20/10/2025: The only restaurant on the beach. The dishes are all fresh and they always offer the catch of the day. Everything is excellent 😍

17/10/2025: The fish menu costs 20 euros. The food was delicious, and the service was also good.

25/04/2025: A group of five friends passing through Salerno on their way to Pompeii stopped at this restaurant for lunch. The place is lovely, clean, and the staff are very friendly and the food is excellent. The bill was very fair. We were completely satisfied.

13/04/2025: The food was truly poor: the appetizers were soft and oily. The bruschetta was soggy, but the anchovies were good. Various soups with various preparations were all oily. Honorable mention goes to the zucchini flowers, which had a thorn that stuck in the roof of one of the diners' mouths (we didn't know they were fish; no one pointed it out). The first courses were mediocre. Service wasn't excellent: the first lady who approached our table when we asked for information shouted at her colleague (because we asked if certain dishes were suitable for pregnant women) and said, "You see, the ladies here are pregnant!" All in all, in a loud voice, and with the dining room quite full. A nice location overall, but no view. The restaurant and restrooms were clean. The price was average.

08/02/2026: I had dinner there with my family, and I can say that the staff is very kind, but I wouldn't say the fried food and pizza were inedible, but almost... the fried food was super frozen and badly fried, the pizza was tasteless and undercooked.

16/01/2026: Historic pizzeria, the pizza is not only good, but also spectacularly cooked.

08/02/2026: Terrible, the food may be worth the price, but the service isn't. Sunday lunch is all about pasta with sauce and Genovese, not even in canteens. Pizza only in the evening, fish out of the question, at least if you knew beforehand. At the table, the cheese platter should be served with the cheese, not with the last spoonful. First and last.

22/10/2025: Quant place, with a good location and a gathering place for locals. What gets me is the constant persistence to rip off the tourists? I am all up for fair prices, but 28€ for two small beers and two small Aperol spritz is not even Majori beach prices and this place is imbedded in the mountains. I won’t go there again and when I like a place I always go back and I am happy to leave money with the locals bars and restaurants. This is just not necessary. Pity it was raining as well, but if the place works for me who cares.

28/09/2025: Very nice place! Friendly staff, great food, nice atmosphere on the townsquare right next to the church. Quiet and not so much tourists. Both locals and tourists who where there.

05/03/2026: Accustomed to the pizza dishes in the area, we were expecting a pasta dish that would fill us up after a good walk. We found something very different. A waiter who was not too busy and who did not come out to ask us for drinks or food. Ok, it is low season and there were few staff. After 40 minutes the dishes arrived. Tiny portions, the fusilli were missing meatballs, the ravioli with lemon, yes, good, but it was a plate that consisted of 8 units of ravioli, not one more. They must have been confused by the children's portion.. right? 🤔🤔 Obviously the waiter did not come out to ask if we wanted coffee, dessert or anything else, since he was sitting quietly chatting with another gentleman. We went in to pay, he charged us and did not even say goodbye... Exquisite service! Maybe for a break and a quick beer it's fine, but definitely not for stopping for a meal. Look for another option.

30/10/2025: The guy who assistanted us was so friendly and again beautiful energy. The setting is cute because you can also sit and enjoy. The first night we went in and I wanted a regular pizza with no meat and I asked him and he made one especially for us. I am so grateful. The food there are just delicious. We even offered a tip and he was like no. Such a great guy. Thank you for being so good to us. We went again the next day to have breakfast and the croissants and cappuccino was again just Soo yum..

03/10/2025: The only thing that saves this hotel is its seafront location. Everything else is to be rejected: rooms full of dust, stains everywhere, terrible and worn shower, regarding the transfer services they are really in a bad state, the restaurant is awful, the food is terrible and the prices are absurd, if it weren't for the splendid sea they might even close for me.

31/08/2025: We stayed at the Hotel Saline from August 22nd to 27th, 2025. The only positive things were the kindness of the people and the sea view. I mean, "view," because the sea is inaccessible due to the underwater reef that extends from the shore for dozens of meters, which is also very dangerous. We had to go to the beach elsewhere, spending a lot more money. Furthermore, I think the chef was on vacation during the week we stayed, so he couldn't make pasta that wasn't overcooked—I'm talking about penne and rigatoni, not fresh pasta. The only professional was the maitre d', Pasquale. Eggs at breakfast had to be paid for separately; at €145 per person for half board, two scrambled eggs would have been fine. Finally, to the left of the hotel, there's a long-unfinished eyesore, still owned by the same owner, and when we went to pay, no one asked how our stay had been... did they already know the answers and related criticisms? Being from central and southern Italy myself, I'm truly sorry to have to write these things, which are unfortunately true! Given the level demonstrated, it does not reflect the declared category...perhaps a little more transparency combined with an appropriate price could avoid controversy.

04/10/2025: Food is not great in flavor and size for the price. Have in mind they charge cutlery but don’t offer a great restaurant service (it was empty when we had dinner) Not worth it 😕

22/09/2025: Lovely restaurant on the edge of Ravello, just a short walk from the nearby parking lot. The restaurant is connected to an art store, and they even serve food on the beautifully designed plates sold there — a nice touch. We visited with a group of eight and were given a table with gorgeous mountain views. Service was friendly and efficient for us, though we noticed a few other groups leave without ordering (not sure why). We ordered pizzas, pasta, and lasagna. The pizzas and pasta were excellent, and while the lasagna portion was a bit small, it was still very tasty. Food arrived quickly, which was great for our group. Overall, a great spot to enjoy a meal before exploring the beautiful town of Ravello.

23/10/2025: Excellent service, they treated us very well. We don't speak Italian, but at no time was that an impediment to the excellent service we received.

10/09/2025: Amazing pastries and friendly service! A group of us frequented this establishment daily during our stay in Salerno due to their high quality pastries and wonderful coffee as well as their hospitable attitude toward Americans. On our final day, we were provided a heartfelt, "Goodbye my friends!"... I will cherish this place and it's people.
