08/09/2025: We were there for a ceremony. I wasn't familiar with it, but I was surprised because everything was good... The fifth star is missing because the service wasn't the best. When they served the food, they left gaps in the middle of the table, with no consistency. That is, they served it in patches, not following the order, for example, from the head waiter (usually the person being celebrated). The same goes for the drinks service. They were served in stages... surely also due to the fact that all the rooms were full. But there's room for improvement.

26/12/2025: Every year when we arrive in Policastro from Germany, this is the first place we visit. The pizza is excellent and really inexpensive. The owner has known us for a long time, and everyone is very friendly.

08/09/2025: The atmosphere is very spartan, the service is slow, I don't know if it was a coincidence but for a pizza we waited 1 hour, the parmigiana and the fried food were reheated. Never again.

09/11/2025: Ok so… I don’t know how they can afford the location with the lack of quality or charisma. The real estate is 10/10. Gorgeous. The food? Terrible. The service? It’s like they were even surprised we sat down. The prosciutto was dry and gross. The cheese was the driest mozzarella I’ve ever seen. The staff was unbothered. My Aperol spritz was ok though.

20/12/2025: I went for dinner with colleagues, and I must say I was already certain I'd stumbled upon a place where the flavors of yesteryear are truly mouth-watering when prepared with heart and passion. Their signature dishes are the cod, both with salad and sauce, and the pasta with lard. Everything was prepared quickly and professionally by the waiter, who immediately welcomed us along with the owner. A simple and small place, but warm and welcoming, with fair prices. Once again, the difference lies in the people!

22/11/2025: Everything was good. Everything was excellent. The atmosphere was top-notch. The only thing that really bothered me was when we paid. There were three of us, two of us paid in cash, one by debit card. The owner even went so far as to tell his nephew to take a €3 tip. This was a huge lapse in style, but we'd have given it on our own initiative anyway. He didn't even bother to provide a receipt. We can't really complain, but it was very unpleasant.

11/10/2025: A sweet discovery, we went to eat a pizza and I must say it was really excellent with quality products, the service was excellent and attentive to detail, the place was very nice

14/03/2026: Too many people, too loud, the waiters are all over you, clearing away plates and cups as soon as you finish your meal, even as everyone else at the table continues eating. They do it so you can get up quickly for the next service. The food is good, but the size, for example, of the croissants is ridiculous. The prices are ridiculous, and even though we'd ordered at the table, we had to pay them at the cashier along with everyone else who'd eaten at the counter, standing in line. Terrible, and part of that new, needlessly expensive Milan.

20/08/2025: We went to this restaurant and had a great time. The place is welcoming and the staff is very kind. The pizza is amazing with fresh and tasty ingredients. The burgers are also truly TOP. 04/01/2026: We stopped by on New Year's Eve for breakfast. We walked in, and after repeatedly greeting each other, no one answered. We approached the dessert counter to inquire about the selection and were greeted as if we were being rude. We were rudely told that we had to pay first, and after retorting that you had to choose to pay, we were "forced" to sit down so the table service staff, the same ones who hadn't greeted us at the entrance, could give us all the directions they could. We sat down, and the staff, even though they weren't already busy serving other tables, abandoned us to wait. ABSURD. We got up and left. It would have taken a good person to deal with the level of hysteria that was going on. HORRIBLE

10/12/2025: Our stay was a complete disappointment and a terrible experience. The establishment bears no resemblance whatsoever to the description provided on the booking website. * The advertised swimming pool does not exist. * The room, described as having a sea view, actually overlooks the main terrace with constant foot traffic and no privacy. It was impossible to open the window. * The solarium and jacuzzi are extra, and there is no private beach as mentioned in the listing. * The restaurant was booked for a birthday party with extremely loud music and an MC shouting into a microphone until 1 a.m. * The following morning, the staff started cleaning noisily at 8 a.m., making it impossible to sleep. * When we complained, the manager acted in bad faith, even going so far as to claim that the establishment was not a hotel, but only a restaurant. This is unacceptable, especially when you are renting rooms. We had to cut our stay short and cancel the following nights, but despite the problems we encountered, no refund was possible for the night we spent there. In short, the promises made in the advertisement are far from reality. We absolutely do not recommend this establishment!

16/11/2025: We stayed here for a few nights, and I have to say: the place and location are truly beautiful, right on the sea! It was a bit difficult to find parking and have to climb over 100 steps to get to the property. The rooms were spacious and equipped with all the comforts. It's a shame we had a few issues with some small animals, but they were available to try to resolve the situation immediately. The breakfast was nothing special, a bit "poor" for the price. All in all, it was a great experience, with friendly and helpful staff. It's definitely very quiet, more suited to families or anyone seeking total relaxation and peace. Perhaps the value for money is a bit too high, though!

02/09/2025: We went to this beach in person 20 days before our vacation to ask if there was availability for an umbrella for a certain period. They explained to us that the situation wasn't easy for them (which I understand). They also said there wouldn't be any problems, the space would be available; we just had to contact them a few days in advance. We wrote a few days before and they told us that the entire period wasn't available and that three days would be vacant. That's fine. They gave us the price (which wasn't the one we'd discussed, but that's fine; it was a busy day, she must have been confused). We tried to negotiate the price a bit and were told that they weren't a stall and that they don't hold auctions. That's fine, we apologize and accept, and we send the deposit. On our first day under the umbrella, the weather was practically unbearable, and the lady kindly advised us not to go down and that she would let us make up for it. This gesture was appreciated, and we promptly repaid her by eating (deliciously) on the beach despite having a house just a few meters away and a supermarket right next door. The surprise is that, if you get a period of uncertain weather (and I don't mean bad weather), the lines for umbrellas are halved and the party begins, something we obviously hadn't been told about (just like the shower, which isn't included in the umbrella rental; it's €15, including a €5 deposit for a card—well, that's fine, too). Basically, if it weren't for the staff at the bar, the spotlessly clean open kitchen, and the empathetic and professional lifeguards, this review would have one star. From the moment the lines are halved, everyone RIGHTFULLY wants the service they paid for, the place they paid for. Since it was frequented by a very relaxed, adult, and well-mannered clientele, there were no major problems for 10 days. The beach was self-managed, except that on the last day, an argument broke out between the beachgoers and the owner (who pretended to be the manager) came down and asked my pregnant partner and I to move the umbrella we'd paid for because she thought we wouldn't be going on the last day (despite the fact that it was expensive) and that we hadn't told them the days before that we'd be using it until the last day. And then, last but not least, she said, "Go to the back row because I'm in charge here and I make decisions." We didn't start any arguments; we simply pointed out that we were under the umbrella assigned to us. They're lucky because they're in an area with few alternatives: a tiny beach with umbrellas glued together. Your lounger is practically glued to the one next to it, maybe 20-30cm apart at most, so anyone in that area is almost forced to use it. The alternative would be the public beach. There were four of us (my partner, my parents, and I), but every day we set up our umbrellas on the public beach (since we'd brought them for the open-air days), so as not to crowd together even more (also because it's prohibited by the rules). Since it's very likely that this will be denied, I'm attaching a photo, one of which shows how the water practically rises, forcing us to remove the umbrellas (which really bothers me, and in fact we were silent for the entire duration of the holiday, and despite this, we were told who's in charge and who's not). Kindness is probably mistaken for foolishness.

25/09/2025: Honestly, a nice place, good and varied products, the tact and common sense are missing, not from the owners but from its staff, the service needs improving.
