INDESCRIBABLE, the experience at Pepe In Grani pizzeria is somewhat diminishing, one of the best pizzerias, which maintains high standards (unlike other competitors who win awards but don't live up to such recognition). The incredibly digestible pizza, which even leads you to eat more than one, the location and service are top notch, with the right organization and the right price. Not recommended, but more so in an institution.

It's worth traveling miles to try this pizza. I had a Margherita and a scarpetta. The latter was fabulous. Not to mention the fried cone. Well done!

I had high expectations; it was a 1-hour drive, but I expected more…
I booked two months in advance, and it took me an hour to get there from Naples. The road is dark and bad, and once you get to the town, you have to find a parking spot on the street.
Speaking of the pizzeria: it's a nice place, the service is friendly, but I didn't like that the explanations of the dishes were only given to those on the experience menu, since I paid €8 for the service charge...
For the appetizer, we had the fried pizza cone, which was very good. For the pizzas, we had a Margherita sbagliato (I think it's called "wrong" pizza), a porcacaserta (I think that's what it's called).
As for the quality of the pizza, I expected something better, but nothing wow-worthy. The price for each pizza was €12/€14 (I think). For dessert, we had straccetti al miele, which were delicious. I also asked for the Liguore a gli agrumi (citrus) with it, but it arrived after the receipt because I reported it...
Mostly, I hadn't asked for the bill... and the bill arrived without asking...
From 1 to 10, 7 for everything. The pizza wasn't bad, actually good, but I've had better in Naples.
Would I go back? Honestly, no, because it's not worth the hour-long drive, but it's worth treating yourself. I'll leave the receipt in the photos for the final bill.

The experience wasn't entirely positive. Although the reservation had been made two months in advance, when we arrived it had been cancelled and the number of people was different. Fortunately, after a short wait, we were still able to sit.
We were seated in a small room while the staff was still cleaning the tables: the smell of disinfectant and detergent was quite strong and unpleasant, so much so that we had to open the windows to ventilate the room.
The pizza was good overall, but not particularly memorable.
The dessert was definitely a positive note, truly delicious: I'd probably return for that alone.

Excellent place; we only went for a pizza. I'd go back every week if it weren't for the fact that I live so far away. Excellent pizzas, impeccable and fast service despite being packed, and incredibly kind and impeccable staff. The only flaw, which is completely offset by the countless pros, is the lack of dedicated parking, as it's in an alley halfway up a flight of steps. If parking isn't an issue, go for it.

Pepe in Grani is simply one of the best gastronomic experiences you can have in Italy. The quality of the ingredients is extraordinary: each pizza tells a story of research, local tradition, and passion. The dough is light, fragrant, and perfectly digestible, a sign of truly rare craftsmanship.
The menu is creative yet always balanced, surprising without ever being overwhelming. Each pairing is carefully crafted, and the attention to detail is evident. The service is impeccable: professional, welcoming, and always ready to recommend the best course of action.
The atmosphere is refined yet informal, perfect for an authentic and relaxed experience. Pepe in Grani is more than just a pizzeria, it's a true destination for those who love signature pizza.
A must-try, and a must-return.

Pizzas that live up to their reputation, with an almost unbeatable price-quality ratio. The only downside is the service charge, which isn't included in the price and isn't clearly stated (a 15% surcharge is added to the bill).
