02/07/2026: Decent place near Carpi. Quiet indoors, chaotic outdoors. Service could be improved. The wine list is based on Lambrusco, little else. Dishes are neither good nor bad (the parmesan flan was a bit bland, the tortelli verdi had too much pasta for the filling, the lasagna verde was good, the culatello was not up to par, the dessert was good). In short, I wouldn't return.

28/06/2026: Yes, it's over an hour from Bologna, but what you find is worth the trip! A true osteria, with a family atmosphere, quick service, and always a smile, good, authentic food. The zampanella, a soft, warm pastry made to order, contains, unlike the borlengo, Modenese pesto, and everything you could possibly want, from sweet to savory. You eat in a quiet, cool place, and the food is delicious... What more could you ask for? Oh, and the bill? A bargain!

22/06/2026: A wonderful culinary experience! We tried the green tortellini with parmesan cream (excellent!), a vegetable zampanella (very light, with ricotta, asparagus, and spinach), and a sweet zampanella with gorgonzola and fig jam (a difficult but perfect combination). The service was courteous and friendly, and excellent value! Reservations recommended if you're traveling on weekends.

10/04/2026: We went last night for an aperitif. It's a young, well-kept place, with well-arranged tables, fast service, and friendly, smiling staff. We were served by Davide, a young, competent, and brilliant man. Congratulations, we needed a place like this. We'll be back.

13/03/2026: I can only confirm the average reviews! Excellent ingredients, served with expert technique. Speaking with the owner, he told me he often travels looking for artisanal products to add to the menu and that he would soon be coming to Tuscany for just that purpose! Congratulations!

Excellent products prepared in beautifully balanced dishes. If we return to Carpi, it will be a must-visit.

21/05/2026: Hotel Locanda del Mulino is a charming, rustic hotel that blends beautifully into the landscape. The building's structure is quite old, giving it a certain old-fashioned feel. A real, rotating watermill attached to the side of the building adds to its charm and Mediterranean character. The hotel's restaurant offers excellent Italian cuisine, the service is exceptionally friendly, and you feel very well taken care of. When visiting Maranello, I highly recommend it as one of the best options in the area.

11/04/2026: Easter experience. Booked well in advance as the place isn't particularly large, but it was a truly positive experience. Four adults and an 11-month-old baby provided a high chair. Excellent food and friendly service. Highly recommended.

26/06/2026: We made a reservation a few days ago for a family member's birthday. We got there and they hadn't recorded the reservation. Okay, no problem, we asked if there was seating, and he pointed us to a sad, gloomy corner of the place. Okay, we were there now, and we sat down. While my wife explained how she'd liked the cake we'd brought served (perhaps with too much emphasis because she wanted everything to be as nice as possible), the owner stopped her, saying that she'd been doing this job for 30 years and we didn't have to explain anything to her. At this point, incredulous at the rude and impolite tone, we tried to stay calm, but there was nothing we could do. The owner, continuing to comment to herself and repeating that she'd been doing this job for 30 years, finally came back to the table and asked us to leave because she didn't like serving us dinner. We look at each other in shock, get up, and leave the restaurant without commenting (as we did during the owner's previous rant). Luckily, we managed to find a table at the Galeone di San Prospero, where we spent a wonderful evening, eating divinely and being treated like royalty, as true professionals do. The owner of the Dalmata, she may have been in this business for 30 years, but either she still has a lot to learn or it's time for her to stop. I don't say this with resentment, but we had a truly embarrassing time in this restaurant because of her behavior. How sad.

19/02/2026: A small place near the historic center. Only ten flavors, but the gelato is delicious and truly artisanal. The friendly owner happily taught my six-year-old daughter how to eat a cone without getting dirty. Highly recommended!

26/12/2025: We had a cake for lunch on the 26th, which was simply amazing and delicious. It had a delicate mulberry flavor and everyone loved it. Highly recommended.

07/06/2026: As a longtime customer of this restaurant, the quality of service and especially the food has declined significantly lately, along with an exaggerated price increase for a restaurant that is usually cheap. Now, besides being very expensive, the food is cramped and the portions are very small, I hope they'll return to the way they once were.

27/05/2026: We returned to this place on Sunday 24 May, but we had already been there in October 2024, where we had a very good time... the tortelloni with gorgonzola and walnuts were fantastic, tagliatelle with special mushrooms and tigelle and fried gnocco with cold cuts and double-round cheeses, the lard was really good, what can I say, we will definitely return to visit Mauro and his staff 👍👍

08/05/2026: The fried gnocco and tigelle are top-notch. The cured meats and lard are excellent. The old Modena green tortelli are also good, as are the passatelli in broth. Definitely worth returning for.

01/05/2026: I give the waiter one star: when we asked for a table for two, he dismissed us with a curt "not even thinking about it." Next time, maybe stop for a moment, look around the room, and use your brain: customers aren't numbers, and tables don't disappear into thin air while people are finishing their dinner.

09/07/2026: Fantastic! We had a fantastic dinner! Aside from the gnocchi with 36-month parmesan cream and black truffle, which were delicious, I was blown away by the pork tomahawk! I've never eaten such good pork in my life! Congratulations!!! Really! Perfectly cooked, pink on the inside, incredibly tender, a sight to behold! Well done!!! I'll definitely be back! P.S. The beers were also delicious! 10 out of 10!
