13/10/2025: Total disappointment: the experience fell far short of expectations. Yesterday, unfortunately, was a completely negative experience. Like every year, we come to Zocca for the chestnut festival, to greet relatives but above all to enjoy the much-loved borlenghi. We booked here, as we have done in the past (always with positive results), but this time it went decidedly badly. The staff is courteous, nothing to complain about in that regard, but everything else really left much to be desired. Final bill: €90 for three people. I spent €30 for a portion of fried mushrooms (which are actually a side dish, shared as an appetizer), two borlenghi, a coffee, and half a mascarpone cheese shared with the table. My mother had a portion of fried mushrooms to share, a portion of gratinated tomatoes (also a side dish), and a single borlenghi, plus a sorbet. My companion had a plate of tagliatelle with ovuli—a tiny portion, the mushroom flavor completely covered by the butter—two borlenghi, a coffee, and a shared mascarpone. A bottle of water and a bottle of Pignoletto. You can see that, besides leaving hungry, it wasn't a €30-a-person lunch at all. As soon as we arrived, we made it clear that we were there primarily for the borlenghi. They asked us to wait, and so far, no complaints: we ordered some side dishes to share while we waited. Too bad that after an hour, only three borlenghi arrived (one each), served several minutes apart. Then nothing else for over 40 minutes. At 3:05 PM, we accidentally noticed a borlengo rejected by another table, now at the cafe, and asked for it to be brought to us, explaining that we were still waiting for ours. At 3:15 PM, the last one—the fifth—arrived, and we were told they were sold out. What can I say? A huge disappointment, surpassed only by the shock of the bill. A real shame, because in the past we'd always left satisfied.

22/08/2025: Very kind staff and a family atmosphere! We had the borlenghi and gnocco fritto, which were fantastic, and the wild boar stew. I recommend it to everyone!! A special thank you to the always smiling owner.

14/03/2026: Frigieri Restaurant is a rarity these days. The owner, in addition to being a 5-star chef and the only staff, does everything himself, impeccably. Menu: Given this premise, you might expect a long wait with a full restaurant; far from it, Matteo Frigieri is the Lone Hero: he manages everything himself (kitchen and dining room) with rare mastery, without making his customers feel the pinch. Quality of Raw Materials: The freshest products purchased daily, a choice that is directly reflected in the flavor of the dishes—a few, but carefully prepared dishes that will surely delight your palate. Atmosphere: A well-kept and welcoming restaurant in the heart of the historic center. Value for Money: The price is fair and absolutely in line with the experience offered. Finding a place in Modena where the service doesn't "limp" even when you're alone is truly rare. These settings often offer an intimacy and dedication that large groups can only dream of. Seeing is believing.

08/02/2026: Nice place, but that's about it. Extremely slow service and tiny portions for the prices. We waited an hour and a half for three dishes of boiled meat and a slice of beef. Never again.

27/12/2025: The dishes were taken away and not faithful to the menu. I didn't like this whole business of carefully grating Parmesan cheese on the starters. Good selection of wines, good desserts. Prompt service and friendly staff.

13/05/2025: Caliente y cansado después de pasear por Módena - y una cata de vinos balsámicos - estábamos desesperados por un poco de almuerzo. Se encontró con este restaurante en la esquina de la Plaza, cerca del Mercado. Fuera, a la sombra, se sentó y tomó un delicioso almuerzo. Una tabla de madera de carnes frías y una maravillosa ensalada con pollo. Redondeado con Macchiato. Buen servicio y baños limpios con agua caliente y secador de manos. 08/03/2026: I found it by chance, but I'll never let it go. The food is good, the dishes are just the right amount, the price isn't excessive, and I'm satisfied.

13/12/2025: A large and spacious venue, suitable for large groups. In the summer, it also has a large outdoor area with a swimming pool. The staff is always smiling and friendly, and the food is truly delicious. All dishes are traditional Emilian dishes, perfectly respected. On our evening, there was also live music, so we danced. Good value for money. Recommended!

18/10/2025: How could I not recommend this place? We stopped by this afternoon, looking for a sandwich, and we weren't disappointed—quite the opposite, in fact. The owners are lovely, and the sandwiches are made with love and quality! If I ever come back to Rome, I'll definitely stop by again 🤩

01/08/2025: Beautiful restaurant on the main road to Carpi, located in a farmhouse, with a family atmosphere. In addition to traditional local products, you'll find fish and pizza, hearty dishes, ample parking, a children's carousel, three floors with an elevator; on the ground floor, a spacious dining room, TV, air conditioning, and a summer garden next door. Excellent table service, and friendly and helpful staff. Average prices.

05/11/2025: Best pizzeria in Soliera for takeout/delivery. It's not the best for eating in, as it's small. The delivery service is impeccable; in the 7-8 years I've been ordering it, they've only been late once. The pizzas are good and super topped; the round ones are better than the half-meter ones.

10/07/2025: I attended a wedding at Martelli's, not my first time there, and as always, the service was impeccable. The kindness of the staff is the heart of the venue. We were served a variety of dishes, considering there were so many of us, and the quality and attention to detail were excellent. There was an open bar by the pool, and with dips, cocktails, and fireworks, the evening ended magnificently, leaving everyone with wonderful memories. If you're getting married, this is definitely a place worth a visit.
