20/06/2025: I have always eaten well at Bertie's, both for lunch and dinner. The stuffed focaccia is excellent, very crispy, with anchovies and burrata. The service, however, does not keep up with the level of the food offered and the simple but refined environment. Easy parking on the street without problems. Good choice of meats.

17/06/2025: In transit towards Cilento with a group of friends, we stopped at a hotel in Nola (Il Belsito, 4 stars) where we had already stayed a couple of years before. Looking for a restaurant for dinner, the owner of the hotel recommended Bertie's Bistrot, even offering to drive us there with his car, given the particularly congested traffic time. The place immediately seemed very pleasant and the food we ordered and enjoyed was even more so. I think the pizza I ordered, the "carciffola arrustata" was one of the best pizzas I have ever eaten in Campania, served spectacularly under a glass bell for smoking. According to my companions, the other Capricciosa Iberica were also very popular, including the generous fried fish. So Bertie's Bistrot has ended up in my vast and very personal list of restaurants where I might return, a place that I certainly feel like recommending to anyone who might find themselves looking for a place to eat in the Nola area.

01/06/2025: Exceptional cuts of meat. Wide selection of wines. Abundant and tasty mixed appetizer. Absolutely average price for the quality offered. I recommend the warm chocolate heart cake to best end your meal.

12/06/2025: Its good pizza but beware. Language barrier with staff so make sure they get order properly. We ended up paying for a pizza we didn't order. Also, make sure to ask for your total and breakdown of total. They did charge us an additional 5 euros more than likely bc we were the only tourists in the entire restaurant. None of this is make or break but need to be aware prior to dining.

02/07/2025: This was one of the best restaurants we ate at on our entire trip. This place is tucked away on a winding street, so it isn't something that you may notice. It isn't fancy at all. It is ALL ABOUT THE FOOD!!! And the prices were quite favorable.

13/06/2025: Mirna is a very passionate and caring person, always there to greet the customers with a smile. Im not a huge fan of piadina but i had to change my mind about this cuz it was mouthwatering and delicious. Definitely an happy place HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

31/05/2025: A nightmare, an exhausting slowness. It's all timed: I went to sit down in the 41st minute of the first half of the Champions League final. First half recovery, break between the two halves and the entire second half until the final whistle, in total about an hour and ten minutes: there is no shadow of our food even on the horizon. What was it? Two piadinas, that is, things that in any place in the world after ten minutes they would make you get up to let someone else in. After half an hour you think they are a bit disorganized but nights like this happen to everyone; after over an hour, it becomes a total lack of respect and the least I could do was get up and leave (paying for the now hot drinks!), without waiting who knows how much longer. The piadina was very good, from other people's stories. I have never tried it and will never go back.

20/06/2025: refined dishes that start from excellent local raw materials and combinations of coastal tradition to reinterpret them with creativity! The location alone would be worth the experience (a platform covered by curtains directly on the seashore with a sunset view), but the affability and promptness of the service, the relaxing aesthetics of the furnishings and uniforms, the right choice of music, a good wine list with young local labels and, last but not least, the excellent gastronomic proposal make Verricello a place to return to every summer. I'm sorry that the photos don't do the place justice but honestly we were too busy enjoying the dishes and the atmosphere!

19/06/2025: Honestly I didn't eat badly but not very well either, some dishes were really good like the appetizers, as a first course I ordered gnocchi with mussels but they were very soupy. The wine was excellent, the service too too slow despite there being very few open tables. A restaurant with unexpressed potential, it can do better!

17/05/2025: A truly lovely, successful evening at this restaurant. The two charming waitresses provide perfect advice, are always attentive, and are there when you need them. The wine recommendations were also outstanding. The quality of the food was exceptional without exception; the presentations on the dishes were veritable works of art; I was almost hesitant to eat the beautiful arrangements. An all-around delight. I'd be happy to return!

01/06/2025: If you want to eat with high quality, this is the right place. I recommend the appetizer of cured meats made by them (delicious) and the meat at the counter. I had the organic marchigiana (fantastic) with baked potatoes.
