in terms of food, place and service, the first gramigna fusilli or penne with sauce the first mountain people I don't know where they were then you can eat the pasta they serve everywhere and then the place is small so if there are a lot of you it's not good .. The photos of other reviews that say you can eat all sorts of things are not true, maybe they ate in another restaurant, also because we weren't even given a menu so explain to me how we made the choice. Since there are other restaurants in Montese, I recommend opting for one of these

25/01/2025: This restaurant where we stopped some time ago for lunch is really pleasant. Having arrived on site around 1.30pm 🕜 almost by chance (in theory by that time we should have already been in Riolunato), we were cordially welcomed by the girls 👩🏻👧🏼 of the staff who immediately accompanied us to our table. We then started to browse the price lists 📋 noting the good variety of proposals. In the end we opted for a couple of appetizers based on fried polenta (one with gorgonzola filling 🧀, the other with lard 🥓, tortelli with truffle, tortelli with meat sauce, a mixed grill 🥩🍖🍗, a pan-fried egg 🍳, fried potatoes 🍟 and baked ones (which also seemed fried themselves). All very tasty 😋 (the pasta was certainly homemade) and well cooked, despite some oversights (such as a portion of truffle tortelli served instead of those with ragù, in addition to what has already been mentioned above in relation to the side dishes). the kind manager, with whom we also had a chat, offered us a couple of bitters 🥃 at the counter. The atmosphere of the structure is homely and therefore welcoming, characterized by the typical furnishings 70s/80s which nostalgically reminded me of the places of the past. Bathrooms 🚾 clean and tidy 🚽🧻🧴, although a general refresh could help. The parking area 🅿️ 🚘 although not immense, it still seemed adequate to me overall. We had a good time so I RECOMMEND IT 👍.

16/02/2025: I have been a customer of this place for several years, a regular stop for breakfasts and more. Unfortunately, after last night's experience, I will never return. I was in the center with friends and we asked to sit down for an aperitif: six adults and three children (one 2 years old and two 10 months old). We had located a table for six, but the waiter, in an inelegant way, told us that we couldn't sit because the strollers would take up too much space. We weren't even given the opportunity to explain that we could close them: we were dismissed hastily. I find it unacceptable that, in 2025, a place treats customers with children in this way, especially considering that we were six adults ready to consume regularly. Too bad, because the quality is good, but the service is terrible. Not recommended.

30/12/2024: A Modena, durante il pomeriggio ci siamo fermati in questo bar che non conoscevo... Ambiente piacevole e accogliente, due locali di cui uno adibito a American Bar.... Piacevoli immagini di attori famosi alle pareti, titolare molto simpatico e gentile, che con i suoi occhiali 👓 colorati sta facendo tendenza...

01/01/2025: Piccola trattoria di un paesino di montagna sovrastato da un bel campanile posto sulla roccia. Cucina casalinga, alla buona, ma davvero buona e gustosa. Fate conto di tornare indietro nel tempo, quando eravate bambini e vostra nonna cucinava per voi quello che più vi piaceva.

16/03/2025: Nei pressi del mercato coperto Albinelli, questa tigelleria offre abbinamenti per tutti i gusti con vastissima scelta di ingredienti di ottima qualità. Molto gentile il proprietario che fa di tutto per mettere a proprio agio i clienti. Assolutamente da provare!!

12/02/2025: Esta fue una de las mejores experiencias que tuvimos en Módena. El tipo detrás del mostrador es amable, paciente y apasionado por sus productos. Sirven tigella tradicional con cada cobertura bajo el sol! Hay una carpeta con traducción al inglés para todos los ingredientes que tienen, además de sugerencias para combinaciones. La comida era fresca, sabrosa y de buena calidad con los dos pedimos 3 tigellas pequeñas, era la cantidad perfecta. También compartimos una tarta de Modena, y nos enamoramos y terminamos comprando 2 grandes para llevar a casa con nuestros padres. Este es el lugar perfecto para comer si quieres un servicio amable y la oportunidad de probar muchos sabores locales!

25/01/2025: The new management brings a breath of fresh air to the restaurant and the menu. Pizzas disappear to make room for more refined dishes. The tagliatelle with ragù follow tradition and are well executed, but the burgers are the real innovation, try "Er chicory" to believe it. If it is true that it is the defects that make us grow, we should note the tasty but greasy fried gnocco, and the too slow service, however forgiven since it is the reopening day! I'm sure it will be better next time! The play area disappears to leave more space for guests.

25/01/2025: The new management is very knowledgeable, attentive to the customer and the renovated place is very nice. The waiting times were a little long, but as it was the first evening of opening, the food was delicious, both the sandwiches with very special burgers, the first courses and also the desserts, all delicious, highly recommended

09/04/2025: I had wanted to try their cuisine for a long time. The aromas, which I always smelled when walking by, reflected the good cuisine I imagined. A last minute decision, I called at 1:30 pm and they assured me a table for 2. The restaurant was full but the table was ready and waiting for us. We started with a platter of gnocchi, tigelle and cured meats. The cured meats were excellent and the homemade gnocchi were, I presume, delicious. An encore of first courses: Gocce Oca Golosa (with Treviso radicchio, speck and poppy seeds) and Bigoli all'Oca Golosa (with sausage, peppers and onion). The bigoli sauce was too acidic for my taste, but everything was delicious. For the second course, a fillet with green pepper, perfectly cooked medium and the meat as tender as butter. To finish... the desserts! Torta della nonna, with cream and pine nuts and cheesecake with berries and coffee. All too good! Very kind, friendly staff, always smiling despite the two floors that are continuously made to serve customers. Prices a little high, but you pay for the taste 😉

05/04/2025: A place that conveys poor cleanliness, even the waiters are often unorganized and empathetic, the cuisine is not special, gnocco and tigelle are quite good, the angus meat is sometimes very good and sometimes literally to be thrown in the bin, in short there is no standard in which you order the same dish twice and you get the same thing, the prices are moderate. We've been there several times but we won't go back, that's it.
