15/08/2024: The staff is welcoming, among them a young woman who knows how to speak English very well which made things easier for us. Very wide variety in the choice whether for cakes or ice creams. The prices are very affordable, especially for us who come from Paris. Please note, the café stays open quite late (11 p.m.) for those who want to treat themselves to a treat at the end of the day, for example.

19/05/2024: The fried mozzarella pizza I had was amazing as well as my husband’s salame calzone. Everything was fresh and hot. It is a walk away but they have two stools to eat inside. The lady at the counter was so nice and pleasant. She really went above and beyond to suggest other things we night like and she was right! We tried the fried pizza dough balls with pumpkin leaves. So good. We bought 2 of the doughnuts to eat later. They were wonderful. You should definitely go there and try the food. Inexpensive too!

24/03/2024: They live up to their name: the fried calzones are incredibly tasty. Everything is good. The people inside are also very good. In particular I remember the lady, I don't know if she was the owner, very kind.

17/08/2024: Pessima esperienza.. dopo aver chiamato per prenotare ci hanno assicurato che ci stava posto per accomodarci.. ma dopo aver percorso più di 70 km siamo arrivati lì e siamo stati respinti dicendo che era tutto pieno..

17/08/2024: what a nice surprise! we looked for a restaurant on the A2 where we would arrive around 1pm during our car journey towards the south, the reviews seemed good, but the surprise of finding it just one km from the exit, with private parking (which is very you are traveling with luggage!) a large and renovated environment among the olive trees and a rich menu made up of local dishes and products, kind, fast, helpful staff and incredibly low prices given the quality, makes you even happier. WELL DONE!

11/08/2024: Vera gemma per gli amanti dei piatti a base di pesce. Ogni piatto è preparato con ingredienti freschissimi, esaltando i sapori naturali delle materie prime. L'ambiente è accogliente e raffinato, perfetto per una cena romantica o una serata tra amici. Il servizio è impeccabile, con personale attento e cordiale che rende l'esperienza ancora più piacevole. Consiglio vivamente di provare il loro primo Atlantis. Da non perdere!

30/07/2024: In the historic center of Policastro, in the small square in front of the Duomo you will find this characteristic restaurant with tables overlooking the mother church. You dine in an atmosphere of other times, where time passes slowly, with a pleasant coolness. The food is all of good quality and above all truly zero km, from the appetizers of excellent Cilento cured meats, to the cheeses, to the vegetable-based one with peppers, aubergines, parmigiana and pumpkin. Then we had two second courses of meat, including a mixed grill which was really good and plentiful. The homemade desserts are also good, including a tiramisu in the glass. The service was fast and kind. The enchanting environment for those looking for the heart of a village from times gone by, peaceful and quiet.

14/07/2024: We stumbled upon this restaurant for a dinner with friends and returned the following two evenings. Outdoor dinner directly in front of the Duomo in the historic area of ​​Policastro, an easy-going environment and very friendly staff. All the appetizers are good! ...sea, vegetable garden (marinated pumpkin is fantastic if you like vinegar!) and cured meats and cheeses.... The ricotta ravioli with Cilento sauce and the cavatelli with seafood sauce are excellent, as is the fried fish! ....sweets....amaretti cake! Excellent quality/quantity/price ratio. Thank you! 05/08/2024: Excellent location, on the outskirts of the historic center and opposite the large public car park. Romantic atmosphere, very friendly, attentive and thoughtful service. Good quality food, and generous portions. Medium-high prices.

13/08/2024: The food is ok. The service here is a punishment, it's impossible to communicate with them, and they won't even offer you cutlery for the falling apart pinsa. Instead of serving customers waiting in line, they serve kids who come every now and then regardless of others. Funny experience, best regards

03/07/2024: Ordered via delivery app. Wrong order (the ingredients on the pizzas didn't match), the place was unavailable after dozens of phone calls, poor quality ingredients with the bacon on the pizza giving off a truly repellent smell. Everything is so approximate. Ruined pizza night, lesson learned. Never again.

25/08/2024: Ottimo ristorante per godersi un bel pranzo in famiglia o tra amici! Adoriamo andare al Barone Fortunato per rilassarci, staccare la spina dalla vita frenetica di città e mangiare bene. L'ambiente è sempre molto accogliente e rilassante, il verde circostante mette di buon umore, in più i bambini adorano le giostrine e gli animali della fattoria, tenuti benissimo, insomma è una vera immersione nella natura. Il cibo è squisito e di ottima qualità, antipasti con ampia scelta, primi piatti ottimi e carne davvero di alta qualità. Il servizio è veloce e cordiale, il personale di sala è sempre gentilissimo e sorridente. Insomma, consigliamo a tutti di visitare questo ristorante, noi ci ritorniamo sempre con piacere!

12/08/2024: .AWAY FROM THE CROWDS! Absolutely lovely restaurant in a quiet setting away from the center crowds, heat and noise. We were eager for light lunch and they had just what we wanted…a delicious seafood salad…and a limoncello spritz! We hope to get back for dinner.

29/08/2024: Lady with brown hair and glasses refused to offer us a table even though there were spaces. She didn’t even say hello, simply just said no. Another customer offered us her table because she was finished, and the waitress said no. Racist!!

25/09/2023: Sono entrato in questa focacceria insieme a mia madre (settantenne) con l'intenzione di mangiare qualcosa... Dopo aver "soprasseduto" di fronte alla ragazza alla casa (e al suo collega) che, con evidente indisponenza, non volevano darmi un tavolo perché - testuali parole - “non avete prenotato in anticipo”… Chiedo se posso comunque ordinare il cibo e portarlo via. Alla loro risposta affermativa, ordino due focacce e pago contestualmente. Premetto che era usa serata fredda e piovosa e, nonostante tutto, hanno PRETESO che aspettassi fuori dal locale e mi hanno OBBLIGATO ad uscire - insieme a mia madre - perché (riporto ancora le testuali parole)… “non abbiamo lo spazio per passare”. Ovviamente il motivo non era lo spazio, anche perché mezza sala era VUOTA. …ASSURDO!!! Hanno perso due potenziali nuovi clienti.

04/08/2024: So one of the best pizzas I've eaten, really high quality, focaccia-type dough, let's say a little more double than normal pizzas, it really stands out, but there are negative notes that need to be improved if they want to go one step further, staff not at all courteous. We arrive and with 35 degrees as is normal in August we ask for the coolest place between inside and outside, the answer: it's windy at the back... we don't have air conditioning, and the waitress from behind says It's cool in your house . Too bad my wife heard it otherwise I would have left. However, the air conditioning was there but turned off, evidently it costs too much. Apart from this, fortunately the food was really excellent, unfortunately we found a dirty glass, and we were the only customers so it didn't take much to avoid certain mistakes. I will definitely go back, but definitely not in the summer, with the hope that in the winter there will be the finances to install the heating.

15/06/2024: Last end of the year I purchased an extraordinary zuccotto with excellent ice cream, today I wanted to repeat the experience on the occasion of a family occasion, but I had a sad disappointment, a completely different zuccotto with flavors of ice cream inside that they did not evoke the traditional "zuccotto". HOW SORRY!
