Pepe in Grani In Caiazzo

One of the best Italian pizzerias. Incredible dough and quality products. Fantastic.

It's not a pizzeria, it's an experience. From arriving at the restaurant, nestled on the stone steps of a village, to the training of the chef, but above all for the quality of the ingredients. The dough was a cloud so light and digestible, all the flavors of the five ingredients were evident on my pizza. For dessert, we had the honey-filled straccetti, but they were addictive, as was the buffalo ricotta cream they serve alongside.

First time going à la carte after having 4 tasting menus (32 flavours) before this visit. Here's what I recommend: 🍕 CIRO fried cone — 3 simple ingredients made SO SEXY. 12-month Grana Padano DOP fondue, rocket pesto, dehydrated Caiazzo black olives. That's it 🤯 🍕 Fried pizza — we had Montanara and Marterra (cod, lime, chickpea). Anything in this section will blow your mind. Dough is the key!! 🍕 Scarpetta — DOP buffalo, 12-month Grana Padano fondue (super LUX), uncooked cold tomato compote is the SOUL here, freeze-dried basil pesto. 🍕 Dolci dough strips — you NEED to end with this. Fried strips coated in sugar, cinnamon, honey. Dip is vanilla buffalo ricotta blended with rosemary and orange zest. If I had to name one pizzeria in the world that me and Melvin wouldn't mind going back to again and again, this is it.

I went for lunch with my family; the restaurant is located in Caiazzo, a small town in the province of Caserta. A very refined and elegant pizzeria, with friendly and knowledgeable staff. I highly recommend it. The pizzas and desserts are amazing. I'll be back. There was a bit of a line, but it was worth the wait.

A very well-kept location with a pleasant atmosphere, a welcoming ambiance, and thoughtful attention to detail. The overall experience was positive, although, personally, I still don't consider it the best pizza. Overall, it was a pleasant dinner, in a location worth a visit and one that might surprise me even more in the future. I'd revisit it with another tasting, perhaps trying different pizzas than this first experience.

On Thursday, May 7th, we went to Pepe in Grani, and the experience lived up to all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, the receptionist greeted us with great courtesy and professionalism, making us feel immediately at ease. The place is welcoming, the service attentive but never intrusive, and above all, the pizza is truly extraordinary: light dough, quality ingredients, and carefully crafted, well-balanced combinations. You can sense the passion and research behind every item on the menu. The desserts also deserve a special mention. Despite the place being packed, the organization was impeccable and the atmosphere very pleasant. It was one of those experiences that isn't just "going for pizza," but experiencing something special. We'll definitely be back.

It was an amazing experience! We drove all the way here, taking a 100km detour, just to have dinner here. I'd read about the restaurant online. The food was fantastic. The pizza was completely different from anything I'd ever had before. Everything was wonderful. The wine was excellent too. I even got to take a picture with the owner. Some German YouTube reviewers or chefs said the pizza was nothing special. I'm going to find that video again and tell those so-called experts they have no clue. If you have the chance, go and try it for yourself; it tastes wonderful.
